Getting these cameras setup is easy by following the instructions and adding your wifi information. Also needed is the LeapFrog Baby Care App for all the settings and features. Once everything is setup, you are on your way to watching and keeping everything in view on your smartphone. I&rsquo;ve only used wifi connected monitors in the past that required you to download an app and monitor using that as the only option. Although handy, there types always prevented me from using my phone while continuously monitoring, plus they drained my battery. Because of this, I was really happy that this system came with a large monitor screen in addition to two cameras. I like that I have the option to use the cameras via direct connection or hook it up to wifi. The screen is a great size and has an antenna and a built-in kickstand. It&rsquo;s pretty simple to set up and use and I like that the cameras are free standing so I don&rsquo;t have to mount these anywhere. The picture quality is very good and the night vision is much superior compared to my old camera which was limited to black and white picture in the dark. The ability to have cameras in multiple rooms is also quite convenient since we have a two story home. Whether you have multiple kids or need to monitor a downstairs versus upstairs bedroom, it&rsquo;s convenient not to have to disconnect things and move them around. There are plenty of features including a night light plus soothing sounds which helps eliminate the need for an external night light and a sound machine. Overall this is a very good baby monitor and full of great features. It is super easy to set up and install. You can mount the cameras on a wall in a couple of minutes, or simply set it on a dresser or table. The picture quality is wonderful. Crisp and clear. I really like that it can tell you the room temperature and humidity level. I knew the air was dry, but I didn't realize just how dry it actually was. The dimable night light is a blessing in the wee morning hours. You can also change the color of the night lights which I like a lot. It is also a sound machine and plays lullabies that can help soothe our little one back to sleep. I love the fact that you can watch, listen, and talk through the cameras. My husband likes that he can look in when he's at work to see how everything is going. It truly adds peace of mind and I know that this monitor will be so useful as our baby grows into a toddler. The color night vision is really neat too, because I like to watch him sleeping, and this allows me to see him as if I were in the room with him. By having two cameras in addition to the main unit, I'm able to place the cameras at different angles and in multiple rooms. There are a few options on this camera that I absolutely love. First, my husband does not have good vision. Yet, this monitor is so clear and with a large screen, its easy for him to get a great view. The sound and lights are great in that you do not need to purchase these separately. I also really like the room temperate gauge. This really helps as we have a heater in the room and its nice to ensure that the room does not get too hot or cold. I enjoy traveling with this set. It is easy to setup and helps monitor the kids in hotel rooms as we travel. You are even able to have those quick conversations when not in the same room. It&rsquo;s great it comes with two cameras. The monitor only stays charged 12 hours so I need to keep it plugged in at night. Picture is great and nice it can alert with sound when there&rsquo;s movement or noise. The parent receiver is lightweight and has a large display but it's small enough to easily carry from room to room. It's packed full of useful features we use regularly like the sound machine that plays lullabies, nightlight, and the temperature monitoring function. The two way commutation will be very handy as he gets older. I love that I'm able to use the app to view my baby from home when he's at home with his babysitter. Also, the five inch video monitor has wide angle viewing up to 110 degrees and last 12 hours before needs charging again. The camera is lightweight and small don't take up much room. Loop 1 is a closed loop 2.4GHz Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum, and is always on, working out of the box, connecting the Parent Unit to the Camera. No one but the parent unit sees this feed. There is a second mode, called WiFi, that can allow the camera to send the audio/video feed to your local router, and from there out to the internet. This WiFi mode is in the OFF position from the factory BY DEFAULT. To enable WiFi, you need to pair the camera to your router (this is a one time setup, you do not have to repeat this after the first time), then you need to download the Free Leapfrog App from the App store. Create a password protected account with the App in order to access the feed from any smart device (iphone, Android, tablet) connected to the web (without the App and password, no access), but there&#39;s still one more level of protection, you have to toggle the WiFi ON from the parent unit. You can also toggle it back OFF at any time, making anyone with the APP unable to see anything. You control the WiFi from the Parent unit, after it&#39;s set up. So you can turn it On to let Grandparents see at a specific time, or when you leave home for a short business trip, then toggle it Off when you no longer want the WiFi available.
