Sockan har jag haft lite problem att få att sitta kvar på foten. Då vår son sover bredvid oss så lade jag märke till att kameran ger ifrån sig ett starkt blått sken på nätterna och det finns inget sätt att via appen stänga av kameran (eller via kameran för den delen) utan enda sättet är att dra ut kabeln. Önskar också att med det priset att man kunnat få med en enhet som man kan kolla barnet på utan att behöva gå in i appen för koll.</span>

After we purchased this product, I have been sleeping so well. I have not been worried anymore and I totally recommend this product if you are anxious. The alarm did go off a couple times, but we knew it was nothing because we were using the sock during feeding and burping.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I have had the Owlet for two months. I love the sock but the camera is horrible. I have tried to return it but it is past the 30 day window and I am purchasing another camera.
In the two months I have had it, the camera has disconnected at least 5 times (that I know of). I will wake up and the screen will just be black and I have no idea how long it hasn’t been working. I have been up at 2am with my newborn daughter trying to mess with the camera to get it to work.
I would not recommend the camera and just buy the sock.</span>

Two things I would recommend to Owlet.
Support 5Ghz radio. Splitting SSIDs to pair is not an issue we should have when pairing.
Come out with a web gui or Mac OS and Windows app to view monitor and notifications from Mac OS or Windows environment. Allow us to free up our phone for other tasks.</span>

They are already a lot to handle and with the sock and camera, my wife and I were at least able to sleep at night knowing that they are being watched and we have nothing to fear. The twins were born premature so the small sock is a little big for their little feet however it didn’t stop it from sending the data to the phone. Highly recommended for some piece of mind.</span>

<span itemprop="description">We purchased the smart sock 3 and camera duo after our baby was born 5 weeks early. Our baby spent several weeks in the NICU where his oxygen and heart rate were constantly monitored. The monitoring of these vital signs was important to the early recognition of potential problems and changes needed for his care. We knew that we wanted to be able to monitor these vital signs after he was discharged and came home with us. So far the system has worked flawlessly. The sock appears comfortable for our baby and it is easy to put on, take off, and charge. The app is very user-friendly and provides immediate alerts when something is wrong. We especially like that the base station also provides alerts, so there is no gap in notification if your phone battery dies or you leave your phone in another room. This was an excellent purchase, I would do it again in a heartbeat.</span>

Our wifi connection in general has never been an issue however with the owlet it is consistently an issue to the point it is unusable. For awhile we had to unplug and plug back in the camera in order for it to send through the app. Now that doesn’t even work. Owlet’s response was that there is a software update coming...... we’ve had the device for 6 months now!! This is ridiculous. At this price the lowest expectation is that it works. Owlet can’t even do that.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Love the camera, very clear 1080 view and nice notifications on your phone. The monitor puts you at ease knowing your child is safe and sound. The app can sometimes be a little buggy when toggling between the camera and other items (sometimes have to reset the app) but overall it's a great value having both of these and the data they provide</span>

<span itemprop="description">I tried so hard to like this product and make it work well, but we have come to an end of use without option. My wife and I were excited about this product and the ability to easily monitor our daughter from our tablet and phones with audio and video. However, from day one we had issues going back over a year ago. Problem #1: Wi-Fi stability. We had a 400mb Fiber data connection to a wireless N router broadcasting in both 2.4ghz and 5.0ghz. The Owlet severely struggled to stay connected to the 2.4ghz network (recommended) which made it impossible to rely on. Our 1st resolve was to buy a 2nd router and broadcast only 2.4ghz and pair only the Owlet with this router in the house to create a reliable connection. This was a pain but fixed issue #1. Problem #2: The smart sock kept setting off various alarms. I communicated with the tech support numerous times about the issue and worked on properly fitting the sock, resetting the device etc. Eventually Owlet tech support said they thought it was a faulty sock and mailed a new one to me free of charge. This did not fix problem #2 so I gave up on the prospect to use the sock as my daughter got older. Problem #3: Temperature sensor, as the winter months approached, I started to notice that the reported temperature from the Owlet would sometimes be off by up to 12 degrees. To confirm, I placed 3 separate thermometers in the nursery to compare with. A classic mercury thermometer and two tabletop household digital sensors. My 3 comparison sensors all measured within 0.5-1 degree differences while the Owlet remained as an outlier regularly over 12 degrees off. I left my experimental collection of thermometers in the nursery for about a month. Meanwhile, I moved the Owlet wire with the built-in sensor to multiple locations around the room. I tried interior walls, exterior, near the floor, near the ceiling, middle of the room. No success…Again I reached out to Owlet tech support and they happily mailed me a new wire and sensor stating this would fix the issue, it did not. Problem #3 was left unresolved, and I accepted that I would need to check the temperature in my daughters’ room with an alternate sensor. Problem #4: April 27, 2021 Owlet releases a new iOS version of the App requiring iOS 13 or later to run. I have been using an iPad Mini 2 which can only run up to iOS 12.5.1. I am now unable to use Owlet on our iPad which was our primary device for monitoring and a tool that our childcare provider used throughout the day. I contacted Owlet asking if there would/could be plans to release a Legacy App in tandem with the latest version as a goodwill measure that many large organizations follow in the AppStore for extended periods of time. Cisco, AVAYA, Citrix, etc. have followed this approach, it is not uncommon. Owlet tech support explained to me that this was not technically possible. I explained to the agent (as someone who works in software development) that it is possible. We could not come to an agreement. I then suggested that maybe Owlet could consider releasing a web browser version of the platform to help with older device users or those off times that users might want to check in on their child from a desktop computer. I was also told by tech support at Owlet that this was not technically possible. Our conversation ended with the agent telling me I should buy a new iPad. Problem #4 not solved. As stated at the beginning of this review, I tried so hard to like this product and make it work. Unfortunately, the Owlet product is just not reliable on multiple counts, overpriced, and has a short shelf life. My recommendation to those shopping would be to consider other products such as Arlo Baby. While Arlo lacks the smart sock, it checks all the other boxes and is a more stable platform. Additionally, it provides a web browser viewer, App for iOS, Android, and support for smart home technology with Google Home and Alexa.</span>

<span itemprop="description">If I were to purchase again I would NOT get the sock/camera duo, I would only buy the sock.
The sock has provided huge peace of mind, especially in the transition to the nursery.. I love that you can see the sleep patterns through the night as well.
The camera portion of the duo has been a little disappointing however for reasons listed below:
Quality of the video is not good
Blue light on camera is too bright - actually casts shadows in the dark.
You need to have perfect wi-fi connection in order to view the camera.
Have to have the app ON at all times - when you go to a different app on your phone, you obviously lose the video and sound and have to reopen/reload every single time.
I have the app/sound open and on through the night to hear when baby is awake/distress and for some reason tonight it closed on it’s own at some point between 10pm-2am and I didn’t realize because I was sleeping,
I will be purchasing a separate monitoring system from the Owlet... I think they should have a separate piece of equipment (ie: handheld monitor) for the camera portion so you don’t have to rely on your phone/app.</span>

The monitor could use some improvements as the picture doesn’t load very quickly and the notifications are decently delayed - great HD quality though and love the temp feature!</span>
