The Philips Avent Natural Glass Baby bottles, which I received from the weeSpring Parent Panel, completely changed my perspective on glass bottles. I love these! They are very durable despite weighing a bit more than the plastic bottles and are comfortable to hold and easy to assemble. Our baby took the bottle, no problem and I think the anti-colic vent really helped her take less air in. I actually now prefer these bottles to the plastic ones because you can actually tell they are clean, they don't get scratched up and cloudy. I also like that the glass is a more eco-friendly choice and I don't have to worry about the chemicals like in the plastic bottles.
Date published: 2018-02-02

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Easy to use and great for Breastfed Babies [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We loved the glass bottles! The bottles were nicely packaged and included easy-to-follow instructions for assembly. The three parts of the bottles were easy to clean, assemble, and use. The bottles are great quality. The ounce lines are exact. The glass is thick and the other parts are durable. One of the bottles broke but I believe it was human error. We exclusively breastfeed except for a few times a week where baby is at daycare and takes a bottle, etc. The nipple is great for pace feeding. We did not experience any nipple confusion. My baby had no problem taking this bottle. The nipple seemed to be comfortable for him and did not push in like other bottles we have tried. Unfortunately, we did not see the effect of the anti-colic vent. In fact, my LO had some tummy problems (gas, fussy) after using this bottle. Every baby is different so I am not discouraged by this at all. I love these bottles and plan on trying them with our next baby! It is really important for our family to be eco-friendly and use baby products with the least amount of plastic which is why we love these bottles! I highly recommend them to any family whether or not they place value on being eco-friendly :) My favorite part of the bottles is that they are a durable glass material. The weight is very helpful when pace feeding. There are only 4 parts: bottle, cap, nipple, and rim. I loved how easy this part was. My baby is breastfed and we have tried many different bottles. Unfortunately, this was one she did not prefer. My baby really loved the soft nipple and it was the first bottle she took! Since the bottles are glass, I didn’t have to worry about harsh chemicals from plastic. They felt really natural. The anti-colic vent works really well! No fussy baby here! The glass was so easy to clean and it’s a big plus the bottle only has a couple parts, less for me to clean! I was a little worried at first because she wasn't a fan of other wide neck bottles we had tried in the past, but she took these instantly. I definitely appreciate that the necks are wider because it makes mixing formula so much easier. No more powder all over my counter! The Phillips Avent Natural Glass bottles are not just my favorite, but my husband's and baby's favorite as well. The nipples are great! Soft, flexible, and feel nice to touch, but not floppy or TOO flexible. Currently baby will drink from both a level 1 and a level 2 nipple, and they both have pros and cons about them. A level 1 nipple is good so that she can pace herself and won't get too full too quickly or swallow too much formula at once. However, sometimes she drinks a little too slowly with them. She is almost 5 months old, but she was premature and very tiny, so we're kind of iffy on moving her up to level 2 nipples exclusively. My husband and I like that she can drink faster from them, so we can spend more time reading or playing with baby versus sitting and holding her bottle for her for half an hour (or sometimes even longer!) I also like that the level 2 nipples have 2 small holes instead of one larger hole like some other brands. I really like that these bottles are glass, too! Better for the environment, and better for baby! They are so easy to assemble and clean. You can't get much simpler than a bottle, a nipple, and a lid! Drying is a snap, too. Not many tiny crevices or hard to reach spots. Oh, and if you're worried about breakage, don't be! The glass is durable and sturdy enough to withstand a five foot drop onto both ceramic tile and hardwood flooring. Whoops! Thankfully, not a scratch, chip, or crack to be found. I have also noticed that my LO isn't nearly as gassy or fussy after taking formula from these bottles as she is with others. Looking at them, you wouldn't guess that there was any sort of anti-colic vent (no small parts or straws) but it works like a charm. I try my best to be green, and baby products are where I struggle the most. These glass bottles have helped me take one more step toward my eco-friendly goal! If/when we purchase more bottles, these are the ones we will buy. That being said you can imagine I was a little worried when I needed to go out of town and leave her behind. The hunt for a bottle began. An ecofriendly option was very important to me. After trying several bottles to no avail, we gave Philips Avent Natural Glass Baby Bottles a try. They came packed in a cardboard box and separated by walls of the same. Easy to recycle and no hassle opening. Unlike other bottles, my daughter had no issues latching or staying latched. The bottle is vented well and the nipple has well proportioned holes; my daughter wasn’t fussy during the feeding or gassy afterwards. For the first feeding we used a 4oz bottle with a one hole flow (the 8oz has two holes). The nipple is softest right at the tip, allowing for a soothing palate sensation and ease of flow. The bottles are easy to clean and assemble, though the lid was hard to pull off at first. I soon got the hang of it and can now do it one handed with ease. We have both the 4oz's and the 8oz's. The 4oz are excellently proportioned for my 10 month old, but the 8oz were too heavy for her to hold on her own. I’m sure as she grows they will accommodate nicely (most likely around 12-18 months). The 4oz size has a comfortable dip for your fingers to rest while feeding, which the 8oz does not. The 8oz has a slightly smoother surface that is more suited for a toddler to hold. My baby put the bottles through their paces. She has thrown them and dropped them, but not a single one has broken. She also pulls on the nipples with her teeth and even though the nipples are thin they are still going strong! A few days ago I accidentally left a bottle in my van overnight, in below zero temperatures. The next morning it wasn’t broken or cracked! I would highly recommend these bottles. We have put them to the test and love them. Even though all the plastic bottles are listed as BPA free, I still had some uneasiness of using a plastic bottle through the warmer and sterilizer. This glass bottle just gave me the peace of mind that my baby was feeding from a clean chemical free bottle. Unlike the plastic bottles that I would change out every few months or so, I can continue using the glass bottle so I feel that it is very cost effective. Unfortunately, my baby had a hard time transitioning from nursing to bottle feeding, and didn't take to the nipple very well. He would take a softer nipple better so I thought I might have to give up feeding on the Phillips glass bottle until I found that the nipple brand I was using and Phillips are compatible with each other! After an online search I found that the Phillips bottle was compatible with four other nipples. So if your baby is fond of a particular nipple, you may still be able to use Phillip's glass bottle. I was worried that the glass bottle might be a bit heavy on the wrist (my wrists have been hurting from all of the baby holding), and I was willing to accept it as a con for a eco-friendly bottle, but it was not heavy at all, and was pretty light to hold for a sustained period of time. Another pro of the product is that it is very easy to clean with the wide neck, the parts are easy to assemble and disassemble to put in for cleaning and sterilizing. Again no guilt with boiling the bottle over and over again because of its natural glass. I also found that milk warmed up more quickly with the glass bottle and stayed warmer for a longer period of time than plastic bottles. When there is a hungry baby crying, I feel like every second counts. Overall, this is a safe, sustainable bottle that has a clean look and is made to be easy for the parents.
Date published: 2018-02-02

Rated 5 out of 5 by FabMrsM from Perfect for breastfed baby! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter is breastfed and we tried a few bottles before we were able to try the Philips Avent Natural glass bottle. She took right to the bottle. The anti-colic feature is nice and she has noticeably less gas using these bottles. She seems to do well with the nipple shape and we have no trouble going back and forth from nursing and taking a bottle of pumped milk. I also love the fact that the bottles are glass! I planned to exclusively breastfeed but we wanted a set of bottles for dad feedings and eventually for caregivers once I went back to work. I did a ton of research and picked these bottles because 1) they're glass, giving me confidence that over multiple feedings and washings, the bottle material won't break down and leech into baby's milk, 2) the nipples seemed to be good for transitioning between breast and bottle, minimizing the likelihood of nipple confusion, and 3) I liked the idea of the anti-colic vent. Fast forward to our baby being born, we didn't have an opportunity to use them for a couple of months because we were exclusively breastfeeding in fear of nipple confusion. When we first tried the bottle, frankly it was difficult -- she just didn't want them. We tried sizing down to the size 0 nipple, and she still didn't want it. We tried another type of silicone bottle -- she didn't want them either. So for the duration of my maternity leave, she was exclusively breastfed. My first day back at work, I was terrified that she wouldn't eat, but we left our caregiver with both the Avent and other brand silicone bottles we already had, as well as the 4 oz. and 8 oz. Phillips Avent Natural Glass baby bottles that we received from the weeSpring Parent Panel in exchange for writing this review. By 4pm, she took to the Avent 4 oz. bottle and it's been smooth sailing with them ever since. Our four month old has been eating breastmilk from these bottles 5 days a week, ~9 hours a day for the past month, and we love these bottles. They're easy to disassemble, clean, and assemble -- only 4 pieces (bottle, nipple, cap, and the plastic piece that surrounds the nipple) without any funky crevices. I generally handwash but have also thrown them in the dishwasher and they're fine being cleaned that way, too. The anti-colic vent seems to work -- we haven't noticed any increase in fussiness (from gas or reflux) or even burping, which indicates to me that she isn't taking in too much air when she eats from these bottles. We haven't had any problems with the bottles leaking. And she has no problems switching between breast and bottle. We're still using the size 1 nipple (1 hole) at 4 mos. and it's a little slow for her preference, although we've tried the size 2 (2 holes) but it's just too fast a flow at this point. She may be ready for it soon, though; I do wish there was a nipple size between 1 and 2 because I think that would be perfect for her. Similarly, she still prefers the 4 oz. bottle (probably because she can handle it better) but we're trying to start working in the 8 oz. because she generally likes to eat more than 4 oz. at a time. Overall, we are very happy with, and would definitely recommend, this bottle.
Date published: 2018-02-02

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tdague from Loved these glass bottles! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received these bottles from weeSpring Parent Panel to test and review. These were extremely easy to clean, both by hand and in the dishwasher. I greatly appreciate the eco friendly option with the glass, I attempt to keep things as natural as possible. My baby had no issues latching with the stage 1 nipples but he was not a huge fan of the stage 2, they release the liquid rather quickly. We have used these for both breastmilk and formula, these were great for both. I appreciated the wide opening especially for formula mixing. The anti- colic vent seemed to work however if you are feeding in a dim or dark room it is very hard to find. Milk will leak if this is upside down. I do wish the set would come with a silicone cover but we have not had any issues with slipping out dropping. The bottles are a bit heavy, especially for a 5 month old who feels he must hold his bottles himself without assistance. I just had my third child a few months ago and wish I had had these bottles starting with my first. I am someone who is very conscious about using Eco-friendly products when possible, I have cloth diapered all three of my children and even use almost exclusively glass storage for our food at home. So naturally, I have always wanted glass baby bottles. Sure, plastic bottles are now made without BPA, but I am still weary of using plastic. My baby is exclusively breastfed/bottle-fed with breast milk. She latched right away with these bottles and the anti-colic valve worked wonders, we have had no issues at all with gas or fussiness. Huge win! And if that wasn't good enough, these bottles are extremely easy to clean, with just four parts (the bottle, nipple, a screw on ring that the nipple fits through, and a dome shaped protective lid to shield the nipple). The three main pieces also assemble very quickly and easily; just push and secure the nipple through the white ring, screw it on, feed your baby. We have not had any trouble with leakage either. The sides of the bottle dip in, making it easy to hold. It is also compatible with my breast pump so I can pump directly into the bottle. The only downside I can think of to these bottles (and anything that is glass) is the fact that glass is more breakable. These however, seem very durable and I have not had any breakage, even while toting these around town in a diaper bag and with a 2 and 5 year old who love to help me feed their little sister. If I had not received these for my honest review, I still would have purchased them, hands down. Thank you weeSpring Parent Panel for providing me with these perfect bottles!!
Date published: 2018-02-02

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nicole29 from Great breast to bottle transition! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 4 month old is exclusively breastfed, so finding a bottle that she will take (so mama can have some much needed alone time on occasion!) is a tall order. We previously have tried several bottles, with little to no success. Her usual M.O. is to cry and fuss, maybe drinking an ounce or two before giving up to wait for me to get home to nurse her. Obviously, this is not ideal for my partner, babysitters, or me! I was excited to find the Philips glass bottles, and hoped for the best with my picky bottle drinker! When I first got them unwrapped, they felt so substantial and high-end. They are made of glass, but it does not feel flimsy, nor unsafe around my little one. I washed them before first use. This was super easy, as the bottle is A) glass, and B) only has 4 parts (bottle, collar, nipple, and nipple cover) - a welcome change from the jigsaw puzzle many bottles seem to be. After washing and sterilizing, I filled the bottle up with breastmilk (so easy, due to the wide mouth of the bottle). It took ~3 minutes longer than a plastic bottle to warm up in a warm water bath - not substantial, but a difference. I got my little one ready, and to my shock, she took the bottle with little hesitation! She seemed to get a wide enough latch on the nipple, though I do wish the nipple was just a little bit bigger to allow for a deeper yet latch. The nipple seemed flexible in her mouth, and I liked that she had to "work for the milk" a bit, like she has to with breast feeding (of note: we do paced bottle feeding with her sitting up, to help with the breast to bottle transitions). I think the best part of this bottle was that her reflux seemed quite a bit better after a feeding with the Phillips glass bottle, thanks to the anti-colic vent. Other perks: it is eco-friendly, BPA free, and stylish. My only con is the size - my little one never takes greater than 4 oz at a feeding, so the size is overkill. However, for a formula-fed baby, or a baby with a larger appetite, it will work! Overall, we really love this bottle. It is easy to use, a dream to clean, and my baby takes it without fuss. What more can a mom ask for!? My husband takes over some of the feedings because we wanted baby to be comfortable using a bottle so that I can go back to work. I had been using the plastic Avent bottles - and liked them. We love that they don't give my gassy little guy more gas, I swear that he has less gas from these bottles than from breastfeeding! We also loved how easy they are to clean. What we didn't like about the plastic bottles is that they are plastic and probably not great for the environment and that they get a weird film on them after being sanitized in our very hard water at home. Unlike the previous reviewer, I did not have any issues with these bottles leaking, ever - and we've been using them for over a month now. Because I knew that we liked the plastic Avent bottles, I was thrilled when WeeSpring Parent Panel sent me these large glass bottles to try. Spoiler alert: we absolutely love them! They have the same great features (anti-colic, easy to clean) as the plastic bottles but they are eco-friendly and we don't have issues with that weird film when we sanitize the bottles. I also use these larger bottles to collect pumped breastmilk before freezing and I really appreciate that the cream doesn't get stuck to the sides like in the plastic bottles. An added bonus we love is that the parts are all interchangeable with the plastic Avent bottles. The one thing we don't love about these bottles is that they are a little bit heavy, so when using a drying rack you have to be careful about placing these bottles on the flat bottom part rather than on a traditional bottle drying rod. Overall these bottles are awesome! I would absolutely recommend the glass over the plastic - they clean better and they feel more substantial and we will use these for years to come!
Date published: 2018-02-02

Rated 5 out of 5 by LEGL from Great eco friendly bottle [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this bottle for review as part of the WeeSpring parent panel. I have a 5 month old daughter with reflux and she easily took this bottle. She had no issues with gas or increased reflux symptoms - so I would give two thumbs up to the anti-colic vents. The bottle is actually really elegant (a weird way to describe a bottle but I swear it is!), and very easy to clean and assemble. Most importantly, it is made of all non-toxic materials (glass and silicone), so I felt really good about giving it to my baby. The only downside (and this goes for every glass baby bottle I have tried) is that it’s a bit heavy to hold during a feed.
Date published: 2018-02-02

Rated 5 out of 5 by EStell from Great Bottles! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love these bottles. They are easy to assemble, take apart, and clean. The glass is awesome. Perfect for heating a bottle on the stove gently. It’s important to me to use eco-friendly and BPA-free products, especially when it comes to my babies. These are sturdy, high-quality and I appreciate that I know no harmful chemicals are leeching into the contents of the bottle. I know there are BPA-free plastic bottles out there, but I am simply more comfortable with glass. No gas or burping issues with these bottle, either! Highly recommend! I received these bottles from the WeeSpring Parent Panel in exchange for an honest review.
Date published: 2018-02-01

Rated 1 out of 5 by Sarah123 from Crazy leakage! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so happy to fine these until we used them! I have the plastic Avent handpump and so I had fed my baby with it couple times, but wanted glass bottles because plastic (even BPA free) is full of toxic chemicals, however he likes the nipples. These bottles leak everywhere. It’s horrible! We checked the lid and everything. I unfortunately will have to return and get a different brand of bottle.
Date published: 2018-01-25

y_2025, m_7, d_15, h_8

bvseo_bulk, prod_bvrr, vn_bulk_3.0.42

cp_5, bvpage2n

co_hasreviews, tv_3, tr_116

loc_en_CA, sid_EC06947C, prod, sort_[SortEntry(order=SUBMISSION_TIME, direction=DESCENDING)]

clientName_toysrus-ca

bvseo_sdk, dw_cartridge, 18.2.0, p_sdk_3.2.0

CLOUD, getReviews, 6ms

reviews, product
