I chose this initially because I thought it looked more spacious for baby than other seats, and I could also use it with the stroller I got. It did the job, but I just feel like a carseat like this shouldn't be so heavy or awkward to carry. I also felt like even before my son was close to reaching the height limit, he was uncomfortable and felt too compressed in the seat. It's hard to say that he wouldn't feel that in other carseats though. I have twins and ordered two of them, one didn&rsquo;t come with the shoulder pads. The canopy bothers me the most because it&rsquo;s Velcro and the fit is so tight that it&rsquo;s constantly coming undone on one side, and very hard to pull down and reattach. There&rsquo;s a lack of support for newborns but we&rsquo;ve managed by using a blanket on each side to support their heads. I got the snug ride snuglock 35 as a gift and as a first time mom I&rsquo;m so sad because I wanted to love it!! I followed all the instructions and multiple videos to make sure I installed it properly but the car seat is not &ldquo;infant friendly&rdquo;, maybe because it&rsquo;s too big and deep. Even though it says it will accommodate my 7lb 4oz newborn. We tried to adjust as much as we can but the inclination doesn&rsquo;t work, the car seat is too vertical and the baby&rsquo;s neck doesn&rsquo;t get any support from the seat and the head is falling forward constantly. Baby curls like a shrimp in the seat. You need an adult sit aside to support and straighten baby&rsquo;s head while driving. I don&rsquo;t feel safe leaving the baby in it alone because he falls forward so I need to have an adult holding his head but he&rsquo;s basically folded in half. The installation is easy which is nice. But I can&rsquo;t tighten the straps easily to fit him properly (when he&rsquo;s in the car seat). It is not a fun thing to use all your strength to tighten straps after just giving birth. I even have to step on the car seat and use my whole body to pull the strap to tighten it.. i have checked multiple times to see if maybe I installed the straps wrong but I have not. Now that I&rsquo;m out and about often(baby is 5 months old), I&rsquo;m realizing how difficult this is to remove from its base. It&rsquo;s aggravating. I have woken my baby from his sleep, which it&rsquo;s already difficult to get him to nap, every time I try to get this out of the base. I have had other Graco car seats that have not given me this much trouble in removing from the base. Installation was simple, following the instructions and when our baby was born it was a great fit. When my baby was 11 days old we were in an car accident that resulted in all air bags being deployed and our car totaled. Our baby was perfectly safe in her Snugride carseat and unaffected by the crash. She was unharmed and calm. I trust this seat to keep her safe because of that experience and am buying it again to replace the one that was in the crash. I did have some complaints such as the lack of head support for a newborn. It is also always very difficult to remove from the base. I lived with those things but after 9 months of using this car seat the straps started acting up. Now, no matter what I try, one strap or the other will not catch and tighten. I am scared to put my baby in this car seat.
