The Oxo stool is made from hard but light plastic that is easy for my 2-year-old to carry by herself. The rubber surface covers the entire step, unlike most other stools that have rubber dots, and the rubber bottom is completely slip-proof on our hardwood and tile floors. The handles on the sides make this super portable, and the stool comes in a few kid-friendly colors. My daughter loves climbing on it and jumping off in the playroom, and we use it every night for brushing teeth and washing hands. My daughter is 20 months old, and although she can&rsquo;t quite reach the faucet yet, this helps me hold her up. And soon she will be able to use it herself. I also got it to use for potty training. It is very slim, and doesn&rsquo;t take up a lot of space in my small half bath (see photos). There are rubber pieces on the bottom to keep it from sliding on the floor too easily and rubber ridges on the top to help it from being too slippery for your little ones feet. I loved the clean look and especially loved the curves edges. Nothing sharp so there won&rsquo;t be any injuries! My 2 1/2 year old loves it because she can get up onto it herself. Our previous one was flimsy and not quite tall enough. This one is sturdy and the right height to get her on the toilet seat. She has loved being able to reach the sink in the bathroom a little better and get things just out of her reach. I like that it has a no slip base around the bottom so that it will not slide around while she is trying to step onto it. I have used it to get something out of a high up cabinet and it worked just fine for me too. I wasn't worried about my weight on the stool. I had purchased a cheap one that was green and white and was not enough tall. After receiving this one from OXO I can compare and can tell that this one has great features like: Neutral color ( matches our bathroom or our kitchen ) strong plastic that even an adult can use as a seat. Cute rubber pattern my son thinks is sprinkles and it&rsquo;s a fun time for potty train. Also it&rsquo;s taller than other brands which makes easier fo my not so tall 3 year old son to brush his teeth using our sink. Also it&rsquo;s lightweight and hasn&rsquo;t two handle inserts easy to grab and move around.
