My baby is in the upper limit of this swing/bouncer combo. He still loved being in the swing! I really like how this combines both a swing and bouncer. You never know what your baby will like more so it's really nice to have both options with this product. Taking it out of the box was easy and the assembly was fairly simple and straightforward. It took less than 30 minutes putting everything together, which is a huge plus when you are also caring for a little one. The material is very soft and it really doesn't take up a lot of space compared to other swings. I do wish there was an option to fold away. I like the plug in option, however, the cord is not long at all so you have to keep the swing close to the wall and can't move it where you want. The swing motor was pretty quiet. Transitioning to the bouncer was very easy! The handles on the side make it simple. It is so helpful if the baby falls asleep in the swing, you can easily lift the bouncer out and take it with you to another room. So smart! The toys are soft and one of them was crinkly. My baby enjoyed batting at them. To use the vibration and sounds, you have to insert 3 AA batteries, which it doesn't come with. Overall, I love this swing/bouncer. It's versatile and has a nice design. Best of all, it can be used for several months to help soothe the baby and it's easy enough to move from room to room as a safe place to put the baby while doing chores or taking a shower. I was worried it would be complicated to transition the swing to a bouncer and back, but was surprised at how easy it is - I could do it with a baby in my arms! Our son was fascinated by the toys on the toy bar, and really seemed to like the music (which can be adjusted so it's not too loud, which we appreciated as parents.) Overall, the swing is really smooth and it relaxed our baby in seconds. The only real downside was the size. At 4 months old, our average-sized baby is already almost too long for the swing. It has so many features! Its a bouncing seat, its a swing, and white noise machine. I looked at some reviews from amazon and saw the #1 complaint was with the speed of the swing. I tried it in all different speeds and never encountered the problem. The slow speed would be great for an infant and the higher speeds as they grow. My LO likes the higher speeds. My LO is about 13lbs, but that was no issue for the swing. The swing uses an electrical outlet and the vibration and white noise use batteries. The bouncer seat is very easy to detach from the swing. The seat is also very soft and has an extra insert for infants. The handles are convenient too. Plus the play bar moves! I have a different chair that the play bar is stationary and I have bumped my poor babies head trying to get her in. The play bar come with 3 of the cutest stuffed toys, a moon and 2 stars. They velcro on and it gives my LO some entertainment to rip them off. My only complaint would be, when the swing is on high speed it makes a squeak noise. But it isn't very loud. What an amazing product, I am a first time parent and in preparation for my little one (LO), we bought and received from our families and friends everything that you could think of from the Best Baby Products List. However, after receiving this product, the swing that I had from my baby shower is now collecting dust. I love the versatility of this product, it acts both as a bouncer and a swing, saving us space and extremely aesthetically pleasing in our modern contemporary living room. I am a petite mom with no upper strength, but since the bouncer is light and so easy to snap on and off, I have had no problem navigating it by myself without calling my husband to help. This is a manual powered bouncer instead of a battery or electric powered one, however, that did not bothered me because it still allows me to take a break from holding my LO and gently bounce him by pressing on the side bar with one of my hand or foot. The swing is amazing though, my favorite feature is the dial! It allows us to have a wide range of swing power compared to other swings on the market that have specific 3-5 settings. I tend to go half way on the dial when I first put my LO in the swing but once he falls asleep I would dial it down to 20% so he would rest more soundly. My LO loves the vibration of the swing, it helps calm him down much quicker compared to the other swing that I own. The songs are a little limited but it doesn't bother my LO, the bird chirping though kind of sounds like toilet flushing so my husband and I had a good laugh when we first turn it on. The toy bar is also super cute and just enough, it is not loud or obnoxious to the eyes. I think that&rsquo;s the most unique feature of this swing, as the rest is pretty no-frills with the hanging stars to looks at and multiple vibration settings. My baby was happy enough with the vibrations and stars, but they don&rsquo;t move so I don&rsquo;t think it would entertain her too long-term. I like that the color is gender neutral. As a note to remember, the rockers&rsquo; recommended weight limit is less than the swing by about 7 lbs. The Graco Soothe 'n Sway LX Swing with Portable Bouncer falls into both categories. We are enjoying the product so far and baby is currently in this swing as I write this review! Pros Multiple purposes: The ability to use the product as both a swing and bouncer is very convenient. The transition from swing to bouncer and vice versa is straightforward once you get the hang of it. My favorite feature is that I can put baby into the swing and then move baby as needed within the same seat. From a safety perspective, I felt comfortable removing the bouncer seat from the swing with baby still in it. The seat needs to be in the most reclined position before it can be 'un-clicked' and removed from the swing arm. Ease of use: The straps of the 5-point harness can be buckled and unbuckled vertically, allowing for baby to be easily strapped in or picked up from the seat. Putting the swing/bouncer together was easy and had clear instructions even though it is two products in one. I enjoyed that the base was not bulky and I could easily place it in my living room without losing a lot of space. Being able to detach the bouncer when needed is an amazing bonus for me in my house especially when I needed to bring my son into the kitchen with me to cook dinner. It was quick and fast to attach and detach each time we transitioned the product. The Bouncer even had adjustable positions to move my son if he was lying down swinging or if I wanted him to sit up more in the seat. The bouncer included sounds and vibrations, which we used the vibrations more than the sounds. He also loved looking at the toy bar when in swing mode, but not as much in the bouncer. I do have a toddler and I noticed that the swing speed nob was easy for her to reach and turn on/speed up the swing, this was the only concerning thing to me about the swing. Ultimately, I loved it and my son loved it. Graco is a trusted name in baby products so already I knew a lot of time and research went into the product itself. The box was compact and putting it together took about 40 minutes. It wasn't the easiest to put together but as long as you followed the directions you should have no trouble. My first impression is that it takes a smaller footprint than my other swing. This would be ideal for an apartment dweller or for anyone with less space to dedicate to baby gear. It also is a 2 for 1 as it comes with an adjustable reclining bouncer as well as a swing. Again, space-saving. The transition from swing to bouncer was extremely easy. It does require two hands but a simple push forward and your bouncer detaches. This is also the way you can transition the swing from side to side to front and back. The vibration and music were especially helpful when I used the swing as a bouncer only. It would calm my fussy baby or at least grab her attention so I could finish getting her a bottle. The safety straps were also a much-needed feature as my baby is starting to become more mobile this gave me peace of mind. My favorite part was the fact that when it was in swing mode it was positioned higher than my other swing making it easier to place my daughter in it without having to bend down too much. The main con was that the swing made a noise when it rocked from side to side. I noticed it and my baby did not notice it. The gray, white, and greens of the fabric on the seat are attractive and soft. The buckle is easy to fasten and unfasten. I really like that it is a combination product, so it takes up less room in my house and I can keep one chair close by, ready to use. The handles on the side of the seat are really handy; I've never seen that feature on a bouncer before and it made sense. I knew exactly how to carry it. It also made me feel safer when I did have to move the seat. It was easier than I expected to remove the seat from the swing base. I like that the seat can face different directions in the swing so that it achieves different motions and I can reposition my baby without moving the whole swing base. I like that the swing speed is controlled by a dial rather than buttons. The cord has a detachable connection which really was useful. The moveable toy bar is unique and a great idea! The toy bar can be lowered so that my little one can actually reach the toys but can also be pushed all the way back to easily get him in and out. One negative is that the seat is too wide to easily fit through my bathroom door (smaller then normal door) but a quick turn to the side and it fits.
