It is so cute! My daughter loves pulling up on the bar or sitting on the mat and playing with the hanging toys. This toy can last from newborn through young toddler. A newborn would definitely enjoy laying on the mat looking up at the hanging toys. And as baby gets older he/she can sit and grab at the toys. My daughter is the beginning stages of walking, so we removed the mat. She loves to pull up on the frame and reach for the toys.
