The sliding top is super easy to open and close. The only thing is for the price, I would have hoped it would hold a few more diapers. I like that I can use my own trash bags and don't have to use special ones. It contains the smell so my baby's room doesn't smell like a daycare. My only complaint is that I feel the pail does absorb the smell somewhat even though it says it's not supposed to because of the material it's made of.</span>
