If the nipple is screwed on too tightly the nipple inverts and the baby dribbles everywhere, if its screwed on too loosely, the neck leaks. The flow is quite fast and my babies can just now handle the stage 1 nipples at 3 months old. Your baby may wear more of its meal than it drinks. We bought the sippy cups by this brand on an earlier visit for the toddler and were very impressed that they did not leak almost no matter what, so we decided to buy the bottles. They are great! They are easy to clean, do not leak and fit perfectly in the sterilizer which only takes 5 min to sterilize them (good for a busy household). I have been using other bottles with my daughter and finally just got sick of all the parts. Some of the parts were not very easy to clean and had to be replaced far too often. I switched to these Tommee Tippee bottles and it was the best choice! They still have the anti colic that my daughter needs for her reflux without all the extra parts.
