Not confident about accuracy. The reading changes on multiple readings in succession. The changes aren't large but with a 102 fever you want accuracy. 4. Smartphones are making people electronic dumb. It's not intuitive. Take your time, familiarize yourself with it before you actually need it and you will figure it out. 5. My 6 year old wasn't feeling well last night so I decided to try it out to make sure it would work well with the baby. I used it once and it worked great! I got a quick, accurate read. When I tried to check it again a few hours later, it would not check her temperature. It came on with the last read temperature and then had 2 lines and would not do anything else. I pulled it out of her ear to make sure it was on and it automatically said LO. It did this for the remainder of the night. I am glad I tried it before the baby got here and we desperately needed it. I am very disappointed in the purchase of the product.

I don't have enough time to write about all the ways in which this line of products is wretched. Since purchasing this thermometer full price from a store in January, every time she's *very obviously* had a fever, this thermometer has read that she's in hypothermia verging on shock. I tried switching to and from Celsius, changing batteries, warming the thermometer up for a test run before trying on a human mouth, but none of these resulted in more accurate readings. My kid also cries when the funnel is in her ear, and I get it-- even on my adult ear, it's extremely uncomfortable to use. Then I made the mistake of purchasing ANOTHER full price Safety First brand thermometer (this one is of the three way oral, arm-pit, and booty variety) (I was not allowed to use the anatomically correct term for the latter). My daughter's got another fever yet still reading as if she in the midst of an Arctic expedition. Safety First, your products are garbage and your canned robot replies are a biting reminder that, in this consumer economy, only dollars matter. Just a full on yikes, all around.

Battery dies quickly, not accurate
I bought this bc my work requires us to take our temp before coming into work during this pandemic. I searched 5 stores before coming across this and it was the last one and I was desperate. I can say that it doesn't give an accurate reading and then after not see even a week the battery dies! Now, I get it batteries die so I bought a replacement battery but nope still wont turn on. I am now on a hunt for a new thermometer on my day off bc I cant return to work until I know my temperature. Very frustrating.

I purchased this one for home and it gives different reading seconds later for the same person. I do not trust it, it's sad I had 2 new thermometers from Safety 1st and when I son got sick I could not use either one because they are worthless. I had to use another thermometer I have had for over 15 years when my middle daughter was a baby and it was not safety 1st brand. Never again!
