It is very light. I received this product for free as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I like how it is completely silicone so can safely go in my sterilizer. We have been battling yeast in our home so everything is going into the sterilizer daily! Unfortunately, my little guy just didn't take to this one. I tried it several times and he really was not interested. While my little one enjoys bulb shaped pacifiers this was not her favorite. But I will speak to what I enjoyed about the overall design of it. It is undoubtedly adorable! I really liked that it&rsquo;s silicone, my teething baby like to use them as a teether and they were nice and light wait for her to be able to hold and find on her own. I also enjoyed the fact that they were all one piece and Clear in colorMaking it easy to see if it needed to be cleaned and easy to do so. When I introduced the Medela Baby Soft Silicone Pacifier to my babe, he would only use one type of pacifier. I was beyond thrilled that he immediately took to this pacifier, which quickly became his favorite. We liked it so much that I reached out to see if we could buy more before they went to market, but I have to wait just like everyone else. It is breathable, even through our first cold. The babe is now sleeping on his stomach and the curve of the pacifier stays in and comforts him as he sleeps. We are also teething, and no rash is being caused from friction between drool and pacifier which is amazing! The shape of the nipple is also just enough so that the baby can keep it in his mouth compared to other silicone pacifiers. Lastly, we bought a random lovey to attach to the pacifier and it really does seem universal! We had no issues with it attaching or falling out of his mouth. While a great looking pacifier, with a little handle to grab without touching the nipple, the feel of the pacifier was way too hard and stiff for my baby. Every time I put it in her mouth, she&rsquo;d gag and be unable to put her mouth around it to suction. However, my baby has a hard time with pacifier so I wasn&rsquo;t surprised. Even though it is the preferred nipple shape that she likes, she wouldn&rsquo;t keep it in more than 10 seconds. I think it was too small and she would have benefited from the next size up. My little one received the pink and white pacifiers, and the first thing I noticed was the super cute bear shape. However, the Baby Soft Silicone pacifier is large and heavy. We received these pacifiers when our daughter was just a couple months old and weighed 9lbs. The Baby Soft Silicone was very large on her face and quite heavy for her little mouth. She ultimately had difficulty keeping the pacifier in her mouth. We love the soft silicone feel and the adorable bear shape, but they are not very lightweight. We absolutely love the case the pacifiers are stored in. The case is also a sterilizer for the pacifiers that can easily be filled with a bit of water and placed in the microwave for just 3 minutes. Very convenient! Our favorite part of the Medela Baby Soft Silicone Pacifier is the bear shape and soft feel. We are not a fan of how heavy and large they are. We will offer them to our little girl when she&rsquo;s a bit bigger. This nipple was longer than the brand he prefers (he gagged on this pacifier the first few times we gave it to him) and the overall shape of the pacifier seemed too big for his face. The outside part on the top of the pacifier was too long and kept hitting him in the nose when he sucked on it. It seems like this product may be better suited to an older baby. I'm hoping he will like it better in a few months. I should note that he is not small for his age. He&rsquo;s in the 65th percentile for weight and 70th percentile for height. I like that the pacifier is all silicone so it's soft on my baby's face, but it seems heavier than the brand he prefers. Also, I like that there's an indent on the front side where the nipple is. This is ideal for a baby who is new to pacifiers. It works well to tap this indent with your finger to help the baby take the pacifier. The small bumps on the pacifier seemed to work well to prevent irritation as well. I also like that the pacifier is one piece, so water does not become trapped in the nipple like it does with other brands. I didn't like how small the hole is to attach the pacifier clip. The pacifier clips I use have a button to snap around the pacifier, but the hole on these pacifiers are too small to fit. I would make this opening larger. The Steribox worked well to sterilize the pacifiers in the microwave. I also like to use this box as a carrying case for pacifiers while on the go. I like that the box has plastic stabilizers inside to keep the pacifiers from rattling or making noise while they are in the diaper bag. It would be nice to have the sterilization instructions etched into the box. I love that the whole thing is silicon so even if he takes it out and just kind of chews on it, the whole thing is soft. I also really like how pliable the nipple is as I think it seems more natural to my baby. The design, a little bear, is very cute, and I like that there is a little hole so you can connect the paci to a clip. This pacifier has been the most successful with my baby and I think that has a lot to do with the well thought out design of it. I also like that the case it comes with also works as a sterilizer in the microwave and has the directions directly on the case so you can&rsquo;t forget them. And aesthetically it is cute - has an outline of a little bear. But I wouldn&rsquo;t say that my 5 month old particularly likes this more than the rest. He is used to something light weight and was already 4 months old when he received this to try. We gave it to him on multiple occasions, but he rejected it after no more than a few minutes. For my son, it was too big for him as a 4 month old and my impression was that it was too heavy. That all being said, about a month later he started teething and chewing on everything, so while waiting for some teething toys to arrive I gave this another try. He loved chewing on it, not necessarily as intended, but all over! The heavier rubber was perfect for his discomfort and seemed to bring him some relief. I have held on to it rather than retiring it as it has grown on him slightly as he has aged and started a new phase. In terms of characteristics, I liked the breathability and durability of it. It cleans easily and the sanitizing case was an added benefit. Although I will not buy more for my son, I would consider getting this same model and brand should I have another child and starting it off with this immediately.
