I guided my 11 year old to make a different purchase instead of an exchange knowing the defect in the gun was bond to break again. My son took his time looking at all the guns. I told him he could buy a gun in a higher price range then the original. He used his Christmas money to make up the difference. He chose the Hyperfire. What a great purchase. This gun is far superior then others. It rapid fires and can fit many different size clips making it a better buy then the very bulking and annoying to load Mastodon. Never left a post like this about a toy. But those mothers who know how annoying it can be to load your kids nerf will understand then benefits of theach Hyperfire.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Its a really good nerf blaster but it doesn't fire as fast as it says on the box which I don't like. I think the reason it says it should fire faster is that instead of having a pusher mechanism to fire the darts it has a small conveyor belt. I also think it is more accurate because the fly wheels inside of it are slightly at an angle which makes the dart spin. Another thing that I do not like is that it is very loud when it revs. The jam door is good because it doesn't just slide backward or flip open when you tilt it upside down because it has a lock on the jam door. This is really handy. It has a really nice feeling cheek rest on the stock and it also has ridges on the grip at the front. It has 3 sling points but it could be 4 if you count the sight at the front. Overall, this is one of my best Nerf blasters.</span>

Including batteries the gun is a little heavy to run around with and to use extensively when compared to non-battery operated guns. The trigger is definitely easy to squeeze for a 5 year old and a 3 year old can carry it if they tried. But if they drop it, you'll hear it.

You cannot attach a stock and there is no lug on the barrel for attachments. You could attach a sight.
