Having only used one other manufacturer, I can honestly say these are so much better, combined with the Philips steamer, they are great. The teat is good quality and the bottles even though they are thin, they are very strong and well up for the job in hand. The first bottles I used gave me cramp in my hand but these are so nice to hold, they are also so light. The bottles are also so much easier to clean, the collar seems to be larger than normal which makes the brush go in so much easier. I got a chance to try the Philip Avent anti colic bottles thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel. I love that there are only three parts vs the 5 of my current brand. I also really liked that the nipple fits snugly to the top of the inside of the lid, this prevents leaking if the bottle tips over during transit. While I liked the bottles, my son would not drink from them. I'm not sure if he was already used to the standard size nipple vs the wide neck. I loved having the opportunity to try a different bottle. I have been using them for a few weeks and I really like them. The best feature is that they are anti-colic but there's only 3 pieces per bottle which cuts down a lot of time washing bottles. The wide neck bottle also makes cleaning them a breeze. My son took to the nipple of this bottle easily and it does not collapse during the feeding. I did think the nipple flow was a bit fast for him even though he is past the recommended 1 month+ age. He also did not spit up or fuss after the feedings so the airflex venting system features of this bottle seem to be working. I did not experience any leakage which is also a big plus. We had tried two other bottles labeled antigas or anticolic before these but they were so complicated and had so many parts. These bottles are simple in design, are a great size, and seem to reduce discomfort in my gassy baby. I also love that the cover actually prevents leaks and that there is no disc to put in under the bottle collar to prevent leaks. My only complaint is that the measurements are different than every other bottle I have. We used Philip Avent Natural bottles for my older child (also breastfed) and I prefer that nipple shape. I'll go through pros and cons as I see them: Pros: Size - nice 9oz capacity and yet shorter than even the wide neck Dr. Brown's bottles, so easier to fit in diaper bag. I would say a little more annoying to hold because there's no tapered middle section, but worth it for compact height. Color - for some reason I haven't seen many of these, so makes it easier to find her bottle among all the others at daycare Easy to put together - don't have to explain to grandparents or babysitters. Easy to clean - soooo much nicer than the Dr. Brown's multi-part system. Almost couldn't be easier - except the Playtex drop-ins are actually even easier and are awesome for that reason. The downside to the Playtex is having to repeatedly buy the inserts. Cons - baby seems to like these less. The nipple seems stiffer than other bottles. Maybe that's why, but I can't really read her mind. The shape of the bottle is nice and compact. It is easy to clean with a wide neck and streamline nipple. The nipple is a good shape that my son had no problem latching on to it. My son has been a super gassy baby since day one and these seem to help reduce gas when he drinks my breast milk from them. The size 2 nipples included allowed a good flow for him to drink without any over spill from the corners of his mouth. It would be nice if it had included multiple nipple sizes for growth and flexitibility. However, the fluid labeling is nice and clear so it's easy to track how much my son is eating at each meal. It's great having a bottle that works well for baby and gives mommy a break from feeding without having to worry about too many gas bubbles ending up in his tummy.
