I tried it multiple times a day for two weeks, and used techniques that typically get him to start sucking on the pacifier (using firm pressure on the tongue, rotating it in circles, multiple exposures, etc) but he quickly spit it out each time. I don't fault the company, some babies just have very specific pacifier preferences. The pacifiers are well constructed and I like that they come with their own sanitizing cases, but they are not the pacifier for us! They are extremely easy to sterilize using the case they come with. Add a little water and pop into the microwave and they are sterilized ! The case is also very handy to carry in a diaper bag or purse to prevent the pacifiers from becoming dirty. The soft and flexible shield fits my daughters face perfectly and has never left any type of mark on her face. She continuously grabs for these pacifiers over others that are offered. She loves to hold and play with this pacifiers as well as use them. The colors and designs are subtle and cute! These pacis are great!!! The nipple is the perfect flat/round shape and she had absolutely no problem falling in love with them. They also have some pretty cute designs that were more appropriate for her 18month age now versus infant pacis. I keep two in the house, one in my purse as backup (with the carrying case it came in) and another in my car. She liked this pacifier for daytime use but wouldn&rsquo;t use it for sleep. I really liked the pacifiers shield. My daughter has sensitive skin and the shield never caused it to get irritated. I also really liked the case the pacifiers came it. It was easy to throw an extra one in the diaper bag when leaving the house. I never had to worry about the pacifier getting dirty. Being able to use the case to sanitize the pacifiers was very convenient. I liked that I didn&rsquo;t have to have a different device to sanitize them. Overall we are happy with these pacifiers. The swan design is adorable and, for those who like the princess thing (admittedly not for me.....), the Hello Princess is quite cute in appearance. Immediately apon seeing the package she was trying to tear it open. Waiting until they were washed and sterilized was a feat. But! With the carry/sterilization case, it really wasn't too long a wait. Fill to the line and pop in the microwave for 3 minutes. No pot of water. No hunting the cabinets and drawers for the sterilizing bags. The pacifiers are very light weight. The minimal plastic against her face helped keep her skin cool and dry (another feat with hardcore teething happening). Philips is a can't miss choice is almost any product. The only downside for us was that the handle is plastic and moves and our kiddo really prefers the solid silicon handle to grab on her fully silicon ones. When I received them, I was pleased to see they they included a carrying case that doubles as a sterilizer. I immediately sterilized them in the microwave and it was so easy. Just add a tiny bit of water, and microwave for a few minutes. I was happy that I was able to give my daughter a pacifier that I knew was clean. I offered her the pacifier in the evening, and I completely expected her to at least time some time to warm up to the idea of a new one. Nope! She popped it right in and happily &quot;pacifiered&quot; away. The adorable &quot;Hello Princess&quot; design matched her pink outfit perfectly. When I put her to bed, I again offered the pacifier and she happily snatched it out of my hand. She used it throughout the night, and when she woke up in the morning I was thrilled to see there was no red marks around her mouth from the pacifier. The flexible shield was so gentle on her sensitive skin. All in all, I was completely satisfied with these pacifiers. They have become my daughter's new favorites. My daughter is 17 months old and typically uses another brand of orthodontic silicone pacifiers but she took to this one surprisingly well given her age and how picky she is! She has even reached for this one over her usual pacifier! The designs are very cute and come in pretty shades of pink and purple. We like that it has a little handle so it is easier to hold and attach her pacifier clip to it. The shield is super soft and flexible and did not leave any marks or irritation around her mouth which is a big plus, especially when she falls asleep with her pacifier! The carrying case is a nice addition and fits well in my diaper bag when we are on the go. The pacifiers cleaned well in the top rack of my dishwasher. Bonus carry case and sterilizer</span> <span itemprop="description">I was given this pacifier to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I have always been hesitant to use 2-piece pacifiers with the fear of the nipple coming apart from the shield. I tugged hard and pulled on it and it didn't come lose or budge at all! The carrying case doubling also as a sterilizer is a huge bonus. Our pacifiers were always getting lint and dust in it. I didn't want to invest separately in a carrying case so it's great this is a 2 pack pacifier AND case/sterilizer. My little one did not spit out the pacifier, she continued to suck without noticing I changed it. It's a soft silicone nipple and hard silicone shield which is different than others which are plastic. It gives it a nice matte, high end feel and appearance. The silicone material kept little ones perioral area clean and dry, not damp at all. The instructions for sterizling are included and super simple to follow. Just add half an oz of water, microwave 3 minutes then leave it alone for 5 minutes. I used this method more than boiling it in a pot.
