My 8 week old baby had a butt (they flagged the "r" word as profanity?!) fever of 101.1, yet the ear temperature showed no fever at 84.6. (Yes, I know fever temperatures are different from various body parts.) I tried three times on baby, sibling, dady and myself and the temperatures were always several degrees off. Possible we're just not doing it right.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Was considering the purchase of the temporal thermometer and this one was recommended instead. The temporal has to be slid across the forehead at the right speed and the baby has to allow it which makes for a frustrating time. We had the pacifier style thermometer, but our baby would spit it out after a few seconds, especially when he was fussy. This ear style thermometer literally takes 1 second to zap his ear, and it gets a pretty accurate reading every time. Would def recommend this to other parents.</span>

My son felt warm and I kept on taking his temp with the ear thermometer and read normal. Eventually I went back to he normal one cause he felt too warm. When my son was feeling better a few days later I went back to exchange it, thinking it was just a bad battery. The new one kept flashing Lo Batt as soon as I pulled the plastic tab out.
