We absolutely love these straps. Super easy to install and use. I have a four year old and 14 month old. Both kids were able to destroy all the other straps but not these. My 4 year old knows how to put these together but doesn't quite have the pincher grip to undo them yet, which is great for keeping him safe. My 14 month tries pulling on them but the adhesive doesn't bust like the other brands I tried. When our fridge one came undone after 3 years of use, my husband just replaced the adhesive and it has lasted another year. They also don't leave any damage when removing them, as we used them in an apartment. Just make sure to clean and fully dry your surface before applying the adhesive. I really like that the static side had a hinge so that the lock didn't have to stick out when not in use. The only teeny tiny design detail I didn't love is that because of the side of the door I had to put the lock on, the Safety 1st logo was upside down. I have a 3.5 year old and a 1 year old so baby proofing is essential in our home! This lock was very easy to install (maybe 15 seconds!) The decoy button in the design is amazing. Not only will it fool your toddler but will also fool many adults! The design confused me a bit and at first I thought it had to be used on a corner door (which is why I installed it on our wine fridge), but now that I've installed it, I see that I could have used it on a flat surface as well. The look is a little clunky so I wouldn't want to line every cabinet in my kitchen with them, but definitely good for a select cabinet or two. Overall I am happy with the lock. The newest obsession in our house are toilets- opening, closing, and putting anything and everything in the toilet water. This Outsmart Multi-Use Lock that I received in the Stellar Product Testing Panel was the perfect solution to keep little hands and unwanted items out of the toilet. It was extremely easy to install. I cleaned the area on the side of the bowl and the lid with a multipurpose cleaner, let it dry, then placed the lock on the side of the toilet, after ensuring the lid could not open more than 1 inch. The decoy button has tricked my children multiple times. They can push the button as many times as they want and nothing happens. I really like this feature. When it is time to open the toilet, it's very easy to squeeze the functional buttons and pivot the lock out of the way. The material also is easy to clean and sanitize. Once it was installed, our toddler showed interest in the new addition to the drawer and tried pushing the decoy button and pulling the strap that keeps it closed. The lock remained secure and the button provided some entertainment for her before she lost interest and moved on to exploring other areas of the house. The design is functional and straightforward but will remain on the outside of drawers or cabinets and cannot be hidden. While some people may not like a child lock being visible on cabinets, it does make for easy access when adults need to get into the locked space compared with products that are concealed inside cabinets. The Outsmart button is truly innovative. It's made to look as though the button is what opens the lock, when in reality it's not. That decoy is what separates this lock from all the other locks out there. No matter how many times that button is pressed, that lock is not opening. With a crawling baby in the home, I can rest assured knowing he will not be getting into the oven while the Safety 1st Outsmart Multi-Use Lock is in place. I definitely plan on purchasing more of these locks and other products of the outsmart line to install around my home. My little one is starting to be on the move so I knew I had to act fast with the proofing!My first impression of this lock is that I liked the modern look of it. It wasn't cheap-looking like the old school baby locks. It seemed like something that would look nice on our furniture. Even though installation is super easy, I will say that it is a little scary to figure out where you want to install it. You really only have one shot to get it right. It's attached using stickers so you can't move it once you stick it to the surface you choose. I did flub this a little and didn't give the &quot;1-inch&quot; space like it says in the directions, that's my bad. However, it will still work as intended just will have a little more slack. The sticker is VERY strong so I feel pretty certain it's not going anywhere until I have to pry it off. I think the decoy button is really cool since my toddler loves buttons! This lock solved every.single.problem. The instructions were easy to read and within a minute of opening the box and reading the directions, I finally had a child proof drawer and easier state of kind knowing I would have to keep putting away random art supplies or telling my daughter no when she approached the drawer. The lock removes so easily that my five year old can get to her supplies when she wants to and my toddler can stay out! That means less times mama has to help and my oldest can keep being dependent and my little can stay safe. My toddler doesn't even get frustrated that she can't open it. She would poke at the decoy button but once she realized it wasn't budging she moved on and that area isn't as much of a hot spot for her as it has been. The newest obsession in our house are toilets- opening, closing, and putting anything and everything in the toilet water. This Outsmart Multi-Use Lock that I received in the Stellar Product Testing Panel was the perfect solution to keep little hands and unwanted items out of the toilet. It was extremely easy to install. I cleaned the area on the side of the bowl and the lid with a multipurpose cleaner, let it dry, then placed the lock on the side of the toilet, after ensuring the lid could not open more than 1 inch. The decoy button has tricked my children multiple times. They can push the button as many times as they want and nothing happens. I really like this feature. When it is time to open the toilet, it's very easy to squeeze the functional buttons and pivot the lock out of the way. The material also is easy to clean and sanitize. To remove, we recommend using floss or thread to separate the adhesive from the surface.
