When I first opened up the car seat, I was slightly worried about the size. Rotating car seats are slightly bigger, however this safety 1st car seat did not have a much larger fit in my car. It was easy to install (took about 20 minutes) and you could tell it's a secure fit in the car that you will feel comfortable with. Being able to turn the car seat provides easier access for you and your child. Our daughter loved being able to face us as we placed her in the seat. The swivel feature she had found very entertaining. This is a car seat she actually looks forward to getting into. You can also feel how comfortable the fabric is on the entire car seat, inclusive of the straps which is not something many car seats focus on additional comfort around. Upon first view, it is a very nice looking seat and it took about the same amount of effort to install as every other car seat we have ever had (not easy - not hard). It seems pretty sturdy and is easy to use. I tried both our infant, 2, and 4 year old in it to see the difference and it seems comfortable for all of them and not difficult to switch between the different ages. It's hard to say if I could use it for 10 years just because I don't have a child even close to that size. The rotation is great for an infant who is rear facing, and definitely makes it easier to get them in and out. I don't find a rotation necessary for children who are forward facing though as it is already easy enough to get them in and out. I could see it being difficult to clean, but I've never owned a single car seat that is easy to clean. Overall I think this car seat is nice and the idea of the rotation is amazing. But, the installation was more difficult than my other traditional Graco seats. I unfortunately wasn't able to rotate the seat myself. I always felt like the lever would click in but I was unable to turn it. I felt like I was jerking the seat and base when I tried to rotate it. My husband was able to rotate it but he said it felt like it took a lot of effort. Which I think it should so that the seat is safe and in place when not rotated, so I understand why it takes some effort to rotate. I appreciate the multiple modes and that the seat could last 10 years and if taken care of I could totally see the seat holding up well because it is good quality. My favorite feature of the seat is the idea that it can rotate but it just didn't work that well for me personally. I also think the seat seems very comfortable, it is definitely more cushioned than my other car seats. I thought I'd want it just for getting the kiddo in the car, and that is definitely great. I currently have 2 kids (1 rear/1 forward facing), and for the grandparents car, since they often drive one kid, they could keep just this installed and swing it around depending on which kid they have. I could see times where I could switch the seat just to load 1 on the sidewalk rather than the street. This seat was a bit harder to install because of removing the seat part, but the videos help a lot and once installed I feel very confident that it was done correctly because there are so many safety directions and indicators. There is a red/green to show the belt is tightened, a tether indicator and the spinner picture shows when it's locked. I like the pocket for the latch buckle when not in use too. The fabric looks more luxurious, than online I think (more texture/shine) and is very soft. It's easy to remove and wash/dry, which is important as you will be keeping it for so long. Same for the removable cup holders, very easy to remove and replace. There is also a sticky fabric on the back of the shoulder pads, keeping them from slipping, or little hands moving them. I also like that the straps can be tucked back to the side very easily, when placing the kiddo in. My favorite feature is the magical chest strap. The magnetic clasp allows you to clip it easily, even one handed. It also lets my &quot;do it myself&quot; 2 year old clip it easily. However to open it, it's a different mechanism and I don't think a kiddo could do on their own, while still quite easy for an adult to do one handed. My only reservation is if you are doing extended rear facing, it does have a recline in the rear facing mode that may be a bit reclined for an older toddler. My favorite feature is the green indicator on the chest clip that lets you know that the clip is correctly&nbsp;locked into place.&nbsp;This is the first car seat&nbsp;I've seen with that feature and I found it really reassuring&nbsp;to let me know it's&nbsp;secured, especially&nbsp;when my son does it himself.&nbsp;&nbsp;I also like being able to turn the&nbsp;seat 90 degrees to get my kid out of the car. The only downside is that rotating&nbsp;the seat is a two handed task - you need to pull on the seat at the armrest while also pulling the release&nbsp;handle at the same time. It would be better if you could rotate the seat one-handed. But it's still a great feature!&nbsp; This car seat has a seat belt tension guide built into the base which turns green when you have enough tension to the seat belt, which is a good baseline indicator. I still needed to apply extra tension to the seat to have the base fully secured in my car without any wiggling. The other difficulty&nbsp;with installation is that the directions assume this will be the only car seat in your car - it requires you to flip the seat itself onto the empty seat beside you while you are threading the seat belt. I found this step difficult&nbsp;because&nbsp;I had nowhere&nbsp;to place the seat while I was on this step due to having another car seat in the car for my other child. I had to maneuver&nbsp;around the seat to reach the seat belt zone in order to secure the base. I am confident after getting all that squared away the car seat was installed correctly. I do see this car seat&nbsp;being great for growing along with my kid. The 360 ability is nice because once your kid is big enough to be forward&nbsp;facing you don't need to take the seat out of the car to reposition it into forward seating, you just spin it. It took my husband about 10 mins to install this seat into our minivan. It is sturdy and secure and we immediately felt comfortable loading our child into it. Some seats that we've tried, we've been a little unsure that we did it correctly or it didn't seem totally secure. With this seat, it was easy to know exactly what to do and how to install. I think the design will hold up well and the fabric seems to be easy to clean, though I haven't washed it yet. I Love the snap on the chest clip! It was so convenient and makes loading quicker. The one downside that i've found with this seat is a strange piece that sticks out when the seat is rear facing. It's rough and sticks out right where the baby's legs are. It is still new, so time will tell if that continues to be an issue for us. Overall, I really like the car seat. We love the sleek simple look. This was my first time trying a rotating car seat, and I was stoked. I was hoping by being able to rotate the car seat towards met back would be saved and life would be a bit easier. However, the locking mechanism of the Safety 1st Turn &amp; Go 360 DLX Rotating All-in-One Convertible Car Seat felt clunky and the handle was difficult to use. I decided to use Safety 1st Turn &amp; Go 360 DLX Rotating All-in-One Convertible Car Seat for my 5 year old first. Removing the seat from the base was a breeze and securing the case with the seatbelt was incredibly easy as well. I knew the base was properly installed by the green indicators. I adjusted the seat to fit my 5 year old son and tried to rotate him towards me- forget it. The seat was difficult to turn with him in it, and his legs were practically kicking me when I turned him towards me. He said the seat was comfortable at least. I think the rotating feature is best for toddlers/babies. Next I put my 2 year old in the seat. She is still rear facing so I turned the car seat around and secure again with the seatbelt. Super easy and straight forward, and I feel confident securing the seat both forward and rear facing. I turned the seat towards me and out my daughter in. Again, the locking mechanism is clunky. The handle to turn the seat was difficult to use. Maybe with practice I wouldn't feel so frustrated with turning the seat. My daughter also seemed comfortable in the seat, but figured out how to take the cup holders out quickly, which isn't great. I do think I would be able to use this car seat for 10 years, but I don't think i would use the rotation feature. The seat is easy to install, and the manual instructions are very clear. The car seat even had green indicators when it's properly installed. The seat is all heavy and very sturdy- I feel like my children would be safe in it. I also missed having the built in pockets to slip the straps into so I could keep them out of the seat when putting my child into the seat. The absolute best thing about this car seat is how easy it is to install well on your own. I have installed an infant seat and a convertible seat and it always takes 2 of us to get it tight, I even had to take the convertible seat to a car seat safety expert to get it installed tightly. But this seat I installed completely on my own and it won't budge a single bit using the seat belt to install and the locking bar that gets it even tighter. I love that the base turns green when it's tight enough so I feel even more confident about my son's safety, which is my top priority. The 360 degree feature is so nice for me to get my heavy, wiggly toddler in the seat easier. I also love the chest buckle on this seat. It's magnetic so no more pinched fingers when your kids want to help buckle themselves in. This car seat is on the heavier side, so it would not be one I would use if I had to move the carseat into different cars often. The turning feature does also need quite a bit of space to turn, so if you have front seats that are close to your backseat, this may not work well as a rear facing seat. We have 4 kiddos, ages 1, 5, 9, and 12 and we've certainly been through our fair share of baby gear throughout the last decade, all different brands and price points, so I was happy to find this seat had so many benefits! First, installation was a breeze. We tested both the seatbelt and the latch system, and both were simple and straightforward with handy little red/green indicators to ensure proper installation. I wasn't worried at all if the seat was safely secured. The seat is bulky, but my car (Honda Pilot) had plenty of room, even with the front row seat pushed back and no issues with sibling booster seats being installed next to it. I love that the initial installation stays the same, regardless which mode you want to use the seat, which makes transitions that much easier! Next up is the click and turn feature. I love the idea of twisting the seat to put baby in/get baby out, especially with my short 5ft frame, but I did find the release difficult to get with one hand most times. Not ideal with a baby on one hip! As a result, I wouldn't chose this seat based on this feature solely, as it didn't seem to work as easily as intended. When it did work, it was very convenient and much easier than trying to hunch over and wrangle my toddler in though. Bonus benefits: -removable cup holders (where have these been all my parenting life?! I hadn't ever given Safety First much of a look, maybe because I didn't know anyone who had them, and I think my impression of the brand is that they were a more bare-bones value brand. However, when I received this car seat as a part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel I was very pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the car seat and it completely changed my mind about the kind of brand Safety First is. I had been very intrigued by the rotating concept, and I mostly think it's a genius invention. I feel as if being able to turn my 8 month old toward me allows me to ensure his harness is fastened securely every time. I do think the mechanism to rotate the seat is a little difficult to do, but once you get the hang of it it isn't so bad. I LOVE the magnetic chest clip. In past car seats the chest clip was always a point of frustration, but this was snaps together and feels so secure. The padding feels very luxurious, but it also added some challenges with getting the right fit for the baby. The shoulder pads in particular require a little bit of a learning curve to work with (they don't appear to be detachable) I also love that the cup holders are easily removable and dishwasher safe. It was by far the easiest install of any car seat I have owned. I got it into my car in less than 5 minutes and I feel very confident about how secure it is. We used to have to battle to awkwardly put him in his old car seat, but having the option to face the seat towards us and simply sit him in it has been a game changer. He no longer fights the car seat and he actually thinks it's a fun game we play when we rotate him back and forth, he gets the cutest smile. This alone basically makes this seat worthwhile! Installation was very straightforward and easy, though I felt the first time I did it the buttons all changed to &quot;Green&quot; (indicating it was done correctly) but the seat still felt like it moved around more than I would like. I reinstalled more firmly and now feel more comfortable with it, but just wanted to highlight that, make sure it doesn't move around too much even if all the indicators are green. I also found it awkward to install when there's a second car seat installed in the backseat. I would recommend installing this one first (so the back seat is clear) and then any other car seats. The seat itself feels fairly substantial, which I like from a safety standpoint. The added cushions (which are required for rear facing) feel soft and comfy and my son seems very comfortable. I didn't notice many reviewers having difficulty with rotating the seat; I struggled at first. I had to really squeeze the handle hard, grab on near the cup holder, and put a lot of force in to twist it towards me. It's since gotten easier but maybe I've just gotten used to it. It's not a simple easy twirl to get it to move from the locked rear facing position, though again I suppose that's a plus from a safety standpoint. Overall we are really happy with this seat and so glad not to have car seat battles anymore! I just docked one star because I really did find it a little tough to swivel from a locked position. Due to its weight it is not a car seat I plan on moving from one car to another. Although my daughter is almost two, I loved the added cushions and support that would be used for an infant, making this a great option for a car seat to use from birth. The magnetic closures were very easy to manipulate and they make for a quick lock/unlock and go! I am really impressed with the fabric; being very soft and removable to clean is definitely an added bonus. The removable cup holders are great as well! The one area I am a little disappointed in is the rotation feature. I was so excited to try this out as my child can be a bit of a handful to get into the car seat and moves around a lot, making it quite a struggle at times. The rotation feature worked great when trying it out prior to placing it in the car; however, once installed it became a little difficult and hard to squeeze and turn. I find that it is easier to maneuver without her in the seat, so it may be easier with a lighter or younger child. Cons: - Maybe I'm doing it wrong but the &quot;one handed&quot; swivel takes me two hands. The latch to allow the car seat to swivel is decently tough for me to squeeze which isn't super convenient. However, it's still better than lifting them in sideways into a traditional car seat. - I also have a 2.5 year old son who rides rear facing. This seat will not work for him until he is ready to go forward facing. There is a bottom/back cushion that must be used for any child rear facing. My son is 31 pounds. The rear facing limit is 40 pounds so he should still be able to ride rear facing. However, with the bottom/back cushion insert in, the crotch buckle is underneath him. There is a third slot for the crotch buckle but the manual says not to use that slot for rear facing. It seems like there may be a period of time that this car seat is unusable in its 10 year period. I could, of course, switch him to forward facing, but it's safest to max out rear facing, so that's what we're doing. Overall, the pros outweigh the cons, especially if you have multiple kids and can switch to a different rear facing car seat for the period of time when this one doesn't work. If you are using the Latch option I recommend having the pull strap pull toward the outside of the car so you can get maximum leverage to secure it. I like to sit on the base in order to tightly install it. The design is clean with many great details. I like how the cupholders have a rubber top making it easier for my little one to pull his drink in and out of the holder. I would have preferred black material to hide the inevitable stains the car seat will get. The gray aesthetically looks nice though. There are rubber traction strips underneath the shoulder harness pads. It helps to keep the pads in place when I am pulling the belt tight. The height of the car seat is easy to adjust. The chest buckle is magnetic. I little confusing at first but it is a nice feature. The buckles often find themselves on their own. They are easy to unbuckle with one hand if you need to. Underneath there is an anchor belt storage pocket. Such a smart idea for easy storage. The different levers to maneuver the car seat are in easy to reach locations and are well labeled. The one to rotate the car seat is difficult for me to depress with one finger like they show in the informational video. It hasn't been an issue though, I just figured out another way that works best for me. Turning the carseat around has a smooth and secure rolling system. With the rear facing child behind the passenger seat my partner's knees touch the dash. My partner isn't able to drive if the rear facing child is behind him either. Normally this would make the setup impossible, I for one am not looking to swap seats out constantly. But with how easy it is to turn the seats around I can swap my kids between two 360s as car passengers change. If im alone with the kids I put the rear facing kid behind the passenger so i have more room. If my husband is with us, i switch them the other way. The seats don't have to move from their buckles. Foremost among them is being able to swivel the car seat to the side to more easily put your child in and out of the car. The magnetic buckle clip was really easy to use once I figured out was direction it needed to be pulled (towards your body and not out to the side). The installation is, however, very cumbersome. I wouldn't recommend buying this car seat if you ever plan on taking it out in any regular intervals. You must detach the car seat from the base, but not all the way, as it stays tethered to the base by two wires. There is only 5 recline settings for rear facing and you must have the car seat fully reclined only for forward facing. There is no bevel or numbers indicating how reclined it is, so it's something you have to count yourself. There is a small picture on the side that shows if the car seat is in a locked position after rotating it, but it's so minimal, it would never catch your eye as a good safety measure. This has taken me a lot of getting used to and admittedly, I'm still not quite used to it, nor a fan of that feature. Otherwise, I do think the seat is secure and can be utilized for several years, which is key. The install was fairly easy compared to some other seats I have dealt with. The belt lockoff clamp with seatbelt installation was straightforward and made it easy to get a tight install. It also has red/green indicators that tell you when it is snug. The flipping over of the entire seat (attached by cables to the base) for install could be tricky to complete in a compact vehicle or on a bench seat that already has other car seats installed, but it was not hard. The 360 function of the seat is an interesting idea, but I found it to be more of a hindrance than a help with a 22 month old. Her legs were too long and would get wedged if I did not smush them in toward her torso, which she was not a fan of. Personally, I would probably only use the rotation function if I had a small infant whose feet did not hang out over the edge of the seat. That said, with the added rotate function, I could see some parents completely opting out of a traditional infant carrier and going straight to this seat. It can be used for infants all the way up to booster seat (100 pounds). It would also be a great option for people who use one seat for differently sized kids with the quick sizing adjustments and switch from rear to forward facing. I instead secured the car seat with the vehicle seat belt and it worked perfectly. What is nice about this car seat is that it comes with a tension indicator that tells you if there is proper tension with either the seat belt or anchors. The tension indicator gave me confidence that I installed the seat properly. The swivel feature is AMAZING! I drive an SUV and I'm 5'2 so being able to rotate the seat made placing my toddler in the car seat a breeze! I never would have thought that such a simple concept would make a daily task so easy! I wish this seat would've been around when I was creating my baby registry. The buckle on the chest is also really easy to clip on and off and it also has a green indicator to let you know it is properly secured. My toddler also has his days when he refuses to get in the car seat, but after using the swivel car seat, he is excited to go in the car because he says the car seat is a roller coaster. I highly recommend this product. We were excited with the swivel feature as we thought it would be easier to get our rear facing kiddo in and out of the car. However, the time necessary to swivel the carseat essentially negates any time or ease advantages it provides. By the time we swiveled the carseat, it was just as easy to dump our kiddo into the seat like we always had done. Further, both my wife and I have large SUVs, yet even still, felt like the carseat was too large and took up too much space. The swivel feature seems to add so much unnecessary bulk to the carseat - I can't imagine this seat fitting well in a smaller car. Outside of the inconvenience of the swivel and the cumbersome size, the carseat itself was easy to install and overall felt high quality.
