As a mom of three I am no stranger to baby gear and have owned three other swings prior to receiving this one. Setup was quick and easy with only using the instructions as a reference. The overall height of the swing is shorter than many competitors while the seat remains at a comfortable height that I have no problem reaching my baby. I like the space saving design and when not in use I commonly have it setup as a swing to conserve floor space. I was able to set up the swing base in my living room move the rocker into my home office on another floor. The rocker is a convenient and safe place for my baby when I need to take a shower or completing tasks around the house. Adjusting the swing speed is easy. The slow speed would work great for a newborn but pretty quickly would not have enough power as baby grows. The max speed works great for my baby currently but does not seem as strong as other full size swings on the market. The vibration works fine and is comparable to other rockers/bouncers/swings on the market however, my baby has never been a fan of vibration. While my baby likes the toy bar she is able to easily remove it from its mounting location. I wish I knew about it for my older babies. My baby boy loves swinging in it. The most fantastic feature is that it can be used as a swing and a rocker and the transition to and from the swing is a breeze. The swing seat has been well cushioned and my baby feels comfortable resting in it. The 3 point recline feature helps in putting my baby to sleep in the swing. I use one recline angle when he is wide awake and slightly switch it to the second position when he is slightly sleepy and I turn on the vibration mode. As soon as he sleeps I switch it to the 3rd recline position which would be more comfortable for him to sleep. The seat can be changed to face any direction and I love the fact that it swings both front to back and side to side. my baby loves swinging in both the directions. One of these swinging types definitely soothes him when he cries a lot. This is definitely a game changer and a must have in any infant's house. The toy rod is simple and nice. I added a few other toys that had rings, to the rod. The transition from swing to rocker only requires lifting up the baby seat and I often do that when I cook in the kitchen and keep him nearby. He loves rocking in the rocker and smiling at me. I would highly recommend this high quality product and is on a very affordable price point too. Seriously can't go wrong with Graco. The quality of this swing/rocker is amazing. My favorite part about the entire product is that I basically received two products in one! I love how easily it is to adjust the seat to transition from swing to rocker and back again! I love the many features included in the swing/rocker. It has vibration settings to soothe your little one to sleep. You can adjust the speed of the swing which is another favorite part of mine about the entire swing. You can use slower swinging motions to help ease your little one to sleep and you can use the faster speeds to entertain your little one. The toy bar was also a huge bonus! OK, maybe others aren't quite that big, but compared to swings I've used in the past this one has a much more minimal footprint. It's also quite lightweight-enough to drag it somewhere else with one arm or nudge it to a new spot with your foot while you hold that screaming baby. Any piece of baby equipment I can move with one arm/leg gets an A+ in my book. Despite its lighter and smaller profile, the swing was totally sturdy and didn't wobble on the floor at all when I tested it out, which I got to do thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel. The rocker is super easy to remove-again, with one hand-and to put back on the base. Same for picking it up to switch the position of the swing. It also takes just a quick squeeze and pull to change the angle of the swing as your baby gets a little bigger and wants to sit up more. Another thing I liked about this swing was that you change the speed from minimal to maximum or any point in between, which just seemed to give me a little more control over the intensity. The only thing I wish this swing had going on was some music for baby to listen to. It comes with a toy bar that has a few dangling soft stars on it, and don't get me wrong my baby has had plenty of good times looking up at it and batting at it. But it would be nice to have a little more going on up there. I supposed you could always swap out the toys with other lightweight ones to keep it fresh. But also, the toy bar is a bit flimsy: when my baby was old enough to actually &quot;catch&quot; the stars she was able to pull the bar right off the chair. Of the many baby items I have set up during Mamahood, this was a piece of cake and the end product looks and feels amazingly sturdy. I was honestly wary of the idea of a electronic swing, but having both the electric swing and choice of manually rocking all in one is genius. I only wish there was a smoother transition between the two. Pros: -- No latches or levers in order to remove the seat and transition from a swing to a rocker (and back again) - although this could be much smoother as the base kind of heaves when lifting, making it less ideal for transitioning with a sleepy baby on board -- Great recline and multi directional seating options -- Easy on the eye design, that can blend in to any decor -- Can easily adjust the speed with a turn dial -- Little to no noise when swinging Cons: -- Toy bar is way too accessible for a curious baby - it took all of one minute for my little one to grab and pop out one of the toy bar sides so he could have a new teether -- Seatbelt is fit oddly, the crotch strap pulls on my little one, so although it fits, it looks a bit uncomfortable and is not seamless to put on when trying to lull my little one to sleep. -- Not so smooth transition when taking off the base swing -- Wish the seat was a bit bigger or longer to support our longer legged babies My favorite features of the swing have to be the adjustable speed and the multi directional seating and recline. On our manual bouncer the recline just never seemed to sit right causing my little one to strain or prop themselves up to get a comfy angle. Definitely not the issue here. The nice thing about the Soothe 'n Sway is that you can easily remove the seat to turn the swing into a more compact rocker. The swing has an easy dial to adjust the speed, and the rocker seat has a separate, battery-powered motor for vibration. When my daughter was content in the swing, but I needed to go in another room (typically to chase the toddler!), I could easily detach the seat and bring the baby with me. The swing's portability is unmatched! It's easy to take it room-to-room or even on a jaunt to grandma's. My baby was a big fan of the vibration mode and the various swing speeds was a perk as she got older. I love that the seat can be detached from the swing and used as a portable rocker. It was SO easy to remove the seat from the swing! It&rsquo;s so helpful to either have baby higher up in the swing (if I&rsquo;m doing dishes or folding laundry) or lower on the floor in the rocker if I&rsquo;m playing trains or building blocks with my son. The swing/rocker isn&rsquo;t very heavy so I moved it all over my house! I love the versatility! My 4 month old daughter fell asleep quickly when I turned on the vibration feature while in the swing. Adjusting the speed of the swing was so easy to do by turning the dial. My daughter also loved the toy bar that could be placed over her or in front of her. She loved looking at the stars! The only negatives to this swing/rocker is I&rsquo;m not sure how long it will last. Very confident to move baby around in, especially while sleeping. Cons: 1. Difficult to put together (the picture directions are difficult to understand). 2. My daughter is 8 months, and her legs hang off the side of the rocker. 3. It is shipped disassembled and does take a little time to get it put together. It comes with all the parts and tools to do so. It is quiet for a swing and works well. The clips hold my baby securely. The color I received was Alex just like my first borns name! So that was interesting. The color is so cute and vibrant. It can easily go for girl or boy. The swing part of the product is pretty good. The rocker on its own is the perfect place for baby to hang out and watch while I make myself lunch in the kitchen. The rocker seat is lightweight and has a small footprint. The swing has been a lifesaver when baby hits the 4:30pm witching hour/ scream-fest when baby wants to be held and rocked and I want to be making dinner. Pop her into the swing and, like magic, she starts smiling, reaching for the plush star toys, and is entertained and soothed. The Sooth n Sway is easy to use.
