I was excited to try the product out for my 3 month old daughter. She loves swings and wasn't a fan of our previous bouncer, so I welcomed the new option! It was a little tricky to put together but didn't take long. The swing base feels sturdy and operates very quietly, which is a big plus! My daughter was able to fall asleep (and stay asleep) while it was still moving. The bouncer frame is a little less substantial, but still strong and safe. (My other Graco bouncers has a little bit more of a sturdy frame, but I don't think that would be possible with the 2-in-1 model!) It is easy to strap the baby into the seat and I like that the shoulder straps can either be used or tucked away. The convenience of combining two products into one is great. This solution would be great for parents with a baby in a smaller house or apartment. It also has a low profile height-wise compared to some other swings, which is nice for smaller spaces. The footprint is a little bit bigger than I expected, but worth it for the safety you get. I live in a two story house, so the ability to take the bouncer off and bring it up and downstairs or around the house is very convenient. It's easy to separate the bouncer from the swing base and to reattach it. Its as easy as snapping an infant car seat onto my stroller. I've been able to bring it outside while my son plays and have even brought it to my parents house when we've gone for dinner. It's lightweight and easy to move around. My daughter loves the swing feature as well as the vibration, sounds, and songs in bouncer mode. The toys are adorable and detach easily for quick cleaning, and the fabric of the seat is plush and comfy for baby. The bar is easy to place and remove, as well. Overall, I'm very happy with this swing and bouncer. I'd definitely recommend it to a friend or family member. We already own a more expensive swing, but there are a few things that make this a better option for our family: 1) Being able to remove the bouncer seat and carry it to our porch without the need for an electrical socket. I didn&rsquo;t anticipate how much we would be doing this in the fall, and having this built into one product saves so much space in our home. 2) The straps come off with the seat fabric and can be cleaned in the event of a poop-splosion - this WILL happen to you at least once in any rocker (and for us, once a week! so frustrating with the &ldquo;roo&rdquo; product) Other notable items: The swing movement direction can be changed - manually, but pretty quickly nonetheless. The sound machine is a nice feature assuming you don&rsquo;t already have other standalone options in your home - the sound quality isn&rsquo;t as good, but again the portability of the built in is very nice. Unfortunately my LO has never been super interested in the toy bar on any product, but the toys on this are at least attractive, and also removable. Finally - let&rsquo;s talk about the age and weight limit. Although technically suitable for 25 lbs and 12 months, my 8 month old baby is no longer interested in sitting in this - or any other reclining baby device - a new development upon independently sitting and learning to crawl. Overall- I wish I had purchased the soothe and sway on day 1 INSTEAD of the more expensive brand swing, as the space saving and cleaning functionality is so helpful. For our family, it would have been incredible for 7 months. My littlest one is 3 months old now and he loves motion. I had been wanting to try out a swing and I am so happy that he loves it! I was pleasantly surprised that the bouncer is really easy to put on and pull off the swing! It took me a second to figure out the right motion to use, and I was worried it might be tricky to pull off but I realized I was tipping it up the wrong way and as soon as I corrected that it was super easy. I wear my son around a lot in our carrier, but it is super nice to be able to put him in the bouncer at times, such as when I am cooking by the stove. I love that I can easily transfer him to the swing if he falls asleep. And he sleeps really well in the swing! I found that the swing was a little loud on the &ldquo;max&rdquo; setting the first time I used it. I think that has eased up a bit, but I found I like to set it halfway in between the &ldquo;min&rdquo; and &ldquo;max&rdquo; setting and that is the perfect speed for my little one to stay asleep for an hour or two when he naps. The vibration feature on the bouncer is great. Mine is too young to really care about the toy bar. My opinion of the toy bar is that it seems fine, but maybe a little too easy to pull out of the bouncer- my two year old keeps yanking it out so I just took it off for now. Also I like that the toys can come off so the baby can play with them.. (eat them ;) but they come off really easily so I&rsquo;m not having a lot of hope for keeping them on the bar once my 3 month old becomes interested in them. In my personal opinion whoever can up with this idea was a genius! You can&rsquo;t easily move a swing around, but you CAN carry around a bouncer so having both in the house is nice. The product delivers what it says - 2 in 1 - which having a product do multiple things is nice! The biggest problem is that the snaps to secure the cover to the seat frame frayed very easily. It frayed so bad that the snap itself was barely attached to the strap. I question how long this would hold up with use and wash. Second, the assembly instructions could be easier to follow. I suggest watching a video. For some reason - maybe mommy brain, I had a hard time matching the parts to the diagram. Third, which isn&rsquo;t so bad - I wish the toy bar could be used with other toys. The toys that come with the swing attach by velcro so you can&rsquo;t switch out a favorite toy. Otherwise, there are wonderful features. The 2-1 always is attractive. The swing isn&rsquo;t slim and takes up way too much space for my small living space. She actually enjoys being in it and doesn&rsquo;t mind it swinging on high (it&rsquo;s gentle enough to keep her entertained). Off the bat, I loved the simplicity and color and knew setup wasn&rsquo;t going to take time. I also love how compact the swing is. It doubles as a light bouncer with carry handles, making it easy to detach and carry from room to room. It features a removable toy bar (which I won&rsquo;t be using as my baby keeps pulling it closer to herself), a multidirectional seat with adjustable swing speed which can face forward or sideways while in the swing mode. The seat has a very plush material and also, 5 point harness which I especially like safely securing my baby while in it. The seat has 3 recline positions while in the swing mode or in bouncer mode. Plays 6 songs and has 2 levels of vibration. While in bouncer mode, you&rsquo;d need batteries for the songs to play, and for it to vibrate, but the swing powers on by being plugged it. It is super simple to remove and re-attach the seat to transition from a swing to a bouncer, but what's key is that it doesn't make a loud noise that startles the baby. I've had some children never take to a swing and others who loved falling asleep in one. But when I opened the box to assemble, I fell in love with the cozy, soft material. This hugs my baby to give her comfort and security to calm down and fall asleep. The Derby color palette is gender neutral and very relaxing. Many swings on the market have brought and over stimulating colors, but not this one. See the attached image for a close up of the color way and plush material detail. I found the multi movement and multi recline feature to be a huge selling point. Sometimes my baby likes being rocked side to side, but there's are other times, she likes seeing what's going on around her and moving back and forth. The swing footprint is very reasonable and I'm between a compact and massive space higher. Personally, I'd have preferred a mobile that turns instead of a toy bar as a few of my kids have really been mesmerized with mobiles, but that's not a deal breaker. But what makes this different than other swings we have used in the past is the versatility. Being able to easily lift up the seat that functions as a bouncer and move baby to where I am is such a help in my big house! I have never had that before. I also like that I won't have to store 2 pieces of equipment when it's time to put it away when my baby outgrows this. It's hard to tell longevity of this item as I only got it about 2 weeks ago. Assembly was a cinch by my teenaged son. Word of caution: let it slide out of the box while it is horizontal and don't try to yank the likes out like I did and hit myself with it ;) Be a little more patient than I am! I also have to highlight the fact that it plugs in the wall as swings are battery hogs. I much prefer those that connect to outlets. It can get going pretty quickly at the fastest speed setting! The bouncer is very easy to remove and replace, and has two soothing vibration settings, which are also nice and quiet! The music isn't bad or too annoying, and I like that the speaker is on the actual bouncer instead of the swing apparatus so that even if you remove the seat you still have those features. The not so good:. I hate the toy arch. The toys stick on with velcro instead of through a loop, so you are stuck using the ones provided and can't use your own instead. It's also way too easy to pull down, so as soon as my baby grabs a toy he pulls the whole arch down into his lap. Also, while it is nice that the swing can change directions, the seat is not on a swivel, so if you want to switch it up you need to take your baby all the way out of the seat and put them back in again. There is only one &quot;nature&quot; around and the loop on it is incredibly short, which gets on my nerves after a while. This is a great swing - it's very quiet and has a smooth swing. We tried several other swings for our baby and he hated all of them, but was happy and comfy in the Graco Soothe n Sway. Setup is straightforward and took me about 30 minutes by myself from opening box to testing out the various functions. The music and vibration options are typical - a couple of options for each. My baby has never really cared for those things so we tried them out just to see but mostly used the swing and bouncer functionality. The bouncer is so helpful- it pulls off the swing mount very easily and the side handles make it easy to transport all over the house. It also drops right back into the swing base easily and in such a way that you feel secure that the seat is on and baby is safe. The bounce is pretty sensitive so baby doesn't have to work too hard to get moving. I also love that the cover is easily removable and washable. Just a few snaps on the back and it slides right off. As a busy mom I've definitely used this more as a bouncer than a swing and have moved the bouncer all around the house. The handles make it easy to move from room to room. The users guide says it was for babies up to 25, so I put it together and was going to try it out. There were a lot of parts, but the installation wasn't overly complicated. There was one plastic piece that did come cracked, but it was to cover a joint on the frame, so a small crack didn't matter. Once assembled, I put my child in the swing, and she loved it. It's now her favorite place to nap! She crawls over to it, which is now her sign to be put it. She is fairly long, so her feet hang off a bit, but she loves the swing function the most with or without the music. Also the stars/moon are easy to detach by her or my toddler since they only connect via velcro. It is so nice to have a combination product that can be used as a swing and a bouncer. We didn&rsquo;t have a swing with our first baby, so it is a nice luxury to have with our second. I love that it maintains a small footprint in our living room because of its dual functionality. It only took a couple of tries to get the hang of taking the bouncer off and on the swing. My favorite feature is the overall thoughtful design and details. Without having to move the swing component, I can face him toward the window to watch outside or toward where we sit so we can interact. Having the option for him to swing front-to-back or side-to-side is an added bonus, as well as the ability to recline. The swing is both ergonomic and aesthetically pleasing. The handles are so nice to have when moving the bouncer. The colors are beautiful, and the fabric is perfect. The seat overlay is soft on one side and can be flipped to a side that is waterproof and wipeable, which is great for diaper accidents! The baby loves both napping and just hanging out in the swing. He is now 6 months old and has a blast watching the toys move while he swings. Initially I thought I would have preferred to have the toys attached by removable rings instead of velcro so they could be used in other ways (to attach to a play mat etc), however the velcro ended up being ideal because he can pull down a toy to play with whenever he wants. Since the toy bar can be adjusted and removed, I can just tilt it back or remove it if he needs to sleep. The instruction booklet has all the necessary information, but could be more clear and organized. The swing and bouncer were not hard to build once I deciphered the instructions. I was a little confused when I read the instructions because the weight limit for the bouncer seat is different when used by itself than when used with the swing. I wish the weight limit was the same for both. His feet seem to come down pretty far, but he seems comfortable and secure. The noise of the swing seemed loud at first, but it isn&rsquo;t overwhelming. With the TV on or other normal background noises, it isn&rsquo;t even noticeable. One feature I don&rsquo;t like is the vibration. It is very loud even on the lowest setting. I didn&rsquo;t rate the swing any lower because of that though since I never really use the vibration. The music and nature sounds are fine, but I would prefer an option for white noise since that&rsquo;s what we use when we soothe him. It&rsquo;s a swing and a bouncer. The versatility is truly amazing. It&rsquo;s relatively easy to switch between the two, although I still struggle when placing the bouncer back on the swing to line it up right away. It takes me a few seconds of finagling it to get it on correctly. It also doesn&rsquo;t have any way to lock the bouncer on the swing portion. It feels sturdy enough on the swing, but I&rsquo;m more worried about my older toddler trying to remove the bouncer off the swing and it resulting in an accident. I feel like that could be a helpful added safety feature. I like that the vibration, sounds, and songs are battery operated apart from the power source of the swing, that way it can be separated from the swing and still have those functions available on the bouncer. The sounds and the toy bar are welcome and helpful features for sure. Although, the higher end of the vibrating portion seems a bit strong in my opinion. It&rsquo;s neutral colors and clean appearance would match well with a lot of different styles and decors, it matches ours perfectly. My favorite feature would be that the swing is able to face 3 different ways and allows for a lot of variety for how baby can swing. Overall this product is very innovative and it cuts down on the amount of items you&rsquo;d need in your home by combining two in one. I do wish the swing portion was collapsible to allow for storage when not in use. It would not be very small space friendly. Once set-up it's incredibly simple to move from one feature to the next as the bouncer is very lightweight and it sits on the swing base easily. In both swing and bouncer mode I really liked that the toy bar could be adjusted and that the recline could be adjusted. It feels like a product that grows with baby over time to meet their needs, which I adore. Also, the SPEED. Wow, this guy moves! I love that it can rock in a few different directions and can really ramp up quickly. Unfortunately, while my 7 month old daughter is still within the height and weight limits, she has definitely outgrown the product. I wish we had it when she was younger! She is able to sit up and crawl on her own and was fighting the seat to try and get out. I did love that with all her movement there is a light that blinks to alert you if the movement is too much or the baby is over the weight limit. It's so difficult to keep track of height and weight limits for every baby item and that is such a unique feature I haven't seen otherwise. The other aspect I don't love is that the bouncer legs are hanging out below the swing part and are an easy target for my little one that loves to pull on anything and everything. Compared to another Graco swing we have, I wish there were more then 2 sound options on this one and I don't believer there is a volume option. Before you know it, your house is filled with things for the baby - many of which he/she grows out of VERY quickly and then it's left to clutter your house until the next baby comes along (if there's a next baby). What I loved the most is the swing, (which in full disclosure, I received as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel) is its smaller profile than other swings - it doesn't take up as much space in our living room. It's also less cumbersome, so we can move it around the living room if we want and it isn't a big production (while still of course being very sturdy for the baby). I also really like how plush the cushions are (it looks so cozy - I want one in my size). And, the attached bar for toys is genius. I love that you can move it out of the way if it's too much stimulation for them and adjust it to their reach if they want to play. It really is a darling and cozy spot for your little one to play, nap or just chill. My only complaint is the necessity of batteries to utilize the vibrator or music. That is a major design miss - ESPECIALLY when the entire thing plugs in for power - why on earth would the music be separate? Not only is that an extra expense and hassle for parents (which let's face it, we do NOT need), it's not intuitive. We had the the entire thing assembled before realizing we needed to put in batteries and it's not simple to reach the place to insert the batteries. Major design flaw in my eyes that cost a star.
