Not so with this one so far. Ther picture quality is good, quite vivid, and you can set alerts and a zone for movement. The light functionality is cute, but my son likes the dark, so we don't utilize that function much. I can also use the Two-Way talk to help soothe my baby in the middle of the night. I know whether he is comfortable enough in his room thanks to the built-in room temperature sensor. It&rsquo;s truly the biggest piece of trash that we bought for the baby. It doesn&rsquo;t work about three quarters of the time&mdash; even if the wifi is full strength, we just see green when we try to see the baby using the app. I really wonder if they do this on purpose to get you to buy their premium membership for the app (as if I would give them more money). The &ldquo;temperature monitor&rdquo; is busted. We had to turn off notifications for the temperature because it would constantly say it was like 0 degrees Celsius in the baby&rsquo;s room which is obviously not true. Most recently, the app has completely stopped working for us claiming something about &ldquo;privacy settings failed to update&rdquo; so it&rsquo;s completely useless to us until we can get in touch with the company, which as a new parent who is very busy, I doubt we&rsquo;ll ever find the time to call the company and probably wait on hold for hours. The monitor itself makes this incessant clicking noise when it&rsquo;s turned on which wakes the baby if baby is sleeping lightly. Truly truly trash. You would be better off buying one of those simple walkie talkie style audio monitors than this piece of garbage. At least then you would be confident that you can at least hear the baby 100% of the time. With this monitor, most of the time, we would have no clue if the baby was screaming unless we were in earshot. By day the camera is in colour and by nightfall the infrared feature kicks in. The image is crystal clear. To avoid doubt, you need to use with your compatible cell phone. There are pretty neat features such as two-way talk, temperature room display, the camera pans, tilts and zooms. It comes loaded with lullabies and stories, but I really don't use these features. My two favourite options are the night light and baby zone setting. This allows you to draw a perimeter around the crib. If anything goes into or comes out of the crib, I get a notification on my phone. So, I know if my child is trying to climb out of his crib or the cat hops into the crib when my son is with us. Anywho, given the amount we spent on this camera, I&rsquo;m satisfied with the results. I highly recommend trying it. One thing, if I had any regrets and this isn&rsquo;t the company&rsquo;s fault. I simply didn&rsquo;t think of this when I bought this unit. I would probably upgrade to a camera with a parent viewer. My mother-in-law doesn&rsquo;t like using the app, so this is the only downside when she is babysitting. However, for someone tech savvy, this really isn&rsquo;t an issue. The benefits outweigh, this one small blemish.
