But getting him to train in a standing urinal was a major task for me. I am so glad I found this as it was the perfect thing I was looking for. He would actually run out of the room when we asked him if he wanted to sit on the potty. Then we introduced the My Size Urinal 2 weeks ago and he&rsquo;s already a pro! Accidents are virtually non-existent and he actually gets excited to go and runs into the bathroom now! The packaging was easy to open, and the instructions and install were easy to follow. It&rsquo;s the perfect size for a little one without being in the way in our small bathroom. It looks very realistic and the flushing handle sound is his very favorite part. The blue target makes aiming a fun game and helps minimize splashes. It empties easily and is simple to clean. I wish we&rsquo;d tried this sooner! We placed it on the wall of our kids bathroom. Immediately out of the package my (otherwise uninterested) potty training 2yr old wanted to see how it worked. Go figure, the kid that refused to sit on the toilet, was enticed by a urinal! He loved the real flushing noise and the spinner. Given he's still learning...it is quite a messy clean up. But most potty training methods are, haha. I was wrong! This is a great product for little boys who are potty training or who have already potty trained on a toilet but aren&rsquo;t particularly good at peeing standing up. My three-year-old is pretty confident on the potty, but he refused to pee standing up until we started using this urinal. What got him interested? The little blue spinner toward the bottom that spins when it gets peed on. It&rsquo;s incentive that also helps with aim, though my son gets annoyed that it doesn&rsquo;t actually spin very much, so I might need to lower it a bit on the wall to help with this. Personally, I Iove the simple design that is small, clean, and mostly white and silver, which goes with any bathroom aesthetic. It fits almost anywhere and installs easily on the wall with adhesive strips. Emptying it is pretty easy &ndash; the &ldquo;bowl&rdquo; can be lifted away from the main mechanism on the wall, poured into the toilet, rinsed, and put back with little effort. I wish the portion that lifted off to clean was smaller, but I recognize that if that design change was made it would probably make the product more difficult to clean, so it is worth that trade off. The urinal also has a handle that, when pressed, makes a flushing sound. At first he was super excited with the flushing noise that the urinal makes when the lever is pulled down. He still wasn&rsquo;t ready to use the urinal, but was happy to &ldquo;flush&rdquo; after every potty attempt. It took him some time but he now enjoys actually using the urinal. He likes to aim at the turning wheel and likes when it turns. It&rsquo;s definitely a great fun tool for potty training. It is easy to empty out. I do wonder how well the wheel will keep clean since it&rsquo;s small and not easy to reach to clean. I do suggest to read the instructions on where to mount the urinal so it can stick well to your wall. It is a good size that doesn&rsquo;t take up too much space. He is 3.5 and &ldquo;potty trained&rdquo; but kept having a big pee mess on the toilet since the per would seep out between toilet seat and toilet. He tried every little potty, potty seat, without a seat, and we even purchased two other toilet seats. None worked, and he refused to stand on a step stool instead of sitting. He really liked using this since we could put it at exactly the height he needed. The step stools we tried he seemed wobbly and nervous. This totally solved the problem! As a mom, I enjoyed how easy it is to clean with no extra nooks or crannies to clean out. It really looks like a urinal he will see at school or at restaurants and stores. We have him using our half bathroom on the main level, I like how compact this urinal is and doesn&rsquo;t take up a bunch of room in our small bathroom. While this urinal isn&rsquo;t new for potty trainers, I never even considered purchasing one that was cutesy frog or car shaped, urinals do not need to look like toys!
