With only 3 pieces to clean (2 if you keep the case snapped together) it&rsquo;s a much more efficient cleaning process that feels more bearable than pulling apart and scrubbing 8-9 tiny pieces. These connectors are easy to clean, assemble and get the job done for pumping. I do prefer clear connectors so that I can visualize when my milk has stopped flowing but otherwise these were satisfactory. I also did find that the hinge where the connector opens to allow you to remove the flange and clean often comes in attached which is easily reattached and just a mild irritation. They are easy to clean and prevent milk from getting into the tubing which is super nice. There is a slight angle to the connectors which gives a bit of freedom to move around and still have the milk flow downward into the bottles. My main gripe about this connector is that the membranes aren't sold separately. They do wear out and need to be replaced every so often, but you have to purchase the whole connector assembly which seems a bit wasteful. I also wish that the top part or at least part of it was clear so I could more easily check to make sure that milk is coming out. I usually stop by the bathroom and look in the mirror, but it would be nice to be able to just glance down. Overall quality and function is great and it gets the job done! They are so simple to open, clean, and put back together. They only come apart to create two pieces so there are way less parts to try to clean and replace when needed. This saves time cleaning and money spent on replacement parts. I was very impressed with the amount of suction that was given and the fact that these are completely closed off. This means that you can move around as freely as you like without worrying that milk will spill or leak. I was even able to relax in my favorite chair and lean back while pumping. I was so comfortable I almost fell asleep pumping! I had minor issues with attaching the piece that lifts upward; I found that when inserting the yellow valve piece and then trying to close it, it would pop off occasionally. I didn't find much of a difference as far as reclining while pumping went. I felt I had to sit upright most times to pump to prevent any potential leakage from dripping down the flanges. The best part for me was the closed system aspect. I had no worry of my tubing getting moisture and thus mold growth, which is a win! I&rsquo;m looking for convenience and the ability to multitask. I loved the rounded design and minimal parts of PersonalFit Flex Connectors. I could conceal these easier under a shirt and they were quick and easy to clean, no narrow spaces to get in to. I also appreciate that they&rsquo;re a closed system, so I don&rsquo;t need to worry about moisture in the tubing like other open system pumps i have used in the past. To me there is one major flaw to these, however. When they&rsquo;re tilted to near horizontal, they leak milk! This happened to me multiple times when picking up my daughter or retrieving something from the floor. This was very annoying and upsetting because of the additional mess I had to clean and the amount of precious milk I lost. I&rsquo;d estimate it to be 1-2 ounces each time. Because of this, I have found myself only using these PersonalFit Flex Connectors if I know that I will be sitting or standing upright for the entire pumping duration If this flaw is fixed, I&rsquo;d use them a lot more. When you are trying to pump the last thing you want to do waste time, stop, and dry tubes. These connectors provided a lot of flexibility and comfort while pumping. The way that the connectors are manufactured, they allow for you to pump in a more reclined relaxed position. Instead of being seated in a upright position which as a working mom is a huge added bonus to these connectors. After a long day or night with baby sometimes relaxing while pumping is a much needed break. With many other pumps there are a lot of pieces to wash each time you pump and this only had the two (although they were bigger pieces and still took up lots of space on my counter). Once I figured it out, it was easy to assemble and disassemble, so I didn't have to mess with it too much. They don&rsquo;t stick out very far, so they are discreet. They also have very few parts, so they&rsquo;re easy to assemble and clean! Occasionally I don&rsquo;t get a tight fit and you can tell because it doesn&rsquo;t suction correctly. This has only happened a couple times, and I use them daily. I received these as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, and after using them although they were nice I realized they weren&rsquo;t necessary. I haven&rsquo;t had milk back up in my tubing with normal connectors, but I can tell you it also didn&rsquo;t back up with these connectors even at an incline. I received them through the Stellar testing panel in exchange for my opinion and they are really good when wanting to sit in a recliner and pump or sit back in the bed. They are leakproof when connected properly and very comfortable. Because they are sealed once placed on, they help keep my milk flowing and the tubes not to clasp. My absolute favorite part about this product, though, is that they are SO EASY TO CLEAN and you can actually know with certainty that you are successfully cleaning the pump piece. I am used to sitting in a certain position (leaning forward, while usually eating breakfast or lunch at the table in front of me) while pumping, but I definitely appreciate the new design that allows you to sit more up right or even slightly reclined while pumping and still have an effective pump expression. I will say, I have found myself looking down at the flange/connector piece to see if I was done expressing milk and I wasn't able to tell as easily as versions past because the plastic used is white versus clear. Honestly, making that connector piece clear would be the only suggestion I can think of for this pump piece. Otherwise, Medela is right on the money with the updates they made!
