Especially since I'm a new mother who relies solely on pumping to provide my daughter with some breast milk since she's having a hard time drinking directly from my breasts. I purchases this product before being discharged from the hospital with hopes of being able to feed my daughter. Despite double checking that all the parts are put together correctly and the seals look good, I often receive very little milk from pumping compared to expressing manually. More often than not, I won't get any milk from one of my breasts even after repositioning the pump or massaging my breasts. For a product that is so expensive and meant to save time, it's a huge disappointment. I instead really on what manually express and baby formula. Also one of the bottles used to collect milk frequently will on twist and I've often lost the milk I've worked so hard to collect or it will untwist while feeding my daughter and fall on her. I don't recommend this product to anyone. When I use it I have a red ring around my areola one cm away from my nipple. My flange size is 18 mm. This means the pump is adapting between 23-31mm nipple (very rare that woman have this wide of a nipple) If you have 17-23mm nipples the flange will be too big. It also does doesn&rsquo;t milk the nipple as it shows in their video. The double pump was efficient, quiet and portable so I could carry on with whatever I was doing. The battery life was good, enough for what I needed to do. The biggest plus is that I could have my my hands free to cook, tidy up or tend to the baby! It's a bit of a pain having to wash all of the bits and pieces, more so than my handheld pump but the tradeoff in terms of having my handsfree is worth it. The bag is large and roomy, you can easily put extra baby items, such as diapers and wipes, in the bag when travelling. The bag is light and discrete, but could be updated to be a little more trendy in the future&sbquo; maybe a black leather-type look? The pump itself is sleek, small in size and easy to use. I was able to pump 7oz within 20 minutes of using this pump (and that was after a feed), so it is clearly an effective pump. The first thing I did notice when removing the pump from the bag is that it contains A LOT of small pieces, which means A LOT of pieces to clean after use. I did love the silicone cushions, it made the pumping extremely comfortable and means you don't need to buy extra flanges to fit your size. This cushions adapt to you! This was my favourite feature of this product. There is also a plethora of settings, so finding a comfortable setting was easy. The only other downfall of this product were the bottles. Overall, I find it to be a well made product that has some very convenient features for a mom on the go. It is not as efficient as a hospital grade pump, however I would categorize the efficiency as moderate. The silicone cushions are well designed to fit snuggly and prevent any leakage while pumping. I also love how the cushions have lids so you can prevent spills if you need to take a break during pumping. The best feature of this pump is how portable it is. It is lightweight and fits in your hand or pocket so that you can do things while you pump (just add the nursing bra). It's size also makes it really convenient to throw in my diaper bag. The motor on the machine is much quieter than other pumps which I really appreciated. When pumping at work or on the go it's very discrete. Overall, I would recommend the Advent pump. I really like this pump. The actual pump it's self is super small and compact which is easy to just pack it up and not have to lug around a huge bag. The cord is actually very long too which is nice if you have awkardardly placed outlets in your house. It was really great to not have to worry about getting the correct flange size since this one molds to you and it really did feel like a baby sucking motion which was cool. I pumped the same amount of milk as I do with my other pump so it's very efficient and has good suction. I thought it was a nice touch that the pump came with two bottle nipples too, great way to test out the vote system too. I found all the different settings overwhelming as I usually only use the first setting on my other pump however I'm sure other would really appreciate being able to customize their pumping experience more. I gave this pump a 4 star because of all the parts you have to wash and the awkward shape of the part that connects the flange to the bottle - I found it annoying to wash. The carrying bag was nothing to special but I liked the cooler pack and the colour change from all the other black ones on the market.
