I haven&rsquo;t seen another bottle like his before, the nipple stays full of milk while the baby is drinking. I use the faster flow nipple because my baby likes to eat at a faster pace but if your Baby eats slower they have different flow nipples that can easily be changed out. I have noticed a reduction in the amount of gas my baby passes as well, that I would attribute to less air being swollowed due to the unique always full of milk nipple feature. It&rsquo;s also easy to clean and sanitize. This was not the case it was very easy to clean and easy to put together. I did appreciate receiving the correct nipple for his stage and it&rsquo;s hreat they offer a variety of flow rates! My only concern was since my baby now holds his own bottle it was hard to make sure that piece inside was facing the top at all times. Our little girl (9 months old) has generally been pretty picky about taking a bottle, having not really been introduced to one introduced until six months, and even then, sparingly. With that in mind, it's not immensely surprising that she didn't take to this one terribly well either, however she did develop an enthusiasm for chewing the teat, and also took it as a self-guided exercise in bottle holding. That was a little bit of an issue, since at she didn't understand the need for the air insert to be facing up when she inverted the bottle, and as a result managed to pretty consistently tip the bottle contents on herself when she did invert it. While there are bottles she will take and sip at periodically, with this one she was more content to chew on for most part, only putting the very end of the nipple in her lips to drink every now and then. While it's only an assumption, I suspect it's due to the nipple being narrow and elongated, rather than those which are more rounded and breast-like; which she is more prone to taking. At face value, I liked the product concept, and there are definitely elements which make a great deal of sense; even if our nine month old didn't appreciate them. The tapered bottle made it easy to hold, both for us in feeding, and for the baby when she wanted to be in charge. The air-flow system seems to do exactly what you'd hope, however I'd say is really only practical for parent-guided feeding... once they're old enough to hold it themselves, you're best served to remove it, and let them swallow a bit of air. It was great to have a selection of nipples to choose from, although it would be nice if there was some more distinct variance in shape available... again, it may be phooey, but I do think our little one takes better to a shorter, more curved teat. Overall it's a nice bottle but just doesn't work for my baby girl. They are designed so that even if the bottle is not held completely upright the nipple still stays full of milk/formula so the baby does not ingest unnecessary air that can happen with other bottles when they get tipped. The vent system that allows this feature isn't too hard to clean as it is all one piece so clean up isn't too bad involving a large number of extra bottle parts, which I really appreciate. The size/shape of the nipple is a little large for my babies liking but she is extremely picky when it comes to bottles that she accepts. After some coaxing she does accept the nipple and is able to get a good latch on it. The bottle itself is a nice size and shape and easy to hold as well. I definitely noticed less burps/gas after my baby drinks from these bottles compared to other brands so the vent keeping the air out of the nipple must be working. The best part about the bottle is that it is easy to clean and the extra vent is only one extra piece to clean but provides an amazing benefit. Overall I really enjoy this bottle and will look into purchasing more. I had to buy new bottles with my second baby and didn&rsquo;t like all the parts that other brand anti colic bottles consisted of. But this bottle was only one additional piece (that was really easy to rinse and keep clean) and worked just as well as the original Phillips Avent bottle. I received this bottle just as we were transitioning the 6 month old to a faster flowing nipple and it was nice to have options to switch between a slower and a faster flow depending on her need and mood. The baby seemed to have less gas and didn&rsquo;t spit up as much after her bottles when we used the anti-colic bottle to feed her. Our baby was never collicky, but did spit up A LOT, so any relief from that was incredibly beneficial. But, I will say I was slightly confused on the orientation of the bottle and how to hold it in order to make it most effective. My husband figured that one out and it wasn&rsquo;t a tough adjustment. In short, if I had to recommend a bottle, this would be it. She noticed my LO slightly less gassy with the attachment. Both of my boys had colic as well as dairy allergies (and my second son has soy allergies also). I still breast feed but my supply has reduced and his appetite has increased. We started giving him bottles of my stashed supply at night in order for him to fill him up before he fell asleep and I could pump at night to make up for it. He refused a lot of bottles in the past and only one had worked enough to satisfy his belly. Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for sending me this Philips Avent Anti-colic baby bottle and fast flow nipples, I found the second bottle my son will take. He started out only accepting nipple that had a large &quot;areola&quot; area (haha not sure how else to describe it) so I was a little adverse to trying this type of nipple again. The fast flow nipple is a little fast (go figure) for him but it still provides colic relief (I know, I would have never guessed it. Just needs a good burp and hes out for the count at night). The good thing is that I have another flow level I can use to see what his preferences are. I gave these nipples 5 stars because I believe they are well constructed and definitely as described, fast flow. So pros would be 1) the anti-colic properties of the bottle and ridges on inside of nipple 2) another level of flow (because we all know every baby is different) 3) feels like a good, quality nipple 4) there are 4 in this pack (extra is always nice in a pinch) I can only think of one con and that would be that it is not as &quot;breast-like&quot; as other brands but, again, every baby is different. All opinions stated in this review are my own. I received the Philips Avent Anti-colic baby bottle with a 4 pack of Fast Flow nipples to try. When I opened the package I noticed how generously sized this bottle was and how clear the ounce markings are on the outside. As with other brands, Philips Avent offers nipples with different flow rates which is nice since babies tend to want a faster flow as they grow and start taking in more milk during feedings. We&rsquo;ve been using fast flow nipples for a few months now so my baby took to these nipples quite easily. There was a moment of frustration during his feeding when he somehow managed to collapse the nipple on this bottle, but once we got it popped back out he seemed happy and finished up his meal. We&rsquo;re used to using anti-colic bottles so I didn&rsquo;t notice any extra gas or discomfort when we used this bottle instead of our regular bottles during feedings. Based on this, I&rsquo;d say the anti-colic feature in the bottle worked pretty well! I also found the insert easy to clean using my regular bottle brushes. For moms that are pumping breastmilk, I thought it was worth mentioning that the opening of these bottles is compatible with the flanges of some breast pumps! I wish I had these bottles months ago! Having the ability to pump into the bottles my baby drinks from is pretty awesome, and cuts down on the amount of dishes to wash at the end of the day. The nipples are somewhat flat at the top rather than a more rounded shape like some other bottles. They are well designed for the most part, easy to take apart, and easy to clean. The fast flow was very fast in my opinion. My son is a fast eater, but he still had a hard time keeping up with these and formula would spoil out of his mouth and down his chin. I did not notice any increase or change in colic or gas symptoms despite the very fast flow. I think it is definitely helpful to be able to change out the bottle nipples for different flow rates based on what your baby needs. I think that the fast flow nipples could definitely be useful for babies who require thickened formula. This product helped my son with colic issues we were dealing with before. After trying it out, I noticed he wasn't waking up crying in discomfort because of backed up gas in the middle of the night. My son has become less fussy and isn't crying randomly. You do have to make sure you assemble everything in the bottle well to make sure you don't have any spillage as with any baby bottles. I also like the nipple flow rate because it allows more milk through. The slow flow nipple that came with the bottle was much too slow, but the size 4 nipples are fine. He's never had problems with colic or gas, so I can't say if the special piece that is supposed to reduce air intake is helpful, but it is a simple piece that's easy to assemble and clean, so it doesn't hurt to try if your baby might benefit. Avent bottles were the bottle of preference for my middle child, but this most recent baby has been harder to please. When we initially transitioned him from breast to bottle, it took us several tries to find something he could latch onto with ease. We ended up settling on a flatter shaped nipple, which matched his pacifier. I was initially nervous to re-introduce the Avent but once he got the hang of things the fast flow nipples and anticolic technology made feeding him a breeze. I will say switching from a flatter nipple to this very rounded shape did take a couple tries. One thing I particularly like about this bottle is that unlike other anticolic designs which include a straw-like piece, these bottles have something that&rsquo;s more like a spoon head and much easier to clean. When you have an exclusively bottle-fed baby like we do, easy cleaning is very important and a huge time saver. I also appreciate the straightforward and gender-neutral use of clear and green for this bottle, which will make it easy to pass on or hand down in the future! Overall, I would highly recommend this bottle as one of the best, and having a variety of nipples in four different speeds makes it super easy to grow with your baby. In fact I&rsquo;ve found that whenever my baby is fussy feeding, it&rsquo;s usually time for me to go up to the next speed.
