I believe this happened due to the fact that you can't steer the thing AT ALL! Why would you even make a toy like this? The concept is great. I love everything else about it; cup holders, shade screen, horn and steering wheel... but dear God, I shouldn't have to constantly kick the wheels with my shoe to steer it! I am not going to be a very happy grandma when I trip and fall because this thing has a broken handle and doesn't steer. Anyway, overall, wouldn't purchase again and I know what to look for now.
