Let me start by saying that this is a solid carseat with some unique features and a few quirks to go along. With two small children who have both been in several different carseats, I certainly have developed a preference for certain features. One that I have not yet experienced is the rotating feature. I have really enjoyed being able to turn the carseat towards the door to take my son in and out before turning it rear facing for travel. It is definitely easier to load, unload and tighten straps without being at an awkward angle. As an added bonus, my son really appreciates that I have not hit his head on the door frame one time while using this carseat!! He also enjoys the spin prior to travel, and I love that there is a lock indicator that easily lets me know the seat is locked for travel. My biggest complaint regarding the rotational feature is that the release handle to engage the spinning feature is very awkward and hard for me to do. My husband is able to do it with one hand, but at such an odd angle I don't have the grip strength to do it from the side. I love that the cupholders can easily be removed for washing, and though I haven't had to try it yet, I appreciate that the carseat cover is machine washable too. As far as installation goes, it could not have been more simple. I have installed A LOT of carseats in many different cars, and I really appreciate that this seat is almost dummy-proof with the tension-sensitive indicator that lets you know the base has enough tension on installation. I do love the idea of it and it was much easier to get little ones out especially if they are rear facing. It was nice to be able to rotate my baby, and I could put her shoes on before I got her down and not worry about hitting my head or her head as I lean over to get her out. The actual lever you have to use to rotate the seat was a little hard to squeeze and rotate the seat at the same time so that would be the only thing I'd change about the car seat. The car seat was easy to install. I do really love that it has the green checks for both the buckle to know it's fully buckled and for the car seat to know it's fully locked in so you know your baby is secure. The seat was also easy to move up and down for child's height as they grow. The install was a bit tricky at first, but once I got it in I was amazed at how much it does not move. He is very comfortable in it and loves it when I spin it around which is also a huge blessing because he didn't love his infant bucket seat. My only con is it is a very big seat which is fine for us, but I don't think it would be great for three across car seats. It is very sleek looking and I'm sure it will hold up for years to come. I also love all the padding in the carseat and it looks so comfy for her! The car seat also has multiple modes so this can grow with her as she ages which is a plus and it means I don't have to keep buying multiple car seats. One part of this car seat that I did not like was the installation. While the installation itself isn't too bad, the instructions that come with the car seat are so hard to follow, so I had to go online and follow a video for the installation and it was better to follow. The only other part that I am not a fan of is the heaviness of the carseat. Opened the instruction manual and it was a bit confusing, I am more of a visual and hands on person. So I just grabbed the seat and started to install it. Found that the seat had numbered instructions on it so I just had to follow the numbers and it took me two minutes to install. There is also a QR code on the seat to watch install video. Rotated the seat so it faced me and put in my daughter in it. It was so easy, at that moment I realized that this seat is a game changer. I'll have to replace all my other car seats with this one! Although I was not impressed with their manual. When reading it to find out what mode my daughter should be in it said rear facing 5-40lbs and 19-40&quot; my daughter is 21 months 27lbs and 35&quot; so according to that she should be in rear facing. But with the stipulation that the belt buckle be in slot 1 or 2 and NOT 3 between the legs in rear facing and that was not going to work. She was sitting on top of the buckle and there was no way it was going to be able to fasten. I reached out to customer service to ask for some advice or suggestions but never heard back which was disappointing. I went ahead and installed it in forward facing mode so I could move the buckle to slot 3 giving my daughter the extra room she needed. The requirements for forward facing are 22-65lbs and 29-49&quot; and my daughter fit those requirements but it confused me because the manual said &quot;your child must remain in rear facing mode until 40&quot; or 40lbs&quot; and my daughter did not hit either of those. The car seat and base are attached making it pretty heavy to load into the car but doable. I have bucket seats in the 2nd row of my car and had another car seat installed in the opposite seat while installing this one. The other car seat did get in the way when I had to flip this car seat off the base to install it. It got caught and I had to wiggle the car seat free to flip it back over on the base. Other than that little hang up installation was pretty simple. It needs room to be installed but isn't bulky or giant once in and set up. The shoulder pads on the straps are a bit bulky and have a sticky feeling anti slip material to them. I absolutely love the rotation feature, my daughter is getting bigger and it makes it way easier loading and unloading her in the car. After using it for a while, including 10 hours of a road trip, I do like the seat and the convenience it offers. The 360 rotation is handy when you have a squirmy toddler! The installation involved some trial and error due to a longer buckle stalk (female end) in my van's captains chairs, which caused the buckle to rest on the plastic of the base and prevented a tight installation. I had a video call with customer service to troubleshoot (great option from Safety First), and they were able to tell me that twisting the buckle stalk a couple of times was approved and safe for installation. Though I don't love the idea of twisting the buckle stalk, it did shorten the buckle stalk and I got a tight installation. It is worth noting that my 3rd row seats, as well as the bucket seats in our SUV, had a great installation. I feel very confident I can get a secure installation every time in our vehicles at this point. And I love the belt lock off feature - it gets a solid installation with very little effort. With 10 years of usability and multiple modes for this seat, we will be able to use it for many years to come. It is a bit heavy and bulky, so I am not sure that we will use it as our main car seat once we get to booster mode. Though there are a lot of positive aspects to this car seat, I will use it as our backup seat for our rear facing phase, as the crotch buckle sits further under our 2.5 year old than I would like. During my video call with Safety First, they said that the manual for this car seat is being revised to allow for use of the crotch buckle in the 3rd position for rear facing, but even this was not quite far enough out for my average sized 2.5 year old. Overall I would recommend this seat, as long as a trial install and child fitting are successful! I installed the car seat according to the directions. Once installed, I tried the rotation feature as soon as possible because I was so excited about it. It does not rotate smoothly at all. I watched videos online to see if I installed it wrong because it couldn't possibly be that difficult to rotate but I didn't find any additional information. It's almost as if it catches on something or the lever is faulty. I feel 90% confident that the car seat is installed correctly. I followed all of the directions but maybe I missed something. Once I rotated it toward myself, I placed my daughter in the seat and strapped her in. That was definitely much more comfortable than reaching around to buckle her in like our other seats. However, I am not sure if this seat will last us 10 years. There is already wear on the plastic pieces from rotating and I have only been using it for a week. I am a bit disappointed with the car seat overall. I had high hopes that it would be the answer to all of my car loading problems with three kids but sadly it is not. I would appreciate a one-handed button or lever that easily releases for rotation. I really have to work at it sometimes and that is frustrating when I have a toddler in my arms. My favorite features are definitely the rotation and the easy seatbelt installation but the mechanism of the rotation needs improvement. The base seems very sturdy. The fabric is comfortable but could be modernized to compete with other stylish car seats on the market. The rotation feature really does make it easier to get him into the car, and I expect I'll continue to appreciate this feature even more as he gets heavier and squirmier. The cushions and padding seem nice and comfy and my child seems perfectly happy in the seat. The car seat was pretty easy to install, although I had a very hard time getting the LATCH connection tight enough. It was harder to install than an infant car seat base because the seat only partially comes off the base for installation, but similar to any other convertible seat. One downside to be aware of - the rotation feature makes the seat wider than some other convertible car seats. I previously had a convertible car seat in the middle position and an infant seat on the driver's side, but in replacing the infant seat with this one, I had to move the second car seat over to the passenger side - there isn't enough space to fit both next to each other. This might be fairly typical with convertible seats that aren't especially narrow. It's great to know that this car seat will last us a long time! It actually seems a little small to me, my toddler is on the small side of average and looks big in this seat. I was amazed! I really wanted to upgrade his car seat but at the time, the price point was way too high. Enter the Safety 1st Turn &amp; Go 360 DLX Rotating All-in-One Convertible Car Seat. It's about the same cost as other convertible seats with the added 360 rotating feature! Getting a wiggly (and big baby) into a rear facing car seat is hard, I either hurt my back or bumped his head. We recently turned him to forward face and that made it a bit easier, but I love (love!) the rotating feature. So does my toddler! He willing climbs into the seat and on the days when I need to lift him in, it's soo much easier. I have installed (and re-installed) at least 5 different car seats in the short 3 years of my son's life. This one is easy to install with a seat belt. Bonus it can rear-face or forward-face with the same install. There are green indicators that take the guess work out of the install - it's tight enough when they are green and you're done. The chest clip is magnet so my toddler can clip himself in (and again it turns green when locked!) A small but often overlooked feature are the cup holders - they are large enough to fit the bigger water bottles and are easy to remove for cleaning. A few things to note - it's a tank. This seat is heavy, I needed help to lift the box when it arrived. The bottom buckle seems a bit narrow. I already moved it to the 3rd slot. As with many car seats, you cannot use a seat protector underneath of it. Lastly, I haven't tried to install with latch since you have to remove the latch strap and weave it through. It seemed more difficult than just using the seat belt! TLDR: Pros: Easy install, It rotates!, large cup holders, magnetic chest clip Cons: It's heavy! you can't use a seat protector (although this is common), latch isn't as easy to use. The install was more difficult than most seats since we have to use the seat belt lock instead of the LATCH system. It's never fun to install a car seat in 90 degree heat so that added to the difficulty but with my husbands help, we successfully installed it in about 15 mins. The base feels VERY secure and doesn't move, however the seat part has more movement than I want and more than other car seats. Both the install and movement are the reasons for 4 stars instead of 5. I love the overall feel of the seat and padding and it feels like it will be very comfy for my guy. I also love how the cup holders are easily removable for washing and the whole cover of the seat is supposed to be easily removed and washed as well. The overall size is really good as well and doesn't take up a lot of overall seat space. There's still plenty of room between this seat and my daughters booster seat for an adult to sit comfortably. I believe this one will be a great fit until my son needs a regular booster seat and appears that it would easily work for an infant as well so it should be a lifetime car seat if used from newborn onward. Unfortunately I do not feel confident that the Safety 1st Turn &amp; Go 360 DLX Rotating All-in-One Convertible Car Seat would protect my children in the event of a car accident. The 360 rotation was poorly executed. The car seat got stuck 3 out of the 5 times that I tried it. The seat itself (not the base) shifts &amp; moves even though it is locked in place. What worries me is in forward facing harness mode the head portion of the car seat is held to the base by these two small c-shaped metal pieces. So since there is so much movement in the seat the two c-shaped areas aren't flush &amp; in the event of an accident I don't feel confident it would hold together properly. I'm so glad Safety 1st provided an online installation video tutorial. The flipping the car seat off the base but the car seat is still connected threw me off in the instruction manual. I installed the car seat in the second row captain chair of a 2022 Toyota Van. When I flipped the car seat it kept falling between the two chairs causing the base to move a lot. I do however feel confident that I installed the car seat correctly. I don't believe this car seat could handle 10 yrs of use. Some of the plastic feels thin/flimsy &amp; the springs used in the handles don't look strong enough. The fact that it got stuck the few times I tried the rotation makes me believe it couldn't handle daily use of this feature. Another area that lacks in this design are the removable cup holders. They are a joke! My 3yo took them off within minutes of his first ride. Getting my child in &amp; out of the car wasn't any easier with this particular car seat compared to a more traditional convertible seat. What I did like was the amount of padding on the car seat &amp; shoulder straps. My favorite feature was the quick close magnetic chest clip. It gives you the best angle to put baby in the seat and make all the necessary adjustments to ensure baby's comfort and safety. I absolutely LOVE that I do not have to uninstall and reinstall to go from rear-facing to forward-facing. This feature alone is worth it. * The padding is ample, feels soft, and looks quite comfortable. * Cup holders are a must for me. Cup holders that are easily removable and dishwasher safe are a huge bonus. * Installation was quick and easy. (TIP: Read the manual and watch the video.) Having the red/green indicators really does add peace-of-mind to help you KNOW the installation is correct. * I love the magnetic chest clip and that it has the red/green indicator as well. CONS: * I will say this seat is VERY heavy and for that reason I wouldn't recommend it if you need to switch it often between vehicles. * Be mindful that this seat only has 5 recline settings in rear-facing mode. The seat MUST be fully reclined to rotate into forward-facing mode and once it's in forward-facing mode the reclining feature is locked off. (It does rotate upwards in forward-facing so the seat is sitting more upright but there is no way to adjust the recline in forward-facing mode.) * Although the seat does rotate smoothly, I have had a few instances were I have a difficult time getting the seat out of the locked position. (This may be a learning curve on my part though.) All things considered I love this Safety 1st Turn &amp; Go 360 DLX rotating seat and would definitely recommend it. It has made traveling faster, easier, smoother, better. Baby loves it too and if baby loves it, mama loves it. I love that this car seat swivels, however it was hard to push the release button at first. However, it has gotten easier with practice. Car seat install was easy, and we loved that there was video directions to follow. We have moved the car seat twice and were able to do that easily. Overall we love this car seat and are very impressed. My baby enjoys it and seems happy to be in the car seat. The swivel is a huge perk and was something I didn't think I needed until I got this car seat.. it's a must have! If I were to change anything it would be the release button for the swivel and the part that is seated against the seat. Unfortunately there is a piece that sticks out where the seatbelt connects (see picture.) When your child is rear facing they kick that spot and it could potentially hurt their feet if they were kicking hard enough. I installed the base using the latch system and it was somewhat difficult as I had to lift the car seat off the base and flip it over&mdash;which was heavy but I knew I installed the seat correctly thanks to the green indicator light. Reclining the seat is a breeze and I like that I have multiple position options for my infant's comfort. Overall, this is a great, convenient carseat that will grow with my infant as he gets older which is a bonus. The idea behind it is brilliant! We have a pick up that's fairly tall, I've always struggled to get baby girl in and out of the truck because of the rear facing orientation of her seat. The thought of turning her to the side makes me leap with joy. However, when we received the carseat and went to install it, we quickly noticed many annoying and unsafe qualities to this seat. The first is simply an annoyance but to install the seat you have to remove the seat itself from the base. Funny part is the seat is literally bolted to the base so good luck finding a convenient place to &quot;lean it&quot; out of your way. The weight of the seat doesn't make it any easier to maneuver into the car to begin install. Once we fought it into the vehicle and got it installed, we turned the seat to rear facing and it immediately disengaged the seat belt lock bar, making the seat totally uninstalled. We reread the instructions and tried again with the same result. My husband mentioned that he could disengage the seat belt lock bar by simply tugging on it slightly. What a terrifying discovery! The seat belt lock bar was completely malfunctioning and it had never even been used. I am so grateful my child never actually rode in this seat and I would not recommend it to anyone. I will say that the safety first customer service and safety team was very friendly and easy to work with. The seat has been shipped to them for further investigation and testing. The car seat arrived in a large box and as I opened it, there were QR codes to scan that took me directly to an installation video. The videos were so helpful while installing the car seat and made me feel comfortable that I was doing it properly. The base of the car seat is unlike others that I have installed but I was shocked by how secure it felt. I felt very comfortable knowing my child was going into a seat that was securely latched and anchored. The 360 turning is something I am not used to but think it could be helpful to others. My child is 15 months old and rear facing so the turning isn't as easy with his long legs. I also found that the latch to unlock the turning was difficult for me to do, my husband didn't have this issue. My favorite feature about this car seat is that it grows with my son. He will be able to use this seat for many years. Once he is able to be forward facing, we can rotate the seat. The back also grows with him as well to make sure it keeps up with his height requirements. Overall, I really enjoy this seat. I think my son is very comfortable with the cushions and seating and the cup holders are easily accessible to him and if they get messy we can throw them in our dishwasher for easy cleaning! The seatbelt harness for him is very straight forward with a magnet clip top and buckle at the bottom of the harness. I found the magnet clip at his chest was slightly hard for me to undo as well.
