I had been using a ring sling and a cheap carrier that was not supportive enough. As soon as I opened the package and tried it on, I could tell the quality was much higher than I was used to. I put my 6 month old in it and she was asleep within 5 minutes. In the past week I have used it for outdoor events and walks with my dogs. I love how it does not make my back hurt, doesn't dig into my shoulders, and has a light hood for baby in case it is too sunny or starts raining. It is very secure for myself and my newborn. I feel very comfortable with my baby&rsquo;s neck which is what i was looking for. I was given another carrier that was a different brand and it was a wrap carrier. My problem with the wrap carrier was my babies neck would be either bouncing all around freely with no support or had to be smothered and stuck side ways under part of the wrap which she hated. My new lillebaby carrier has checked all those boxes for me and i feel very confident now walking and freely using both hands while wearing my baby. I will say i understand why they sell the small pillow that can go with the pillow because there was a small gap at the bottom of her butt that caused her to slide, but that issue was easy to fix with a muslin blanket rolled up which is what is instructed to do in the directions if you don&rsquo;t have the pillow. I love that there&rsquo;s a pocket and a hood with this carrier i had a baby bjorn carrier with my last baby and would have loved that feature. I will say it was a little hard to adjust the band that goes around my waist after i put her in the carrier though with the belt was a little hard to pull for me. If that was more simplified i would say this is the perfect carrier for anyone. My husband wears an XL in men&rsquo;s and was surprised and happy to find out he can fit into the carrier as well with nothing else needing to be purchased or done. Plus this carrier gives couples the best of both worlds. It definitely makes a difference. Because of the mesh material that makes this carrier &quot;all-season&quot;, we do have to make sure baby girl has on a shirt with at least a little bit of sleeves and long shorts or pants as it does irritate her skin after extensive use. That being said...we would definitely buy this carrier again. It is well worth the investment. My daughter is 23 months, and is currently being treated for bilateral clubfoot, after receiving our first carrier, I've no idea how we survived the past 22 months without it! It's so soft, and so comfortable! She is happy and secure and gets the extra lovins she needs on days when she's stressed. It's given us so much of our lives back. As a toddler she wants to be active and going and see as much of her world as she can, with her disability though that can be frustrating and limited for her, our carrier allows me to face her out so she can still explore, see, and experience the world to the best of our abilities.
