Why, why would you skimp on extra &pound;10 to include it in design?! As they use plastic bushes in wheels it takes a lot force to push this think with your little one on it. I can only imagine how hard it will be to turn pedals once he grows! Steering stick end bit is thin too so its only time matter till it gets bent and broken... From engineering side of point anything that spins suppose to have bearings or at least pre lubricated bushings, but surely not plastic c..p like here... It feels like your little one is 20kg instead 12kg when you push this trike on walkway! She loves it. She loves to ride around and try to steer. She is only 9 months, and can't reach the foot rest yet, but she sits toward and holds onto the handle bars. My only down side to this great product is 3 things. 1) Difficulty in building. Prepare to sit down and put a little bit of time into this. Never had much trouble building things, but this gave me a small bit of trouble. 2) The parent tray at the top keeps falling off. It only snaps to this bars, and keeps popping off. But it only holds my phone and a water bottle while we are using it, so it doesn't bother me much. 3) There is a really sharp point under the waist bar on the sides where it connects (see attached picture). The waist bar will not stay attached on one side and keeps exposing this sharp point. My daughter has come close to putting her leg on this (She wiggled around a lot). Very afraid she is going to hurt her self with this. Other than these things, I love the product. I just wish there was a way to fold it up for travel. It isn't travel friendly. A over the shoulders seat strap for secure lock in. This bike will eventually create independence over the next 4 years as it transitions. I bought it because it said it was ride and relax, so it should recline when the baby falls asleep which is great however there's not much had support and my kids couldn't really laid-back while we were pushing it we had to tilted at an angle and push it back to the house. I wouldn't buy this model again because of the fact that you can't really ride and relax you so worried about their heads flopping to the sides that it's not relaxing. Pro: The best part about this trike is that it has the pedal safety guards tell my kids feet cannot reach the pedals yet but I can rest on the safety guards and that's an awesome feature it should be on every trike Con: You definitely cannot push to trikesat the same time at a steady pace. I kept having to put it back together just to know how to complete the assembly. I think the price is too high for all the plastic. I have not tried to take my grandson for a ride yet. I hope it does not fall apart. I would not recommend this product. We had a previous version of this trike with my son and I loved that one as well, but when he would fall asleep on our walks he would haunch over (he was fully strapped in as well). It was so uncomfortable looking that we would end up carrying him. This one changed that with the reclining option!! It makes me love this type of trike even more!! My 18 month old loves to ride on it and everytime we go outside she will go and sit on it and say &quot;walk.&quot; If we go on a walk we use the foot pedal attachment as I tend to walk fast and don't want to get her feet caught. We remove them when we are playing outside at home and I walk her up and down the driveway and sidewalk in front of our house. I like how she gets to feel the movement of the pedals and hope that will help her when she can ride on her own. My 4 year old son will ride the trike on his own and loves it too. The removable canopy great! I like this one better than the previous trike I had as the canopy is curved and I feel provides better protection; plus, it stays in place when there is a breeze present. The older model had just a flat canopy that would flip up often, even with the slightest breeze. It is so easy to steer with one hand, which is so nice when you have to hold hands with your other child while crossing streets. It has a smooth ride is so easy to push! The cupholders and back bucket were a great addition from the previous model! Its so nice to be able to carry your necessities on your walks. My daughter likes to have her babies in the bucket when we are riding at home! The only downfall is the assembly. It took me a few days to assemble because I am by myself with my kids and it does have quite a few pieces to assemble *it probably could've taken less time if I had done it on my own time. Our 1.5 year old loves the feeling of control and ability to see in all directions. We love all of the places to put things. We use it daily. Cons: It was a bit of a time-consuming event putting it together -- about an hour all together. But it's sturdy with a flexible design when all is said and done. (And one wheel sticks on occasion.) I'd recommend it without question. We previously owned a SmarTrike and loved it, but this Little Tikes version makes great improvements . First is the recline feature. You will end up using this as a stroller because after your toddler sits in it they will only use this -- our son did. It just feels a lot &quot;cooler&quot; to toddlers than being stuck in a &quot;baby&quot; stroller. The recline feature enables them to relax. Second, is the foot rest - It is a nice big comfortable foot rest while SmarTrike only has pegs which mostly went unused.
