(1) Cannot confirm about the iPAD; especially if you want to keep the iPAD operational. if you just want to store it that's something else. (2) Yes, the best feature of this is that it protects the back seat from the dirty / muddy shoes of my son. would recommend; as its been good in my use for organization &amp; protection of seats.
