I am familiar with this brand and have used Phillips Avent anti-colic bottles and nipples with my daughter before. My daughter has used #1 and #2 nipples before and the ones I received/have used recently were medium flow (#3). I am a fan of these nipples. It was great that I already had the bottles and pieces needed to use these new nipples. I just switched out the slower flow ones for these new medium flow. As a mom, it&rsquo;s very convenient to have a variety of flow choices to choose from. As my daughter is getting older, she can handle a heavier flow, so moving to this medium flow (#3) was a pretty easy transition for her. The style of nipple was completely familiar to her which was great. This nipple is clear and easy to clean. I like being able to see if there is any milk residue that still needs cleaning. It&rsquo;s also a durable nipple. It can withstand little teeth biting on it. Thankfully my daughter hasn&rsquo;t struggled with colic or gas so I can&rsquo;t speak to that for my child but I know that these anti-colic nipples (along with the bottles they go with) can help reduce colic and gas. I&rsquo;ll remember that as I have more children in the future. Thanks again to the weeSpring Parent Panel for giving me the opportunity to test this product. Knowing that we would be using daycare, we started giving him a bottle very young and he has taken to them like a champ! We have tried a variety of brands and sizes and he seems to accept them all very well. As part of the weeSpring Parent Panel, we were sent the size 3 philips AVENT anti-colic nipples. It's so nice to have extra nipples. Overall, these nipples are great. For our kiddo, they are best used during the day when he is alert and happy. He can finish a bottle VERY quickly with these, and move on to the next activity. However, the flow is much too fast at night. We give him his normal evening bottle and he zooms through it and cries for more. I would consider the flow more like a 4+ flow. My son can keep up, but the milk comes out very quickly. On the bright side, these are super easy to sterilize just like other Avent nipples. And he hasn't had any issues with gas or fussiness after using these. I wanted to exclusively breastfeed my son but he had a lip and tongue tie that prevented my milk from fully coming in and we quickly had to take a different course. I bought multiple different bottle and nipple styles because I wasn&rsquo;t sure which nipple he would take to best. He ended up being easy going and taking which ever nipple was presented to him, until his teeth started to come in! Thank goodness for the weeSpring Parent Panel who sent me the Philips Avent nipples to try and review. They came at just the right time. My son would not drink from any other nipple until we tried these! The Philips Avent nipple is sturdy and has never collapsed, like other nipples I&rsquo;ve tried. My son is 9 months old now and the medium flow nipple has been perfect for him. It seems to be an appropriate speed that does not have him gulping formula down too quickly or getting fussy because it is not coming out fast enough. My only complaint is when I tried to wash the nipples in the dishwasher, they came out looking hazy. This could have something to do with my dishwasher or soap, but I didn&rsquo;t like how dingy they looked and have stopped running them through the dishwasher. Philips Avent nipples assemble extremely easily and have a lip that almost pops into place. Giving you the assurance that it is set into place properly and over the past month that I&rsquo;ve been using them, I&rsquo;ve not once had any issues with a leaking. Having tried multiple different bottles and nipples, I would highly recommend the Philips Avent to any parent. Our little one had dealt with acid reflux since birth and to help with it and a low supply for breastmilk we supplemented with some formula. The formula we used was a little thicker to help with spitting up which seemed to clog the initial slow flow nipples we had. These medium flow ones did just the trick. Although our baby immediately took to them, we did not notice a significant difference in his gas levels. They were not increased though and he seemed comfortable after feedings. The flow worked well for him and his night time bottles took significantly less time without an increase in spitting up. We like having the option of a variety of nipples, although I don&rsquo;t think it&rsquo;s fully necessary. We would definitely purchase these for use. However, once we switched the nipples, she seemed to take these bottles much better! I was always told not to change the nipple out if I was breastfeeding, but clearly that is not the case for every child! I definitely think it's important to have a variety of nipple choices available because one flow may not be right for all babies. My daughter clearly likes a little faster of a flow via the medium flows vs the slow flow. She does not seem to be as gassy with these either. We've switched back to the Avent bottles since receiving these medium flow nipples and everyone is a happy camper! I would recommend to try these even if you are still breastfeeding and feel like your baby is getting fussy from the slow flow ones. The shape of the nipples are nice for breastfed babies, I feel it has a similar shape to a real nipple and they are not too big. My son is mostly breastfed and we had only used bottles when I pumped and he seemed to have no problem with the shape of these. The medium flow was a little fast for him at first and some of the milk came out of the sides of his mouth. But after using a few times, it didn't happen as much. It was probably just because of his age and size. They are easy to clean and seem strong and durable. I would recommend these nipples for babies 6 month and older. That said, we have always loved Avent products and have used them with all of our children. The nipples seem to be the ones our kids take to the easiest, and the quality is very good. Flow is good, shape is good. I used them with permission with a friend caring for her newborn. We really liked these nipples as they encouraged her baby to latch more easily. The baby is breastfed most of the time, however, pumped milk for caregivers is used in bottles. When used with the Avent classic bottles, they really helped the baby be comfortable with a bottle when mama wasn't there. She had fewer spit-up episodes than with other bottles and nipples as well. The nipples hold up well and are easy to clean. My son took to them very easily and has no problem drinking from them. These nipples are fairly easy to clean. The base of then nipple is much wider than others because Avent bottles are wider, so it's easier to grasp the nipples while you're scrubbing them inside and out. These are a great size/shape for us, we have used much skinnier and then really wide nipples (the kind that are supposed to more closely simulate a breast) these are in the middle and proved to be a great size for my son. He doesn't stay latched very long usually (on a bottle or breast) but he did much better with these than our usual bottles. Easy to use and clean</span> <span itemprop="description">My first born was tongue tied and was not able to latch on for breast feeding. Once corrected, we began using the Avent system and he took to the nipples right away with no problems. He used them up until he was a year old. I now use this system with my 7 month old who also has taken to it extremely well since birth. We have been using the size 3m (medium flow) nipple since she was about 4 months old. She downs the bottles without having to suck too hard. These nipples seem a little wider than most other brands which seems to make it easier to clean with a bottle brush. After hand washing, I throw them in the dishwasher for sterilization and they have held up very well, with no melting or discolorations.
