Our baby was bottle fed from week one, he is very accustom to bottles and does have a preference now that he is much older. These were the first secondary bottles he took compared to his normal bottle. The fast flow was really nice and the glass was really easy to hold. I was surprised how &quot;light&quot; they were for glass. They washed well in the dishwasher as well. They were easy to switch out nipples for different sizes and they did not drip even with the faster flow nipple. Although these weren't my babies #1 bottle, he still used them and didn't push it away immediately which hasn't happened before. I think had we had these from the get go he would have liked them more than his current set up. They are really nice bottles! Our plastic bottles we've been using for over a month have clouded from repeated boil cleaning/milk use and no longer &quot;look&quot; clean even though they are. We had the opportunity to test these out through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. These glass bottles are so easy to clean and only use 3 pieces, which are all easy to clean. The bottle too is wide-mouthed so you don't have to fight hard to clean it all through! The glass is pretty thick so its on the heavy side. Good news is that it won't break if you drop it (we've done that), but our 6 month old can't really hold it up. Our baby has been pretty selective with her bottle nipples but she took this one super fast. They were also plastic and I am not a fan of plastics if I can avoid them. I was so excited to receive these Philips Avent Natural Glass baby bottles. They were exactly what we needed. We had received a smaller plastic sample from a registry perk and found our little guy did very well with the Avent wide brim bottles. These glass versions, are a dream! Baby boy does great with them. They are rather heavy but he has never been one to try and hold the bottle as is, so it&rsquo;s not an issue for us. I love how easy they are to clean and assemble. We have taken road trips and had no issues with leaking and they have been very durable. We did need a faster nipple that&rsquo;s what was supplied, but that was an easy fix. We love these and will continue to use Avent Natural Glass bottles with future kiddos! The current bottle we are using is anti-colic and has a standard, narrow neck. I was still trying to get him to breastfeed so I was in the market for a wide-neck, anti-colic bottle when I was given the opportunity to test and review the Philips Avent Glass Natural Baby Bottle (wide-neck). The Avent Glass Natural Baby Bottle features are: Natural response nipple - baby drinks, swallows and breathes using their natural rhythm, just like at the breast No drip nipple design Natural latch due to wide breast shaped nipple Soft nipple designed to mimic the feel of the breast Flexible spiral and comfort petal design of the nipple, which make the nipple more flexible and prevent nipple collapse when baby is drinking Anti-colic valve Ergonomic-shaped bottle Simple to use and clean, quick and easy assembly Compatible with Philips Avent Natural range (mix and match with breast pump, bottle and cup parts) BPA-free I&rsquo;ve been using the bottles for several weeks with the size 2, 3, and 5 nipples. These are my pros and cons list: Pros: - The glass is really thick and durable, much more so than my current glass bottle - I like the wide-neck nipple because it&rsquo;s more like a breast than my current standard, narrow nipple bottle - Bottle doesn&rsquo;t leak from nipple ring. I have used a bottle that leaked everywhere because the design was terrible. - Only 3 pieces plus the cap so it&rsquo;s super easy to assemble. My current bottle has 5 pieces plus the cap. 
Cons: - Nipples do drip (I noticed that Size 2 and 5 do not drip, but Size 1 and 3 do drip. See pictures) - For the nipples that drip: after milk is heated, milk shoots out when you&rsquo;re trying to test the milk temperature on your wrist. I&rsquo;ve tried opening the bottle after heating to release any pressure, but milk still shoots out. - Heavy bottle; may not be good for elderly grandparents or those with arthritis - The cap is hard to open, especially if I pre-poured milk in the bottle to store in the refrigerator For my baby, Level 2 nipple was too slow and Level 3 was way too fast So I really wanted to like the product, but it was more troublesome than my current bottle with the milk shooting out after heated and the nipple levels that weren&rsquo;t consistently no-drip. I couldn&rsquo;t find a level that worked for my baby since level 2 was too slow and level 3 was way too fast. I found the glass bottle to have the right amount of heft where it was comfortable in my hand and I didn't feel like it was going to slip out and crash into pieces. At the same time, the bottle capacity was three ounces larger than what we typically use so that did make it feel a little overkill; I'd like to try a smaller size. My seven month old took right to it, holding on to the bottle like normal. I found the nipple covered my baby's nose a little too much so that we had to find the right position for sucking and breathing without effort. I also noticed just one time that the bottle made a strange air sucking noise after it was emptied and placed on the counter by itself. I could not repeat this so I think that it was just some accumulated peanut protein that I had mixed in that one time. The bottle was very easy to wash in the dishwasher and by hand. The effort to twist open or closed the nipple holder top is minimal. This glass advent bottle definitely feels sturdier than others have tried. The walls are thicker as well. I particularly like the ease of assembling and disassembling for cleaning. We clean these bottles so many times per day that any parent in the same situation will appreciate how much easier these come apart compared to other brands. The baby had a zero transition period going from the other bottle to this bottle. Maybe what helps is the fact that her pacifiers are closer in shape to the Philips Advent nipples, or maybe she just likes the shape that much better than a standard nipple shape. I think both the quality of the bottle and the quality of the nipple are very high. I have not handled anything better yet and we have been through almost half a dozen brands and nipples so far in the 7 months we've had our baby. I did receive four of these bottles and two sets of nipples from the Stellar Product Testing Panel, free of charge, but that in no way has influenced my opinion of the product. These bottles are truly the best in the business from what I have seen so far. I am a firm believer that glass is always better than plastic, especially if you are heating up the bottle, and our baby has a liking for naturally shaped nipples more so than a standard shape nipple. My main reason for wanting to switch is to reduce plastics in my house and the health problems they&rsquo;re associated with. If you have not tried glass bottles yet, don&rsquo;t wait and just do it! I was gifted these bottles from stellar product testing panel and I cannot thank them enough for the opportunity. I had a lot of apprehension about glass because it&rsquo;s glass. Will my baby like these? Will they break easily? I can honestly say my baby didn&rsquo;t notice a difference going from her old bottles and breast to these. She has never had issues with gas/colic so I can&rsquo;t comment on that but I can say she transitioned just fine. The nipples are different from our old ones and again she didn&rsquo;t mind the change at all and goes back and forth from breast to bottle without issues. The nipples are easy to clean and come in different flows depending on your babies needs. My girl prefers a faster flow so we use the size 5. The bottles themselves are incredibly sturdy and are BPA free. I will sometimes make bottles ahead of time and put in the refrigerator then let them sit in a hot bath of water to warm. Since these bottles are thermal shock resistant I was never afraid of them breaking. They are easy to hand wash or throw in the dishwasher. The only downside is that they are heavier than regular bottles so my LO is not able to hold them on her own yet but she&rsquo;s getting better. She did drop one and it was completely fine. Made out of glass, they&rsquo;re l sturdy and easy to clean; yet not as fragile as you might think. The glass aspect does make it a bit slippery while washing, leaving it prone to slipping into the sink. But it&rsquo;s sturdy structure keeps it intact, without it cracking or breaking. They are a bit more on the heavy side , but my baby enjoyed using the bottles, and could even hold them himself (9 months). I love how wide the nipples themselves are. It made it a breeze to get in there and clean them properly. My baby was also able to drink his milk a lot easier (without having to work so hard), and the milk flowed faster. I'm an Avent convert. The markings on the side of the bottle are super clear and they have great ml markings which are needed if you are doing European formula. The glass is really thick, but not too heavy. I dropped it on concrete and not a scratch. And lastly, and most importantly, my baby loves it! The nipples honestly reduced his spit-up (and this is a super spitter upper). I love that there aren't any extra pieces to the bottle and that it cleans up easily. While I don't have a picky baby when it comes to bottles, this nipple seems to be really similar to a breast nipple, and would probably be a good choice for picky kiddos. The packaging they came in was great- they arrived in the mail and nothing was broken or chipped! Before they arrived I was a little nervous to use glass bottle because I also have a very active toddler, but these bottles are very sturdy and are well made. I actually like the weight of them more than the plastic bottles I&rsquo;ve used in the past. I like that I don&rsquo;t even have to think about BPA at all with the glass bottles. The bottles overall are a great quality and seal very well. I love these natural nipples, my baby drinks best from this type of nipple and I was glad that these bottles came with them already instead of needing to buy separate nipples to go with them. The nipples don&rsquo;t leak at all, but I needed to use a bigger size as we use AR formula and the size 2 just wasn&rsquo;t allowing the formula to pass through. The new size works great and I&rsquo;d definitely recommend. My daughter took to this bottle and a few others, and out of all of those bottles I loved this one the most! Here's why: 1) there are only 4 parts (bottle, nipple, ring, cap) to wash!!! trust me, when you have a baby you're not going to want to be washing anymore than necessary. Assembly is also so easy!! 2) the bottle is made of glass and I love that. it was important to me to use a non-plastic bottle, so I could only choose between glass or silicon bottles, and glass bottles heat up better than silicon bottles. 3) the bottles are very esthetically pleasing! I love the look and feel of it. They are definitely high quality and will last you for years. Both my babies used these bottles and when I received the new bottles for my newborn son, I discovered that the labeling of the bottles changed a little. Main reason is that they don't contain any chemicals that can get get in my baby's formula. I have been using these bottles for a while now and I really love them! The bottles are slim and the curvy shape makes it easy for me and my baby to hold on to it. The wide mouth makes it easy to clean, fill and make formula in. These are very durable and surprisingly not too heavy. Another plus is that it does not come with too many parts which sometimes make baby bottles complicated when there are a lot parts to assemble and clean. My baby latched on to the Natural Response Nipple and had no problems drinking from it. I like that the amount of milk consumed is controlled by your baby and does not leak when not in use. My baby girl is 4 months old and I am reviewing the 8oz, 4pk set. To start, I love the look and feel of this bottle! It feels solid with its thick glass and it has a simple and classic look with it's clear body and a white ring. The pieces come together easily and securely. As a result, I have confidence that it won't leak or crack. I also love that it's only a few pieces - the glass bottle, flexible nipple, ring to secure it, and a nicely fitting cap for traveling. When you put them all together it's a snug fit! I tested it for leaks and had no problems at all! The downside of the glass is that it's much heavier than plastic. I love that the body of the bottle is plastic-free, but it was too heavy for my little girl to hold independently. She is 4 months old and can hold plastic bottles on her own, but she might be able to hold this as she gets older. My little one has a hot-and-cold relationship with bottle feeding and she didn't start sucking productively when we tested it out, but she was excited about using the bottle and enjoyed holding it and gumming it. I have high hopes that she'll catch on with a few more tries! I breastfed my first baby for 18 months and she didn&rsquo;t do much bottle feeding. My second is exclusively bottle fed so I&rsquo;ve tried a ton of different bottles looking for the right fit for her! She seems to really prefer the wide shape of Avent nipples. She is able to latch effectively and finds a good rhythm of swallows/pauses/breathing. Here are the pros and cons for us: Pros: - I love that they&rsquo;re glass. They feel super sturdy, are easy to clean, and are a great size. They fit into my diaper bag nicely! - The ml/oz marks on the bottle are very clear and easy to see. This is an issue I&rsquo;ve had with other bottles. No squinting or having to turn on bright lights when making a bottle in the middle of the night to see the markings on the bottle! - Minimal parts. You&rsquo;ve got a bottle, a twist top, and a nipple. Easy to clean and assemble. Cons: - The natural response nipples are great in theory but they&rsquo;re tricky for my baby to figure out. You can see how the nipple is closed when not engaged and it opens wider when pinched/sucked. When the bottle is really full she does great and is able to get milk out. But as she continues and the milk starts to lessen, she isn&rsquo;t able to take as much in. I don&rsquo;t think this is a reflection of the product. Maybe more of a user error. I&rsquo;m not sure if this is a problem of stamina on her end or that she hasn&rsquo;t yet figured out how the nipple works. The nipple is supposed to mimic breastfeeding and since she isn&rsquo;t breastfed, this mechanism might not be best for her. Overall a great product.
