We have a newly turned one year old in our family who absolutely adores this toy. He is a little bit destructive and is in the throwing stage. This toy is very durable! He loves to turn the pages and listen to the songs. It's great when he is sitting in his high chair and we are making his food it keeps him occupied. I love how I can wipe it down easily and it doesn't destroy the book. It's good as new and clean. It teaches colors, Nursery Rhymes, Vocabulary and animals. One his favorites songs is singing the Bingo song. I highly recommend this book and think this would make a great baby shower or first Birthday gift. I think a lot of kids can learn while playing with V-Tech. However&hellip;this book is not worth it. It is a short book and while the box boasts how it has a ton of songs and learning capabilities, I think a child would learn way more by just reading a regular book with an adult. There is a button that plays songs, and frankly my twins only wanted to push the button. The speaker plays a muffled version of nursery rhymes but as I stated before, kids would benefit better from a parent or guardian actually singing the songs with them. Because the actual pages of the book are so few, they lost interest pretty fast. As a parent of a toddler with a slight speech delay, I want toys that will help him with words, and this book does not do that. There is an interactive search and find feature that prompts your child to point out different animals and colors. It is made of sturdy plastic that won&rsquo;t break when dropped, a carrying handle on top that makes it perfect for travel. It has a smooth cover that &ldquo;magically&rdquo; changes the animals shapes when you move it back and forth. The suggested age range on this toy is 9-36 months and while my 3 year old loves to play her 6 year old sister likes to read it to her and then play the sound back when they are done.
