<span itemprop="description">I got this monitor for my baby shower and had problems with it from the beginning. We struggled with the setup and wifi settings, which were advertised as very easy to use. Once we got the monitor up and running, it would often cut out from the wifi and close out the app during the night so we were not able to hear our baby cry. There is always a lag in the app when you open it, so I have to close out the app and re-open it if I want a current image. This lag caused us to think there was a man in our son's room one night (it was my husband, but from 4 hours before). I tried to return the monitor, but since we got it from our baby shower, we could not return due to the very specific requirements by Owlet. Overall, I would not ever buy products from this company again. Waste of money.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I have two owlet cameras that I really enjoyed. However, I wish I would have read all the reviews on the internet regarding how these cameras are common to being hacked. After our little girl informed us that someone started talking to her, and she came running to my wife, it caused me to start researching. That is when I found numerous complaints that owlet can be hacked because of its lack of quality encryption or two way factor. Parents please do your research before to ensure your house, and babies are safe from creeps!</span>

It doesn’t have good notification settings. It constantly unpairs from my WiFi and I have to reset it after I realize it isn’t working and my son is already asleep. I hate that it only takes little snippets of video if it decides there’s something worthy of capturing.
It thinks the jingling of my son’s toy is crying. It’s just not good…</span>

<span itemprop="description">This camera is pretty great. The design is sleek the cord is extra long so it can go places. The base of it is super magnetic so I have quite literally placed it on the top of my metal end table rather than messing with the provided wall mount. There are a bunch of features such as receiving notifs (movement/noise/temp & may adjust the sensitivity notifs), capability of zoom, switches to landscape mode, and the standard night cam. OH I would also like to point out the nifty audio feature named Background, where you can leave the audio on but lock your phone- let's say if you need to conserve your phone battery or what have you. Overall as just a simple camera it's neat. I will say there is a few second delay, but for the price, I wouldn't say that's the worst thing in the world.</span>

I had my Wi-Fi speed checked just in case it was my end, but everything is more than adequate. I will pick up my baby, take to living room to feed and the camera will still show me in the nursery picking her up. I will have to look at other brands.</span>

It randomly loses connection even though it has a full wi-fi signal. Then it will never reconnect unless you unplug it and plug it back in, which is not something you can do in the middle of the night. <span itemprop="description">Since day one it was a battle to even hook up the camera or the dream sock to our wi-fi. Eventually after atleast 4 hours of trying (not in one sitting) they magically connected. Now the reason I'm writing the review, the camera just died I tried a different cord and the red light turns on but it turns off before the app can connect. The app freezes and the camera would randomly stop working. The only reason it's a 1 star is because it won't let me put no stars. Also it won't let you use a nickname that is already being used when you post your 1 star review.</span>

Has nothing to do with our internet as everything else that’s connected to it works just fine. Doesn’t matter if we close the app, reopen it, sign out of the app and log back in. Somedays it works and other days it doesn’t and it’s the most frustrating thing to wake up in the middle of the night and try to check on the baby and the camera says “offline”! Don’t waste your money, this camera sucks!</span>

The camera is ok quality wise but the sound just cuts out all the time and then I realise I can't hear baby notifications are too sensitive and pick up any noise even when adjusted. If someone calls you can't hear bubs definitely recommend getting an actual monitor. Also noticed a lot of feedback here say ppl have issues with customer service hotline and customer service have just replied call the hotline. Umm hello why would you? Hugely disappointed mum.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I don’t understand all the bad reviews here, this camera is literally the best out there. Easy to set up, can view from anywhere with just your phone or tablet, clear videos, night vision, can talk back, etc… I have two different ones one with the socks and one without and I love them both.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I’ve had this thing for 2 years based on the fact that I can’t afford to buy a different one. I’ve had buyers remorse for those two years. It has a clear picture when it works but it runs on wifi so that means it will NEVER be as reliable as you need it to be. It doesn’t matter how great your wifi is either, a lot of the time it just chooses not to work.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Seriously the worst thing I’ve ever bought. It fails to work every day. You open the open, it works for a second, then stops. You try again, fails. Keep trying opening closing the app for 5-10 minutes and you may or may not be able to get the thing to work. Also, no way this thing is 1080p quality. What a joke. We should seriously file a class action lawsuit this camera is so bad. I feel lied to and misled.</span>
