I think the nightime video quality is better if there's high contrast colours between baby and the crib. But my beef is with the mounting kit. We used the sticky mount provided, but when we went to move the camera it ripped up the paint and even the drywall paper beneath it! I understand it's a strong adhesive, but I had the understanding the sticky mount was a way to get around damaging the wall in order to install it. Also, the kit should include replacement sticky mounts. The cameras take forever to turn on and off. The range is not what they say. The monitor keeps losing connection from the camera for no reason even if the monitor doesn&rsquo;t move. The picture quality is better than other cameras but could be better. The camera are excellent and the video quality is great. The issue is with the monitor itself- It comes with rechargeable batteries and is very portable. The problem is the standby mode. There is no way to adjust when the monitor turns off. So at night when it is plugged in, it is always on. When you change rooms and take monitor with you, it will time-out after a time. You have to turn it back on to see the image. This is a major downfall of the product. It claims to have a 1000 ft range but if you want the monitor to &quot;be on&quot; you HAVE TO have it plugged in. The monitor screen is large and while it's not the highest quality you can find, you're still able to see baby breathing at night. Also, I love that I didn't have to go through the hassle of screwing something into the walls. The camera wall mount is sturdy to hold the camera and help move the camera in different angles. The camera are small and lightweight and do not take up a lot of space. They are easy to remove from the wall mount and can be taken on the go. The monitors displays great picture quality in daylight and at night. It is easy to see my children. It's great quality, the 5 inch screen is nice and the sound comes through very clearly. We love the no-hole mount - we're renting our place at the moment and it's nice to not need to drill holes in either our furniture or the wall. I did have to reinforce with additional tape (but the paint used in our place was super cheap so that could be the culprit). It's also really easy to bring the camera from room to room as needed. I really like having the temperature reading too - my daughter's room is small and mostly relies on the heat and air conditioning from adjoining rooms. It's great to know the temp of her space without walking in and risking waking her up. There are a couple of things I'd change: 1) I have two kids and love having two cameras available on one monitor. That said, I wish there was a one-button push to switch between cameras instead of having to go to the menu button and click down to the other camera. It switches every 8 seconds when on rotation, but the one-button push makes a difference if a kid is crying or potentially waking up. 2) The camera is clear enough to see what's going on, but it's not crystal clear. A monitor I purchased over 3 years ago is significantly clearer for a lesser price point. It's no clearer during the day than at night, so it's not a night-vision thing either. Overall, this is a great monitor.
