I am on my fourth kid and all I can say is, why didn't I get this thing sooner?!? My bay doesn't have her own room, so we just keep this in our living room next to the diapers and her toys. This would be PERFECT for a nursery for those overnight diapers changes during the newborn stage. My baby is a little older now, so I don't change her in the middle of the night anymore, but this would be perfect for that. The light is soft, perfect to be able to see things around you without waking baby. I love the touch free feature! No more fumbling with difficult wipe packages. The wipes were very easy to remove from the original package and place into the warmer. Mine did dry out after a few weeks but I just added a bit of water to rehydrate them as the instructions indicated and they were good as new. The lid opens and shuts very softly, another plus when you have a sleepy baby. Also, who wouldn't love a nice warm wipe on their bottom?!? I have always just warmed the wipes with my hands, so the warning feature is wonderful for that. Also, I found that a warm wipe actually makes cleaning baby's bottom so much easier, especially with the sticky ones. I would imagine a warm wipe would be wonderful at removing and wiping away those newborn meconium poops. :) I really wish I had this product when all of my kids were newbies! I feel like the design is genius and very ingenuitive, featuring three great abilities all in one little machine! The quality on this warmer is excellent as well. The plastic is strong and stable, not flimsy, and doesn't slide around or wobble at all. The cord is nice and long so it would work fine on a higher surface such as a changing table or a dresser. I love the ability this warmer has to open and shut with just a small wave of a hand. The sensor has the perfect sensitivity so you won't be saving your hand vigorously to get the lid to open. Just the smallest little wave will open it with ease. I highly highly recommend this smart, innovative product! In my opinion, it is a must have on the baby registry and would make a wonderful gift to any new parent. I've been using this wipes dispenser for a couple of weeks now, and there's a learning curve. I've used a manual wipes dispenser for 3 years, since my first son was born. I underestimated the difficulty of learning to wait for the motion sensor to detect my movement and of learning to let it close on its own. My instinct is strong, given how many wipes I've used in the past few years. I often still find myself slapping the lid down. Having an automatic dispenser does have its benefits, as when my hands are dirty, I don't add to the mess. The warmer also keeps the wipes delightfully warm, never too hot. The capacity of this dispenser is quite large as well. I think this is perhaps a negative, as when the wipes are half full, I find it loses its fold with the wipes before it and I have to reach in through the top to grab another wipe to finish the job. The nightlight is good for night time changes, and you can change the duration of the light.
