I used it on my bathroom door wich my 3 year old can open and it works great! She can no longer get in the bathroom and it's fast easy to open and close, you just press the 2 little buttons and it opens with no problem. The strip and the lock are strong and very secure. We have been using it for about a year on every single drawer in our kitchen. My toddler can't open it. I used them in my kitchen! I have two toddlers that are very active and LOVE getting into things they're not supposed to! My one year old loves to try and open the oven (when it's turned off) and he also loves to open the cabinets under my sink which hold all of my cleaners. I used one strap to hold my oven closed and one strap to keep the cabinets closed and they work great! My toddlers can't get into either but I'm able to access them myself easily. Simply remove the sticker and press it on. It is very sturdy and keeps my toddlers out of drawers and cabinets that I don't want them in. We are always worried what they will get into, so we knew we needed appliance locks. We used another brand that was so poorly constructed that it doesn't even hold it closed. The Safety 1st All Purpose Strap is different. It locks in tight and doesn't come off by my toddler pulling on it. the strap is snug, so the door can't be opened at all without disengaging the lock. While the lock isn't the easiest to undo (a good thing!), my toddlers haven't figure out how to defeat it yet. I used this strap to close the cabinet under the sink where I keep cleaning supplies and other harmful chemicals. It installs in seconds and stays put for good. It is adjustable so it can fit any sized cabinet or drawer. I think I may put the other strap on the toilet because my son seems fond of flushing things right now. It was a little hard for me top open at first because you have to squeeze the two pieces of plastic together quite hard to get it to open. But it was easier once I had opened it the first time. I think I may buy a few more packs of these straps to put on his dresser drawers so he stops pulling all of his clothes out.
