<span itemprop="description">The suction stops working well after a few months. I can put it on the highest setting and nothing happens. All parts have been replaced. Used to be quiet now it’s loud. Researched everything that can be done and nothing fixes the issue. Will work well one session and then the next stop. I would not recommend unless you like carrying around two pumps so you have a back up for when your sonata fails.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I bought the Sonata yo complement DL for my second LO born in May. The pump worked great for the first 7 months. Right around Christmas, the battery refused to hold charge. Each charge would only lasts for about 39 mins pump. 2-3 weeks in now and each charge will only hold for 5-10 mins of pumping session. This is completely unacceptable considering the price of the Sonata! I travel a lot so this pump has become a hindrance and it’s really interfering with my pumping schedule because I can now only pump when I am near a socket point!</span>

<span itemprop="description">I recently gave birth to y second child. With the first child I was able to pump once I returned to work using the Medela pump in style. It worked perfectly for the time that I used it. The second go around I decided to try a different style and went with the Sonata. I thought about it a long time before pulling the trigger on such an expensive item, but I am so glad I did. It is so quiet and luxurious...I had no idea what I was missing. The portability is also so very handy. I have been back to work one week and I am super happy with the purchase. I have not really used the smartphone function yet. Also I was able to purchase this pump as an “upgrade” since my insurance did not cover the entire amount of this model. The remaining balance I was able to take care of with my health savings account. I do agree with the previous review about the bag. I actually really like the bag it comes with, but I am not able to fit the assembled pump parts in with the pump and cooler.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Spent the money on a hospital grade pump and have never been so disappointed. It worked for about a month but now has stopped. I did all troubleshooting and take VERY good care of my pump and parts. I have been clogged numerous times and now have mastitis for the 2nd time. I should of listened to my friends and got the spectra for way cheaper. At least then I could have ordered a replacement for less then the price of this one. So unbelievably upset as a first time mom.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I purchased the Sonata breast pump 6 months ago directly from the hospital, started using it 5 months ago and now it no longer holds a charge and at times if it isn’t plugged in it won’t even turn on. I bought this pump because I thought the wireless feature was going to be helpful. The Bluetooth feature is hit & miss, sometimes it records my session and other times I’ll check my app later and see that I have to do a manual entry because my last session didn’t save for some reason. It’s unfortunate because this pump is pretty expensive and has cool features if they actually worked properly. I’m highly disappointed.</span>

Great suction, the ability to be portable was awesome! I was hoping with the hefty price tag (insurance didn't cover) it would last more than one child. However it did not, and the warranty does not cover past one year so now I am stuck having to purchase an entirely new pump. Extremely disappointed because the pump worked great... until it didn't and conveniently was no longer under warrantee. My pump needs a new battery all other aspects work, but there is no option to replace without purchasing an entirely new pump.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Bought the Sonata a month ago and have been using it twice daily while nursing other times and so far have been satisfied with it. The pump is very quiet. It has a timer and syncs to your phone through the Medela app. Which by the way, the app is great too! It gives so much feedback through your pumping sessions. The parts to the pump are easy to use and to put together is a breeze. The only downfall is the terrible, funny looking bag it comes with. I will be heading to work next month and will be using a bag to carry all my pumping items. The bag will not hold it all (pump parts, pump, cooler, tablet, extra items). I did talk to a rep if they can sell me the tote that comes with the pump in style but they said they cannot do that. I think Medela needs to make the tote the same for all pumps. Just saying.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I can't recommend this pump to anyone. I love the look and features of the whole set. It worked great at first, until I tried using it without it being plugged in. It is always fully charged, but cuts off in less than 5 minutes. Sometimes, it won't even turn on if it's not plugged in. Now, the suction is not what it used to be. Wish I could get a replacement, but somehow my pregnant brain lost the receipt. Pump has only been used a few months and I'm pretty sure it's about to die on me. Guess I'm just stuck with it.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I bought this because of the portability factor, but the battery life lasts for only 2.5 sessions and there is no option for charging on the go. It has to be plugged into an outlet to charge. Less expensive pumps by Medela CAN be charged in the car, so that has been a big pain and disappointment.
Since this is the only electric pump I've ever owned, I'm not sure if others are the same, but the milk storage bottles, while attached to the pump parts, spill SO easily. The bottom of the bottles are rounded, making them tip at a sneeze. Plus, if they somehow get knocked over while still attached to everything, milk spills all over. In other words, there's no seal to protect the milk supply.
This pump was really expensive and I don't think I'd buy it again if I had the choice.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I wanted this pump so badly! I talked about it for months, my insurance covered a PISA but my coworkers gave me a special shower to get me this pump. I love that the pump is quiet and portable. The battery life is ok. I hate that the parts are not interchangeable with other Medela parts and the bottle can come loose from the connector. A lot of milk also gets left in the connector so I have to take the extra step of taking them apart and shaking the milk into the bottle.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I just had it after returning symphony. The experience with sonata is not as quiet or smooth as symphony offered, but I didn’t expect it to be as good as symphony. After using it around 4 times, fair to speak, it really did a decent job in pumping. However, the display really bothers me not only because of the blurry clock. The clock part, I can still tolerate it and make a guess. But, I have no way to guess my battery percentage. No matter how full my battery is charged or down to the point automatically shuts down, it is always showing full on the display. It is to say it is missing the function of checking battery percentage. It force me to check on my cellphone, but the Bluetooth is not connecting slow and sometimes cannot be connected to the phone. :/</span>

<span itemprop="description">I am a labor and delivery nurse. I drive an hour and 20 minutes one way to work was hoping to use this pump on my drive. I have not yet gone back to work so I haven't had a chance to test out how well the battery charge works yet, but will start trying it out with a charge without being plugged into the wall to see how long the battery holds up. After reading the reviews about the battery not holding a charge well I am worried I will not actually be able to use it the way I intended to for my drives into and from work.
Also the LED screen numbers only light up part of the numbers at times with the screen aleady not working well on day two of using this pump I'm worried what else will not work well?
Also can you tell me is there a car adapter available for this pump so that I can plug it into the car for if or when the charged battery stops working? I have milk supply issues and I can't risk not getting my milk out on time I am really counting on being able to use this pump primarily in the car and need to know I will be able to rely on it.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I'm exclusive pumper since my baby doesn't latch. I've had this for 4 months and battery has not been holding it's charge for the past 2 months. It was good until the battery stopped holding the charge. Getting replacement parts is also a hassle. I just need to replace the tubing, but it's not sold separately. Will not purchasing a whole kit just get a new tube. My insurance doesn't cover this pump. Luckily I have my other pump from my insurance to use which has been a better pump than the medela.</span>

Based on talking with coworkers and friends, I knew I wanted a pump that was easy to use, reliable, and quick. The Sonata is all of these. I only need to pump about 15 minutes each session which will be helpful when I return to work. I also love the 2 different pumping rhythms to mix it up and make sure I am getting the most out of pumping. I also really like the blue tooth on it to link to the app and track my pumping status.</span>

I’ve had other pumps before and I don’t think none of them have been able to do what the Sonata does, the pump itself is heavy but luckily I don’t really take it places since I mostly use it at home. The battery does last me about 4-5 pumps before I have to charge it which is nice! I also do love that I can easily pause my session and then continue on with a simple push of a button! This is great for moms who are mostly home I feel like and have time to sit and pump or moms that need a more durable pump, definitely worth the money!</span>

<span itemprop="description">I like that this pump comes with a nice bag to carry it in and it is super portable. the rechargeable batter lasts longer than batteries with my old pump and I can pump anywhere with this model. Its nice an quiet.</span>

I love that this pump has great suction, a timer, has automatic stimulation and expression phases (and remembers your settings), and most of all, that it connects to your phone to make entering pumping seasons super simple. It’s also much quieter than my previous pump (Hygeia Enjoye). And as a bonus, it looks super cool!</span>

<span itemprop="description">PROS: I love the rechargble battery feature however it never fully charges to 100% but only 96%. I’m only able to get about three to four 15-20min sessions. Not ideal to be too far away from a plug bc I pump every 2 hours. I also love the Bluetooth and app for tracking purposes.
CONS: The parts are much heavier and you definitely need to purchase the bustier in order to be confidently hands free. The clunky parts compared to the Pump In style, I feel like it traps more milk that is hard to salvage. Every drop counts for me bc I’m not blessed with volume. Overall, although much quieter than the Pump In Style, for me, I have not noticed a difference in comfort or the amount of milk expressed.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I bought the Sonata Medela, at the beginning it was easy to use and (heavy) but convenient. After 5 months of use, the battery stopped working unless it was connected to the charger. Since I dont live in the US, I couldnt use the one-year warranty. (For such an expensive product, one year is nothing)
I had to buy a another Sonata pump for my second pregnancy and after less than a month of use, battery problems again... definitely do not recommend the product, specially for that price and continuous dissapointment.</span>
