There's nothing a parent wants more than for their baby to be comfortable. That's why we've combined our award-winning breast-like nipple with the latest in anti-colic innovation to create the new Tommee Tippee Advanced Anti-Colic bottle. The unique 3-piece anti-colic technology draws air away from milk and the star valve keeps milk from traveling up the tube meaning 80% less gas**, spit-up and fussing. And 100% more smiles. Plus, a built-in heat sensing straw gives you extra reassurance that your milk is just the right temperature so both you and baby can feed comfortably. **We consulted 210 parents who tried using this product to reduce their child's colic symptoms, 80% of them agreed the bottle had successfully reduced the symptoms (June 2017)

Worked for a week, then leaked
I was loving these bottles because my daughter was fighting me with the bottle when I tried supplementing her with formula. I don't know if its because I changed the formula or the bottle but she started taking formula from these bottles. But after a week of use they started leaking. I would open and close them numerous times in order to get it to stop leaking. I don't know what went wrong after a week but they all the sudden became so difficult to open and close and leaked heavily. I had 4 of these and all of them leaked. And I only gave her a bottle one or twice a day so I didn't get much use in the one week that I used them. Plus they are bulky and don't fit in the bottle pockets of my baby bag which is very annoying because I don't like bottles floating around my baby bag. Also the nipple would collapse a lot but it wasn't a major issue.

Very disappointed
We have a 2 week old and had been using the Playtex Drop ins. After seeing how expensive it is to use the drop ins (as a box of 100 liners lasted a little over a week), we decided to try a different bottle. I read the reviews of this bottle and even though they were mixed, figured I'd give it a shot. I found two things wrong with this bottle, which has made feeding my baby difficult. The first problem is the nipple flow is too fast (and it's supposedly the slow flow). Maybe my baby has a faster suction, but she ends up pulling too much formula in and chokes on it. A slow flow nipple should drip once when you turn the bottle over and then stop. This had a steady drip. I could tell she gets frustrated when trying to feed from this one as opposed to the Playtex. The second issue we found was it's rather difficult to warm the bottle (without a bottle warmer). The formula ends up being colder than you think. Until we think of something else, my husband and I are going back to the Drop Ins.

A Godsend!
Unfortunately I have been "blessed" with flat nipples, and therefore have latch issues. I ended up having to pump exclusively my first child her first year. That was no picnic!! Well, I had determined I couldn't do it a second time around. So when my son was born and I experienced dejavu, I was so disappointed and sad. I felt like a complete failure as a mother. I decided I would pump again, much to my dismay. Tried the Playtex Advanced VentAire, flow was to fast for him, and he was starting to show signs of dehydration from not feeding enough, so to Baby's R Us we went. Decision was between the Playtex Naturals wide nipples and Tommee Tippee's Closer to Nature. I just had this gut instinct that said go for the TT's. Let me say that I am almost in tears typing this review right now because of how happy I am with this product. Not only did he take to this bottle immediately, but when I attempted to breastfeed him again the following day, he TOOK my breast! This was the first time either of my children had ever fed for longer than a minute or two, (even with the help of Medela's nipple shield guards). Now a week later, he exclusively takes my breast, and I could not be happier! Whenever he is a little frustrated because of being hungry, I just put some of my milk in the bottle. Let him take a few sucks, then he latches right on with no problems. Anyone that has latch issues can understand how frustrating and tiring it is, I just hope this bottle can help them like it has us.

Would never go back to another bottle!
Before Matthew was born, we asked people's opinion on bottles for feeding. We received feedbacks and a lot of people told us about Avent and the Playtex bottles. At first, we tried the Playtex bottles. He absolutely did not like them. He suffered from colic and would cry a lot at night. Then, we tried the Avent bottles. He was okay at first but then again, he was very colicky and would cry for about an hour at night. It was so hard to see him suffer like that. One day, my husband and I went to Babies R Us and we saw that they had this new product. It said that it helped with colic. We bought four bottles of the sensitive tummy to give it a try. During the day, we used the Avent bottles but later in the day, we used the Tommee bottles. He reacted really well to them. One day, we went out all day and only took the Avent bottles thinking we would be back early. That night, he cried for over an hour because he got colicky. We decided to get rid of the Avent bottles altogether and buy four more bottles. Ever since then, he has not had any problems. We totally recommend this product. Even though they are a little expensive, I would totally pay more if it meant that my son wouldn't suffer from colic again.

When I got this bottle I was switching from breastfeeding due to medical reasons, and I was highly upset at the loss of such a bond. I tried many brands of bottles but my son always made clicking sounds, he often was drowned with milk and coughed sporadically on the right stage nipple, and it was a nightmare holding a very long bottle that seperated us an extra seven inches! I got these on a whim, trying to find what worked best, and they are FANTASTIC. While weening he has switched perfectly between breast and bottle and I am sure he will love these for months to come. They never have vaccume just like they say, no bubbles in the milk, and he never makes that bad clicking sound anymore because it fits the shape of his mouth perfectly. I highly reccomend!! Oh did I mention they are 2-3 inches shorter and stocky compared to other brands but this difference allows for a different more natural closeness with their head turned slightly toward your body, without the bulky wide-handed hold because it tapers at your end? Awesome. These are made of win.
