I am very impressed with these bottles for multiple reasons. First of all my five month old, who for many reasons has been bottle fed since one month old, has had no problem switching over to a completely new bottle. They are very easy for a baby to drink out of, and she took to them very quickly. I also like that these bottles are nine ounces, instead of eight, making them a little bit larger than standard bottles. Another positive is that these bottles clean very easily in the dishwasher, with no residue left in hard to reach places after being washed. With this bottle she not only eats well, she gets upset if we don't let her hold it all on her own. We never experienced any leaks, or issues with this bottle like we do with our other non-colic bottles. I just wished we had known about this bottle sooner. It saves on so much space since there aren't multiple parts to make it work. Cleaning is a breeze too, with the wide mouth opening. I received this bottle as a gift from the weeSpring Parent Panel, and I couldn't be happier with it. My son doesn't have colic, but he DOES have reflux, so we've been using another brand with a thousand different parts to it since he was born. We saw no difference in him with using this bottle. Now, let me put that in context. This bottle is easy to clean, has only the standard ring, bottle, and nipple as parts, and we didn't see a single change in how his reflux is. This IS AMAZING. I love the hand feel of this bottle, it's easier to hold than our others, and our little guy seemed to respond to the nipple even better than his standard. There are no collapsing problems here. I liked the single bottle we received so much, I've already ordered an entire set, of my own volition and out of my own pocket. My, mostly breastfed, 5-month-old took this bottle very comfortably. I love that the Avent Anti-colic bottle is wide neck, making it easy to clean and easy to transfer milk. Also, I loved that the compact bottle design held a lot of milk and made it easy to transport, with momma's milk, in a small cooler. Not to mention, it's three piece design makes cleaning and assembly quick and easy! My husband also liked this bottle! My picky twin too right to this bottle, I was so surprised! There are only 3 parts to clean unlike some other complicated anti-colic bottles. I haven't noticed a difference in how much gas they have with this bottle, but it has slightly reduced how much they spit up. Also, the measurements on the side of the bottle are easy to see and very accurate. I like that it has a wide mouth opening that makes it easier to transfer warmed milk from the freezer storage bags without spills. She typically takes a long time when eating from a bottle. I've also been a huge fan of Avent and used the Natural series for my first child. That being said, the nipple design with this anti-colic bottle didn't work for us. She drank the milk at the same rate, but if she had a mouth full of milk and compressed around the nipple as she would the breast, she'd spit milk out. My husband also found that she dribbled as much as an ounce of liquid gold out soaking her clothes. As for the anti-colic features, she didn't burp any less than with our current go-to bottles or while nursing. My husband requested that we not use this bottle any longer, and he usually just uses what I tell him!! It is very easy to clean, as all Phillips bottles are. However, I don't think I would use this size nipple for a 1 month old. In fact, with my first I used the slowest flow (size 1) nipple until he stopped taking bottles at 16 months. Not sure there is any benefit to using faster flows. I didnt love the width of these bottles. Most other bottles I've used are thinner, thereby allowing babies to hold them easier. Also, other bottles i've used that are thinner were compatible with my pump parts (so i could pump directly into the bottle), these would not work for that purpose. I can't speak to the anti-colic claim, as my daughter hasn't had that problem. When we started her at daycare, I gave her teachers basically every single bottle for her to try (all brands) but the only one she would reluctantly eat from was another brand of bottles. So when I received this bottle as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel, I was very leery about her liking it. To my surprise (and to her daycare teachers) she latched on immediately! (It usually takes her a couple minutes to latch on to the other brand bottles, so this was awesome!) Just to be sure it wasn't just because she was hungry that feeding, we tried this bottle every day at different times, and every time she drank from this bottle it was an immediate latch and there was no pushing the bottle away. I was reading on the product description that it is the valve on the this bottle that &quot;flexes to your baby's feeding rhythm&quot; so I definitely think that is accurate. I also have to say that my daughter spits up EVERY time she eats, but the teachers told me that she does not spit up after feeding her from this bottle! (So that is a HUGE win!) At the moment my daughter only eats 4 oz at a time so the bottle is a little big for her, but it's perfect for once she starts eating more milk at one time. I highly recommend trying out this bottle if your child is like mine and is super picky with bottles/nipples. I don't notice any more gas or discomfort than on days he only breastfeeds. What I love even more about it is the wide mouth and shape, making it easy to fill and hold. I also really like the fact that there are only three easy parts to put together and wash. Who has time for washing lots of little parts? Not me! Also, I've not had any issues with leaking. However, the bottle was easy to clean, and every baby is different, so it's possible that it could work for your baby. Full disclosure, my second child has yet to make an appearance, so I am reviewing these bottles without using them with a baby. I will update the review when she finally shows up! First of all, I love the simplicity of these bottles. Unlike the majority of anti-colic bottles, there are no small vents or extra pieces to clean. Having used two competitors anti-colic bottles in the past, I know how difficult it can be to a) keep all the pieces together and b) to really feel like you got all the little holes and vents cleans. The nipples are clearly and visibly marked with the size, which I also think is great. No more holding the nipple to the light to try to determine if it is a size one or size two hole. Also, the fluid levels are clearly marked in contrasting colors to the bottle. I will have to see how much those fade on repeated washing. The nipples have a ribbed texture to prevent nipple collapse, but I will have to try that when the baby finally gets here! My 6 week old has really bad colic and reflux and will spit up so much I am changing her at least 4 times (or more) a day. As we tried this bottle out, the spit up has been reduced and she took to the nipple just fine. Unfortunately the fussiness of her colic at night hasn't improved. She latched right on and didn't stop until it was all gone. We did use the &quot;2&quot; nipple which is designed for 1+ month however it seemed to be the perfect speed for our 5 mo. It is the perfect size for her to hold while she eats and she did not even have to burp afterwards. Another great thing about this bottle is the ease of cleaning, as it only has three parts and none of them require those tiny little brushes to get into which is a major plus!
