She has a hard time keeping pacifiers in her mouth but with the animal attached, it helps balance the pacifier. We place the animal on her chest and the pacifier stays in her mouth better. I also like that the animal is detachable. That way we can sterilize the pacifier and wash the animal separately. The sloth design is cute and has a velcro tab that is compatible with other pacifiers so that gives it better functionality. Overall, this is a winner in our household. While my LO loves the pacifier that came with it, I&rsquo;m sure others would like the option to attach the type of pacifier their LO likes to use. I also like the fact that I can remove the pacifier from the sloth. That allows me to be able to really clean and sterilize the pacifier without destroying the sloth. I only wish I could get my daughter to accept a pacifier more often- I was hoping this would do the trick. It's simple in that it's one piece, so fuzz and other fibers don't get caught in any crevices. It's also detachable from the furry sloth piece, which is surprisingly useful since we have a few different types of pacifiers and can just plug and play with whichever one's lying around. The sloth sits too close to little girl's face though. She can see the sloth's face, but can't quite focus on it and I think that frustrates her. My 3 week old daughter is my fourth child, so I have experience with kiddos and trialing pacifiers. My daughter would not take other pacifiers that I had tried on her, so when this came for me to try for the Stellar Product Testing, I was hopeful. The shape of this pacifier works well for her little mouth and she actually sucked on it without immediately spitting it out. She actually will take this pacifier without fighting it and will suck on it until she is soothed. It has been a lifesaver for when I know she doesn't want to feed but wants to soothe herself with something to suck on. The little sloth that attaches as a pacifier buddy is cute too. It would be nice to have a variety of little animals though. I especially like the fact that the pacifier can easily detach from the sloth buddy, it puts my mind at ease knowing that I can properly clean the sloth and the pacifier. My older children had a giraffe pacifier buddy, but I was always hesitant to use it due to not knowing how to properly clean and sterilize the unattachable pacifier. I also like that the sloth has a little velcro piece so you can attach it to something or maybe even attach it to a different pacifier. This sloth has two different attachments for pacifiers, one specific to the Avent soothie brand and a velcro strap to attach other kind of pacifiers. My oldest baby loved the Avent soothie and when we got him a snuggle buddy many years ago the pacifier was completely attached to the animal so it was inconvenient for washing and having to replace the pacifier. This newer design is so much nicer! The pacifier can detach from the sloth for the washing of either. The sloth can be machine washed and air dried, which is great for when you have an active baby and they get it dirty. The sloth is soft and cuddly and weighs just enough to help keep the pacifier in the baby's mouth while the baby is snuggling it. My most recent baby took to a different kind of pacifier, but I am still happy with the function of the animal for my baby to cuddle and to have a back-up pacifier just in case. I am very happy with it over all! She is 4 months old and the only pacifier she takes is the Avent Soothie. It's easy for her to suck on, soft and the nipple is the perfect size for her. She is constantly losing her pacifier so having this cute little sloth animal on it makes it easier for us to find if she spits it out. She also likes to hold on to the little animal. When she pulls her pacifier out she is easily able to grab it and put it back in her mouth now. We do take it off when she falls asleep because I don't want it in her face. My almost 4 month old loves the Snuggle Buddy. He will use the pacifier or even chew on his new sloth friend. As a mom, being able to detach the pacifier and wash it, or switch it out for that one pacifier that my son seems to love more than anything else is amazing. There is so much peace of mind in having a clean product in your child&rsquo;s mouth, so I appreciate the washability, even if I was longing for a fuzzier sloth friend. I&rsquo;ve used pacifiers that are attached to little stuffed animals before because they are cute and they&rsquo;re easier to find plus they seem easier for baby to hold and keep with them. I haven&rsquo;t had one before though where the pacifier could actually come off. I love that you can switch the pacifiers, easily clean it, there&rsquo;s a little Velcro tab you could attach it to things, and even though the pacifier comes off- it actually stays attached really well. My baby is 5 months old and this is my third child using Avent soothie pacifiers and I love it. It has a simple design that makes it so easy to clean, and I especially love that it's not hard or sharp anywhere. I didn't feel like I needed anything new for my third and I was wrong. The sloth soft animal that attaches to the pacifier is so helpful for me and my baby who is always on the move. With the pacifier being attached to the animal, it also makes it much easier to find the pacifier when needed! I found the sloth to be just as easy to clean as the pacifier. I've really enjoyed that I'm able to detach the pacifier and animal so that a different pacifier can also easily be attached. Also, you can easily attach other types of teethers to the sloth toy so the options are endless. It's especially great for in the car as baby is able to easily find and play with the toy and then when she gets tired she can use the pacifier.
