<span itemprop="description">The snail is extremely cute and I like its use for sleep time and routine. However,
(a) it is extremely inflexible. You can’t set it to do the sleep setting for a couple hours and then turn off and do the wake up setting in the morning. The only option is to program it to go all night, and then manually turn it off every night.
(b) if you set it to only do the nap setting on eg weekends, it goes off on weekdays anyway. There’s no way to tell it what day it is or confirm it’s on the right calendar.
(c) it just. won’t. connect. Mine says “out of range or powered off” when I’m sitting right next to it and it’s glowing and playing sounds. I sit in my sleeping child’s room every night trying to get it to connect so I can make any changes. It’s incredibly frustrating. I’ve already had to delete everything, delete the device, delete the app, delete my account, start all over and reprogram everything once (after it worked for one whole day after setup) and I really don’t want to have to do that again but it would be nice to be able to actually make changes to the routines.
Final verdict, very cute and my toddler likes it but it needs a lot of work and actually trying to use it drives me crazy.</span>

Then in very tiny letters in white on a red background and almost IMPOSSIBLE to see, I read only compatible with iPhone. I'm ok with it being only for iPhone but for the love of God, put a prominent warning on it so we don't waste our time and money!!!</span>

I was originally going to use it for my 4 month old but decided to switch out my 3 year old son’s Hatch for this one so we could utilize the routine features. We just transitioned my son from nap time to rest time and the routines feature has really helped him to adjust to his new routine. The Hatch has routine songs it seems like whereas the Skip Hop has simple phrases to help your child clearly understand what’s expected of them. Plus, you have to pay for the Hatch routine songs. The app is pretty easy to use. I love all of the different color options as well. The only thing I think could be better is the quality of the speaker.</span>

There’re 13 sound options to choose from (including white noose, waves, birdsong and several melodies both calm and playful). Sound level is easy to manage. The light feature is also versatile. My little one is fascinated with the ability to change light color and pattern. Be aware that you’ll need to download an app and pair your snail with your phone via bluetooth in order to use all the features. Without your phone you can only switch the device on/off and change sound level/light intensity but not the color or sound option. The routine features is also available via app only. It’s pretty easy to manage and helps to establish a routine for your little one.
Overall it’s a great device well worth its cost. The major downside for me is the snail needs to be plugged in all the time. I would give 5 stars if it was battery operated.</span>

It can play different rain sounds and soft music during nap & bedtime. And the best part is it can be controlled all on your phone !</span>

We have another machine similar to this, but it’s not anywhere near as bright as visually appealing as this one. The app downloaded fast and the snail connected to my phone so fast and easily. The different sound it has I also like that you can change the lighting appearances or the modes of it, whatever you call it, so that it can sparkle or light at a certain pattern. I also like the different routine settings. This snail sound and routine machine is a lot more laid out and has a lot more settings and details than our current sound machine so I think we’re going to retire the old sound machine to grandma 😂🫶🏽 thank you for letting us try this. We love it so much I really appreciate it. I’m so thankful for anything that we get for our baby and although she can’t really appreciate it too much right now she does enjoy looking at it and she tries to eat the snail, so there are no complaints here we love it! 💕🥰</span>

<span itemprop="description">[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Would have loved to review and have a genuine true review unfortunately the product I received may have been defective as it will not turn on at all I tried the usb cord provided and several wall pieces I own I also tried hooking it up to my laptop and computer port to make sure and I had no luck I bought a usb port cord also no luck I tried everything I could with no success
Sorry for not having a good review but seems like a neat device if it would have worked you can control it with an app

The snail color changing is adorable and calming, the sound choices are varied, and the app is great and user friendly. My only complaint so far is the sound option, since this is on my sons nightstand, I want the shushing sound faint enough to where it doesn’t disturb us in the rooms nearby and we don’t have a large house, so I’m even on the lowest setting I can still hear it. But other than that, I love it!</span>

<span itemprop="description">[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Smart Snail is adorable and my daughter was so excited to have a nightlight and sound machine in one device. The light feature is super cute, it has a lot of different colored lights and even multicolored options. The brightness can be adjusted from very dim to moderately bright. The sound feature is nice with several soothing sounds like birds and chimes as well as lullaby songs. The wave sound didn’t really sound like waves and the standard white noise sounds were a bit off as well.
Set up for this product was very frustrating and took way longer than anticipated. For about 5 minutes, every time I got to the “naming” screen nothing would happen and then the snail would disconnect but also needed to be hard reset because it said it was already registered. Finally it randomly worked but then needed a firmware update that took several minutes and some extra effort.
The app feature of timers could be nice for some instances like cleaning up the bedroom and speeding up bedtime routines, but the sleep feature was too confusing. I prefer to just leave the snail on at all times with the light and sound activated.
I also was frustrated that this doesn’t come on with a plug to plug into an outlet. It comes with a usb cord that still requires an additional adapter. It seems silly that it wouldn’t just come with the necessary equipment to make it function.
Overall, I think this device has some nice feature but fell short. But my daughter loves the colorful lights and the snail is super cute on her dresser but could have more user friendly functionality.</span>

I got this to try to help her understand more that it’s not time to get up yet. This has worked perfectly! The app is easy to download and use. It has different ways we can customize our use of it. We have started using it to help make bedtime routine more easy. My favorite function though is that we can have it stay one color for when she’s supposed to stay in bed and change colors when it’s ok to get up in the morning. This has helped keep her from getting up at 4:00 A.M. anymore and has helped us all sleep better.</span>
