However, the nipple was very easy for her to latch onto and she took to it right away. The special anti-colic vent also helped prevent her from getting as much air as she does from standard bottles so she did not spit up nearly as much as normal. It also does seem to do a good job keeping baby from getting too much air while feeding. My 2-month old (exclusively bottle-fed) seems to like this bottle. My main frustration with this bottle is that it requires 3 hands to (or 2 hands plus a clean place to lay bottle parts) in order to put formula into it. There are 3 distinct pieces to the bottle: the bottle, the lid with nipple, and the &quot;straw&quot; air valve. The way it is designed, the &quot;straw&quot; air valve takes up all the space at the top after you take off the lid/nipple. That means that it is impossible to hold onto 3 parts and put formula in. One of the features I like about this bottle is that the fluid ounce marks are very easy to read and are nice and big on the bottle. However my baby collapsed the nipple quite a few times while he was drinking out of the bottle and I'm not sure what the venting system actually does when I burped him the first time we had a bunch of formula come back up. When I shook the bottle to mix the formula I had formula leaking out of the bottle so it would be best if there was a shaker cap to use to shake your formula up. The bottles do leak if not properly put together, there are a bit more parts then I'd like and had to cut our own slits on the valve. She seems a lot less gassy and she is a much happier baby! And with more sleep mommy and daddy are much happier too! :) I wish we would have tried these sooner! I am however wondering if it's the shape of the nipples and not necessarily the &quot;sensitive tummy&quot; part that helped. I might try the regular Tommee Tippee bottles and see what happens. (They're a little cheaper.) The nipples are very soft and she seems to latch on to them very well. She made a lot of smacking sounds when using other bottles so I think she was taking in a lot of air. Cons- Yes, like other reviewers have said, the nipple does collapse occasionally. All you have to do is make sure the slit in the valve is open. I started opening the bottle back up after I mix it and just running my finger over it to make sure it's open. A little bit of a pain, but it only takes a second and it's so worth it!!! I would have to say another con is the amount of parts but I can see why they are needed. I have 2 short bottles with the regular vent in the nipple, 2 short with the sensitive system and 6 tall bottles that are sensitive too. so far at least half the nipples collapse - I have read your tips and some online from other parents but they still continue to collapse. Two of the tall bottles have leaked from under the white collar, pouring out when the bottle is inverted then set right up. I changed the collar and vent column from another bottle and it did not leak. This is very inconvenient as I never know when I take a bottle on the go if it will leak. These are probably the most expensive bottles on the market. If I still had the receipt or box to return them I would except that I would hate to switch at 4 months with my baby who really took to the bottles. Also I am quite infuriated to read on your site that there are no 6 month + nipples for the sensitive bottle system - so the 6 big bottles that I purchased thinking they would take me through the remainder of my child's bottle feedings will soon be NO GOOD TO ME! It is very tricky to put together, but if you read the directions carefully &amp; assemble it properly, it does NOT leak. Sometimes the nipple pushes in if he is sucking too hard. She's been on formula and has very bad reflux and spits up almost constantly. Dr. Brown's bottles worked well at first, but now they aren't working as well so we tried these. We only made it through one feeding. It was messy to prepare formula in the bottle - can't shake it or it leaks large amounts EVERYWHERE. Once the formula was mixed, she took to the bottle well but the nipple did keep collapsing which made her take more air. My husband got so frustrated trying to mix formula in these new bottles that he just went back to the old ones. We are going to go back to wide mouth bottles since she did do better with those before, but these aren't worth the extra hassle and money. I'm glad I did! Yes, it's tricky to put together the parts the very first time. I lost half oz in doing so. But once you get the hang of it, you'll love this bottle. Make sure the nipple is pushed all the way up into the collar. My 3.5 mn old is nursed and latched on to this bottle as if it was the real thing. I wish I had these in the first months when she was colicky. I love the temperature indicator feature. We used these bottles with my son the day he got home from the hospital. They leaked everywhere! Everytime my son would try to suck on them the nipples would collapse and leak. Do not waste your money.
