Little did I know, this is the same for less. The tube is a generous size that will last for the entire planned breastfeeding period, there is no scent (huge bonus), and this doesn&rsquo;t have to be wiped off prior to nursing. The product is easy to apply and is a very soothing texture. Using this product, I never had any pain, cracking, or chapping. As a bonus, it doubles as a great lip balm you can smear on when you sit down to nurse. Everybody wins! I had tried other creams on the market that either left my sensitive skin itchy or had an odd smell/taste that I didn&rsquo;t particularly feel comfortable exposing my brand new baby to. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel, I was able to try this Medela Purelan Lanolin Cream and I was SO pleasantly surprised. I used this cream 24 hours postpartum and saw improvements in my skin by the next nursing session. I love that its fragrance free and doesn&rsquo;t have a taste. I put some on my own finger and tested it out and couldn&rsquo;t taste anything at all. It comes out of the tube very thick but quickly thins out with the warmth of your hands and is easy to apply. I like that it doesn&rsquo;t fully melt, so it doesn&rsquo;t make a mess on clothing. I really love that there aren&rsquo;t any funky ingredients, especially when I&rsquo;m exposing my newborn&rsquo;s delicate self to it. For me, the only downside was that it isn&rsquo;t easy to use once its cold. I like a cold product when I&rsquo;m in pain and when I put this in the refrigerator, it firmed up so much that I couldn&rsquo;t get it out of the tube and once I did, it was no longer cold. However, that is a personal preference and all the other benefits outweigh that one down side for me. I currently have a two month old that I am breastfeeding and initially, I had a hard time feeding her due to cracked and painful nipples so I was having to use lanolin cream quite often. I will say that this product is much thicker and stickier than other brands as it isn&rsquo;t mixed with anything else and is 100% lanolin. On one hand, I appreciate that there&rsquo;s no added ingredients but on the other hand, this stuff is very difficult to spread and leaves a very sticky film/residue on your hands and other areas where applied. My nipples have not been having a lot of issues lately, but because it&rsquo;s winter and the middle of a pandemic where I&rsquo;m washing my hands constantly, my skin is still very dry and my hands have become cracked and painful. I use this product often on my hands and it works better than petroleum jelly, lotions, or other skin protectants. Even though it is very sticky, my fingers feel very protected and soothed as soon as I apply it. I do wish it was a bit easier to work with but overall, I am satisfied with how well it works. After a couple of days of frequent application, my skin shows definite improvement. Applying lanolin cream consistently during those early days can help ease the pain while your baby learns to feed. The cream was so effective and within&nbsp;days I noticed significant&nbsp;improvement. This cream provided the relief my nipples so needed! The squeeze tube made for easy application. I loved that it's 100% natural and you don't have to wipe the cream off prior to feeding. This was imperative&nbsp;in its usability given a newborn feeds so frequently and unpredictably. I also love that it's ethically sourced. These are two things that are important to me when selecting products.&nbsp;&nbsp;The cream is a bit thick, so its suggested to rub between your fingers to warm up slightly&nbsp;before applying. Even doing so, the cream still was on the thicker side. But hey, if that's why it works so well- I don't mind. The package does warn that the cream may cause discoloration to fabrics, which I found to be true. I received this cream right when I was in the thick of breastfeeding, I was in my first weeks with my third and was dealing with a pretty bad latch which lead to very dry, sore and cracked nipples. While this cream isn&rsquo;t going to work any miracles for a bad latch, it certainly helped heal my nipples. It comes in a squeeze tube which makes it very easy to use and apply. Over the course of using it, I noticed more moisture and overall less dry cracking in my nipples. It also acted as a barrier to prevent more rubbing and chaffing against my nursing pads and clothing. I have tried different creams throughout my years of breastfeeding and this was easily my favorite. I am currently a breastfeeding mom for the second time. I had tried the Medela brand lanolin with my first-born and was not a fan of it, simply due to the smell and texture. This Purelan Lanolin Cream is much better in smell and texture. It is smooth to apply, and keeps me from cracking all while being safe for my newborn as he nurses. The 100% all-natural ingredients is a huge win! Using this lanolin keeps me from getting as sore and tender. Being in the early stages of pumping and breastfeeding, nipples can easily become a source of pain, so I am thankful to not experience it as badly when using Purelan Lanolin. The thing I did not like about the cream is how it would easily stain clothes with a grease look if it got on them. Although most lanolin creams I have tried leave a stain, it would be great to have one that didn&rsquo;t. The cream truly is a game changed for EBF and pumping mamas. It is easy to apply, not oily or greasy to ruin clothing or bras, and easy to wash off hands. Best part is it is safe for infant so you don&rsquo;t have to worry about washing off when feeding or pumping. HUGE! Noticed a huge difference in cracking going completely away from feeding and soreness from the pump. My baby had tongue and lip ties that weren&rsquo;t diagnosed until 6 weeks, so my nipples were in pretty rough shape. I actually started using this product a couple of weeks before we got his ties revised and I really think this lanolin cream helped them heal from the damage done by his poor latch. I really like the creamy texture of the product. It was nice to apply and didn&rsquo;t feel quite as waxy as other lanolins I&rsquo;ve tried. I even used it on my super chapped lips a few times, and it worked great there too! I also like that the ingredients are natural and safe for baby, without needing to wash off prior to nursing. Still, I nursed her for 13 months and knew I wanted to do the same thing with my son. Finding a good nipple cream was on my to do list, but my water breaking at 34 weeks threw me a bit of a curveball, as my son stayed in the NICU for 21 days. While he was there, I was exclusively pumping. Having sore nipples from a breast pump is very different, and the lanolin cream I was using wasn&rsquo;t all that great. Luckily, I was sent this Purelan Lanolin Cream to try and it really made a difference. One thing I really like about this cream is that it is 100% all natural. There&rsquo;s no odd smell attached to it, which is great for me as I&rsquo;m really sensitive to scents. While my son was in the NICU, I was pumping eight times a day and this cream lasted between more than one pumping session. I feel that makes it very cost-effective, as I didn&rsquo;t need to use it as often as I was using the other cream I had. It&rsquo;s a very thick cream, so squeezing it out of the little tube it comes in was slightly frustrating, especially when I was in a hurry. When my son came home, I started transitioning him from the bottle to the breast and he didn&rsquo;t have any aversions or reactions to this cream. I&rsquo;ve had a few dry patches of skin on my face and actually used this cream on it. It healed my chapped skin and actually made it really soft. I received this lanolin cream from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. The first time I used the cream, I was a little turned off by the texture. It&rsquo;s very sticky and a little bit, unfortunately, does not go a long way. The texture is my only complaint about this cream. What I do love are the natural ingredients. I developed mastitis while breastfeeding and felt comfortable using this cream very regularly while healing. I also love that you don&rsquo;t need to wash off this product before breastfeeding. It&rsquo;s safe for you and baby. It&rsquo;s also very versatile. The product states you can use the cream on your hands, cuticles and other dry areas. This is very true! I used the cream to help with my dry knuckles during the winter and I do think it helped!
