We were reluctant to use a pacifier before one month (before breastfeeding was well established) and on day 30 during a good crying session I popped the pacifier into baby's mouth and I fully understood why it was called a &quot;pacifier.&quot; He stopped crying immediately. Game changer. I like that these pacifiers come in a plastic carrying case so I don't just have to throw them in my bag. They are really easy to clean and I really like that they are one solid piece as opposed to some others that we tried. We tried one brand and water would get into the hollow mouth piece and I couldn't get it out. The idea of having stagnant water in a pacifier seems like a really bad idea. We ordered a second set of the 0-6M pacifiers so we always have some clean ones laying around in a pinch. He would move it around in his mouth so the bumps would rub on the front part of his gums that were tender from teething. The design is smart, it dips where her nose is so that she can breathe easier, and it doesn&rsquo;t make her look like a pig. She won&rsquo;t take any other pacifier, and I&rsquo;m okay with that because it&rsquo;s design makes it so that it will not effect her teeth. I&rsquo;d give this product a 9/10. If they could make the sides a little smaller or softer it would be a 10. The lightweight material and the curved base worked well with my newborns small face, and it fell out less often than another popular newborn pacifier I also tried. The bulb is a great shape that my combo fed baby seems to be able to hold onto quite well. The silicone is very soft, and the case makes sanitizing super quick and easy. I like that it is lightweight. I like that it has the hole in the center where I can place my finger and kind of hold it into my baby's mouth. I love that the shape keeps it away from my baby's nose, so that I feel confident he can breathe easily. And I love the sanitizing case! It's so nice and easy to put some water in, pop it in the microwave, and have a safe, sanitary pacifier for my little one! But unfortunately, I could not get my baby to take this pacifier. I tried, and that little hole I mentioned made it easier for me to hold the pacifier in for him, but he always popped it out eventually and never really learned to take it himself. I'm not sure if it was the size (it is bigger than some of the other pacifiers we tried... maybe this pacifier is better suited for babies that are a little older). To be fair, I have tried at least five different brands of pacifiers, and he will not take any of them. So there is not necessarily anything wrong with the Medela Baby Soft Silicone Pacifier. It just isn't for my baby, unfortunately. I was anxious to receive it because up to that point my baby had rejected every other pacifier that we had tried to give her. She is exclusively breastfed and I had bought at least 10 other brands to try and she would gag and spit out every one immediately. Overall, my baby liked it. She took the pacifier sooner than any of the others and didn&rsquo;t gag immediately. I believe this had to do with the shape of the nipple and the material. It wasn&rsquo;t too long or big and that made a big difference. It&rsquo;s also lightweight so she was able to hold it in her mouth without losing it every few seconds. The design fit nicely around her mouth and nose and it made it easy for her to breathe and didn&rsquo;t get suctioned to her face. At the hospital he started using one that looked similar, but he has grown to prefer the lightweight, orthodontic style of these. For me, I LOVE anything that resembles an adorable animal. It gave me an extra smile to see my baby happily soothed with the bear shaped pacifier. I also appreciated that these were one piece and had no places to trap water, so I could rest assured that they were perfectly clean for my baby. The sanitizing case was a great upgrade too, it felt much more sturdy than others I&rsquo;ve used and stayed closed securely so they were always safe even in the bottom of my diaper bag. There was one additional thing that also made these pacifiers stand out, and that is their shape. Because they have a nice curve to the top, I was never worried that it was pressing too much against his nose. My son is used to a bulb shape pacifier so there was a bit of an adjustment there, but he really grew to like them! They are also awesome if your baby is teething. Having a baby in a pandemic brings a whole slew of extra things to stress about and I LOVE that you can steam sterilize these in the case. We&rsquo;ve used another brand of pacifiers since she was born that has the more standard &ldquo;bulb&rdquo; nipple, which she seems to prefer as a soother, but what I liked about the Medela pacifier is she also could use it as a teether! The shape and light weight of it made it easy for her to grab and hold, so when she wasn&rsquo;t using it as a standard pacifier, she could grab it and turn it around to chew on. One of the perks of an all-silicone pacifier! It was also super easy to clean - I&rsquo;ve found that other pacifiers can suck water or soap up into the bulb, and the design of this Medela pacifier prevents that keeping it extra sanitary. However, he takes this pacifier every time!! I like that this pacifier is wide and thick enough that he can grasp and hold it in his mouth as he's developing the ability to hold objects. Additionally, I love the bear shape, which will make for great pics as he uses it more :). Another great feature of this pacifier is that it's one piece; no need to worry about the nipple separating from the body and creating a choking hazard. This pacifier is thick enough that it survived a few rounds in my bottle sterilizer without incident, but the best thing is the sterilizing case it comes in. The silicone material washes easily and can go from dirty to sterilized in less than 5 minutes. Two come in the set, so if one is dirty, there's always a backup. This will come in handy as my little one uses pacifiers more often. It comes in a handy case that doubles as a sterilizing case (just place it in the microwave with water) The pacifier is so soft and flexible, so it does not irritate the skin or leave marks on my babies face like some hard options that I have used in the past. My daughter really took to this pacifier, and uses it all the time, rarely spitting it out. The fact that it is quite soft and lightweight makes it easy for my baby to keep it in her mouth. I did not notice at first, but there is a space to attach a clip so it won't get lost easily. Finally, the design is really cute! They are lovely, well designed, and appear to be comfy and easy to clean, but my little guy will not keep these in his mouth, just like every other type of paci we've tried! Things to note despite this: - The sterilizer box was easy to use to get these set up and cleaned after being repeatedly thrown on the floor in protest. - The adorable bear shape looked picture perfect for the 0.3 seconds it remained in his mouth each time. - The size and shape made them easy to find on the couch, under his toys, and neglected in the corner of his crib at night. They did NOT roll under the couch despite his valiant attempts.
