When I first received the pump I was surprised and delighted at how unbelievably light it is. However, I feel this feature would be a much greater benefit though if the pump could be battery powered and hold a charge so you could be mobile while pumping. On the positive end, this pump is so incredibly comfortable and it gets great output! I love the silicone cushion insert, though I find it somewhat difficult to ensure it is all the way in place. It really does seem to help with great output - rivaling my double pump I got through insurance. While I typically prefer a Double pump for the sake of efficiency, this single pump is well designed and easy to use and I've used it when my LO only nurses on one side to even out. If it's also incredibly quiet! I don't know why pastel pink is the color of choice; while not a huge deal, I feel just plain old white would be more appealing to a wider range of moms. I also wish there were a small screen for a timer. Overall, I like the sleek look and petite size of this pump - so easy for transporting to and from work or anywhere - but I prefer a double pump and think that if Philips could figure out a way to make this pump mobile, it could be infinitely better. It's pretty simple to use, and looks cute with the pink motor and all that. The cord is decently long without being weighty or cumbersome. The pump is effective and wasn't too awkward to manage while nursing baby on the other side. I liked the nursing pads it came with. The silicone flange was so soft and comfy, until it wasn't (keep reading). The bad: there are a lot of pieces. It also boasts a quiet motor, but it is much louder than my double electric of a different brand, so that was disappointing. Also, with the silicone in the flange part, it's difficult to see the milk flow and know when to switch back to the stimulation mode. The ugly: it leaks! If baby bumps the pump or it tips at all, it leaks from where it connects to the bottle. I was pretty upset to see my liquid gold spilling out, and quickly! And the worst part was it didn't adapt to my nipple size. After using it in the morning, I was feeling the pain from using the wrong flange size for the rest of the day. At first I thought it was an issue with the testing program, griping to my husband that they should have asked me what size to send. But after looking at the product descriptions more closely on various retail sites, I realized that the silicone is supposed to adapt and it just wasn't adapting enough. Too much of my areola was being pulled into the flange. This was painful and decreased the effectiveness of the pump. Cleaning/assembly was easy and figuring out out the settings was not difficult either. I pumped about the same amount I usually do using my old pump in about half the time. The pumping process was much more enjoyable and I really felt nothing (compared to the usual discomfort). The pump motor is so small and light compared to my other big, clunky pump. I love the fact that I am not sacrificing the amount I can pump for a lighter, smaller pump. I was expecting the pump to be a bit quieter than it was but overall it was not loud at all. It has 2 modes-stimulation mode and expression mode and it makes it easy to toggle between the 2 and change the suction level as needed. It was surprisingly gentle while also being quick and effective at expressing the milk. This is the first time I used a silicone cushion on the funnel and it was comfortable and fit well on my breast. I will plan to bring this pump to work when I go back because it is light to carry and comfortable to use while also being effective. What I love the most about this pump is the flexible silicone cushion within the flange (the funnel-shaped thing that goes over your nipple). With the other pumps I&rsquo;ve owned, I&rsquo;ve had to order custom flanges, because the ones in the box didn&rsquo;t fit properly, and caused pain while pumping. The silicone cushion with this pump essentially customizes the flange for you, so you don&rsquo;t have to order a custom part - which I love. I also love the compact size (about the size of a large cellphone, and maybe 3x as thick). It fits easily in the diaper bag, if I need to &ldquo;pump on the go.&rdquo; With our first child, we traveled a lot to see relatives all over the country. Lugging around the insurance-issued pump that I had was kind of a pain, and it took up a lot of precious suitcase space. This pump is so small and light that it could easily be packed in your carryon - which is what I will likely do once we start traveling again (post-Covid). It&rsquo;s also easy to store/set on a small space like a bedside table, which is where I usually keep mine right now. Another practical feature is that pumps right into a bottle (a small one is provided with the set, but you can purchase more, and bigger sizes), which is super convenient. Just pump and then swap out the attachment for the bottle&rsquo;s nipple &amp; lid, and you&rsquo;re ready to go. I&rsquo;ve had mastitis twice recently, and it was too painful to nurse, so the pump-to-bottle feature was especially nice for immediate baby feeding. Finally, the pump is PINK - which I love for superficial reasons, ha! The color has nothing to do with the performance, but I love that it&rsquo;s such a beautiful blush pink. The color, the compact size, and the sleek design make the whole process of pumping seem less mechanized and industrial, which is refreshing. The silicone cup adjusts to your breast shape very well and provides an impressive seal and milk expression while still being comfortable. I barely noticed I was pumping, it was so quiet and comfortable. The compact little motor is great! The pump works so quietly. It's amazing how discreet and helpful this little gadget is. I was so happy with this breast pump, I even brought it on a road trip! Pretty sure it will quickly become my go to for pumping. The small lightweight motor is great for travel and fits perfectly in my regular diaper bag. The motor is small enough to hold in your hand, but I did find it slightly noisy compared to other pumps. The instructions were well written and easy to understand. Assembly was simple and the parts that required cleaning cleaned easily in the dishwasher. The settings on the pump were simple and easy to use. I liked how the pump would automatically switch to expression mode. I did find that the silicone cushion was comfortable during pumping but due to its shape, it allowed milk to collect along the inside rim and it was a little messy when removed from the breast. The pump worked well overall and allowed me to pump adequately. I tried multiple settings and found the pump to be comfortable. This is a single breast pump. I personally prefer the option to have a double pump and the ability to switch from single to double to save time, however the price of the single pump is more attractive compared to the double pump if time is not a concern. Due to the ease of use and compact size of this single pump it made pumping extremely easy in different locations. I am able to nurse my 3-month old easily while pumping the other breast so I am able to build up my freezer supply when I go back to the office someday. It is small, discreet, and very quiet. I love love love all the different settings and this little pump certainly has just as much suction (if not more) than some other double pumps that I've tried. My favorite part about the pump is the silicone flanges. I've got &quot;elastic nipples&quot; and this is so much more comfortable than other hard plastic ones. My baby uses Avent bottles anyway, so this saves a cleaning step for me after a pumping/nursing session. The first thing I noticed was the silicon cushion that goes over the breast. It was soft and felt nice on the breast. However, it came with only 1 size, which wasn't great since I'm a bit on the larger side. The bottle was nice and small, its about 5oz. I liked the fact that it had both UK and US measurements. I don't think have noticed any other bottle having that. The pump itself was lightweight and smooth to the touch. It was compact enough that it doesn't over take space it my diaper bag. The first time I used it, I thought it was a bit loud, because the house was quiet with every one in bed. I tried it again with the TV on, and I could barely hear it. The noise was drowned out enough. The pump was a bit hard to read so I had to read the manual a few times to put it together and know what the symbols on it mean. There weren't a lot of items to put together but I still had to read the manual each time to make sure I didn't forget any pieces. This pump didn't work well with my pumping bra, so I had to hold it the whole time I used it, which wasn't too bad since I'm sitting anyway. Also depending on the level, the suction was a bit strong, but that maybe because my nipples are sensitive after nursing, which is when i typically pump. I found myself using the lower settings, and didn't hurt as much. I think it's a great pump but I didn't like being plugged in to pump. This pump would be great, if you could go handsfree with it since it's designed to pump straight, you don't have to lean over which avoids spills. I also didn't like the fact that there was no timer to show how long I've been pumping. Overall, I liked using the pump, and I find myself grabbing it before my older one... I did notice that it comes with an option to get a double instead of single expression, so I may look to upgrade that if possible. This is 100% due to comfort and ease of use! My pumping sessions have for the first time ever been completely pain free. This is for sure due to the comfy silicone cushions that perfectly fit and shape to my breasts. No more messing around with finding the right size shield (which are always made of hard plastic that dig into your breast) and cause pain. Absolutely ALL breast pumps should be made this way. The pump is so easy to use and find your perfect setting. My let down has been faster too. I honestly think that&rsquo;s because I&rsquo;m more comfortable when pumping and not stressed out from being in pain. I really can&rsquo;t get over how small this pump is (it&rsquo;s actually smaller than my iPhone) and is much more effective than even my best full size pump which was about $400. The pumps small size has been so nice as now I don&rsquo;t have to lug around a separate pump bag when out and about. I just throw it in the side pocket of my diaper bag and go! This is extremely nice and important to me as I have enough to tote around with 3 little ones! It is unbelievable how quiet this pump is too. I would honestly have to say it&rsquo;s the quietest pump I&rsquo;ve ever used. That has been a HUGE plus for when I pump at work and don&rsquo;t want my co workers or patients to hear me (I work in a small office) and also at night when my toddler and babies are asleep. I would like to say overall I really ended up loving this pump. I was afraid because of its size it wouldn&rsquo;t be very effective. Let me tell you that is not the case. This pump holds its own for sure. I was able to completely empty my breasts with this pump which is very nice. As we all know the emptier the better. So one of the things I really enjoyed was the size. It is not only a pretty pump but it is so small and sleek. In stead of having to bring a separate bag just for my pump I was able to throw this right in my diaper bag! With a new born I have enough stuff to haul around so I was excited to be able to eliminate the extra baggage. The next thing I loved was how quiet this pump is. I was able to pump while out and not feel embarrassed that people could hear my pump from another room. Now let&rsquo;s talk about the shield. It is very comfortable but for me it sometimes pinched. I think part of that is my nipples are a bit smaller and the average breast shield is too large for me. I was a little unsure about whether I was reinstalling it correctly after washing it and if that might be why. So one thing I wasn&rsquo;t so thrilled about was the amount of parts. There are so many tiny parts to wash. For me the simpler the better. Overall it is a great alternative to the normal oversized pump. It is definitely my go to pump for on the go. I was really impressed with how well it worked for how small it was. It was easy to use and find the right settings and was actually pretty comfortable due to the silicone inserts. It felt more natural than other pumps but I wouldn&rsquo;t say the inserts made it more efficient. It was pretty quiet so I felt like it didn&rsquo;t disrupt anyone and I could still work while I was pumping. My favorite part about this is that the duckbill valve part that is usually a pain to get off actually has a tab on it to make removal super easy! The downfall to this pump is how many pieces there are and how bulky the flanges are attached to the bottle when the pump itself is so small. In the past I've used both electric and manual pumps so I was excited to compare this single electric pump to the others. Let's start off with the pros. It's super compact in size which makes it really easy to travel with. I can throw it right in my diaper bag instead of carrying a whole separate backpack just for the pump. My favorite part is the soft silicone cushion. I'm used to hard plastic breast shields so the silicone was a welcomed change. It's so comfortable that I barely even feel it while pumping. The buttons are straight forward and after playing around with the suction options I quickly found one that worked for me. The pause button also comes in handy when I need to readjust or stop for a moment when I nurse my baby on one side while using the pump on the other. As an added bonus my baby was already using the Avent bottles so it's nice that I can pump right into her bottles instead of transferring the milk from one bottle to another. As for improvements I wish it had some type of carrying case so I could keep all of the parts together. Also, a battery option would be wonderful so I wouldn't have to be dependent on finding an outlet. There have been many times when I'm out and about and cannot find access to one. Also, while it's way more comfortable than my other electric pump, I found that this pump took a little bit longer to express my milk. Overall I'd still recommend it as it's a really well designed product. This is a terrific single pump and couldn't have arrived at a better time. As a two-time breastfeeding and pumping mom, I had used several different pumps in the past. I often pump for a minute before feeding my baby. This pump was perfect for that! The silicone cushions were soft and fit well to my body. It also had lots of different settings so I could customize based on how I was feeling that day. I also liked how quiet the motor was. I was able to pump and not wake my baby until I was ready to. I also used it for full pumping sessions and it continued to be quiet and comfortable. If you are looking for a single pump, it is highly effective in helping to quickly produce milk. I also really liked that it used the Avent bottles so all one needed to do was add a top and you are ready to feed babe. The cord to plug it in and the tubing are both long to allow you to easily find a comfortable spot a bit farther from an outlet. I also really liked how the plastic and silicone parts washed up really clean with minimal effort. For a new mom, this is a huge selling point. I also liked that the silicone flange had a little lip on it so that you didn't spill any milk when you take it off of the breast. It can be a huge pain when this happens, so I appreciate Avent adding the lip to prevent this spill. I did have some minor complaints though. The flange is part of a large piece, so I'm not sure how you would ever use it with a pumping bra -- it didn't seem like it would fit, which meant that you are stuck holding it on. The connection between the pump parts and the bottle is partially opaque plastic that you are unable to see through. This means you can't always tell if milk is flowing into the bottle and how much milk you have pumped already. Not a huge deal, but a bit of frustration. Also, for most people a double pump is the way to go if you are trying to save time, but if you are looking for an easy to use single pump this is a great option. The machine is not very loud which makes pumping in public or during the night a quiet ordeal. I was happily surprised that the suction was strong, so don't doubt it's smaller size! It is fairly easy to assemble all the pieces, just be sure that the silicone ones are snug in place or it can leak. I found the perfect setting quickly and was able to express milk quicker and I felt like I was able to get more of the hind milk than with my other pump. The comfortable flange makes it unique compared to other breast pumps. It is soft and easily conforms to the correct size of the nipple, so there is no need to buy different size flanges after purchasing this pump. I noticed that this piece is the hardest to completely get in place but they do have a small arrow on the side to help. Be sure to get it all the way to that line or it will leak. One con is that the silicone area does collect a little breastmilk while pumping. The flange has a lip to catch it so luckily it doesn't leak everywhere when you remove it from the breast. It is just a bit difficult to get it into the bottle from there. I usually just use a spit up rag to absorb it after I'm finished pumping one side. I love the compact size which makes it perfect for traveling. We can easily stick it in our diaper bag so we don't have to lug around our pumping backpack which is awesome and one less thing to remember traveling! It is easy to use with multiple settings so you can find the perfect suction. The pause button is a perk if you need to readjust at all. The pros of this pump would be that it is compact, and the silicone suction that mimics baby&rsquo;s sucking for a good output. The cons would be that it is a single electric pump, and the amount of parts it is to clean because let&rsquo;s be real moms HATE cleaning pump parts! First I&rsquo;ll start by saying I love the simple design of this pump. It can easily fit into a purse for easy on the go. It also looks nice sitting out. So if you&rsquo;re like me and pump in a professional setting you may not mind just leaving it out. The buttons are simple and the suction settings are great! The suction for this pump is strong but gentle so it does a great job with milk output. My FAVORITE thing about this pump is the silicone insert that is what really helps the milk output increase. Pumping isn&rsquo;t easy and the more you stress about output the less milk you will get. I have found myself being more relaxed when using this pump. The cons I would say is that it is a single electric pump and more than likely if you are pumping at work you will need a double pump. Who has the ability to double the pump time because they have to do 15 mins each side rather than just getting them done at the same time? I also find that the bottle is way too small and parents would prefer to get Atleast a 5-6 oz bottle to begin with so they aren&rsquo;t having to invest in more items in the future. I have to dump my milk mid way through because I fill it up too quickly! How amazing is that!? Second of all, instead of a plastic flange this pump comes with a silicone flange! It was like a pillow for my breast while pumping, soooo comfy! I don&rsquo;t know why more pump brands don&rsquo;t have these! Third of all, it comes with a cap for the flange! I could easily finish pumping, put on the cap, and store it in the fridge. No quick transfer to a bottle or bag to keep the milk safely stored. This is huge for night pumping! Last but not least, the duckbill valves had a lovely feature to which you could easily pull them off to clean. I hate when I cannot get the valve off and need to use my fingers on the valve itself. But with this pump, the valves had a place to pull from so it came off easily every time! Other features to mention- I got the same output from this pump as I do other breast pumps. Once I learned the best levels for me, it worked like any other brand/pump. It was super easy to use. It is pretty quiet compared to other brands/pumps. I could use it near my sleeping baby and toddler without worrying about waking them. I put it in front of my TV and was able to watch my shows while I pumped.
