He loves to push the animals back into the train and is just starting to pick up the fact that he can hit the buttons for them to pop out. I highly recommend this! The string is not long enough for him to pull without bending his knee. We had a similar toy for my first except it was mobile. She was mesmerized when the thing would pop open. This toy is even better because now it&rsquo;s mobile. My kids love dragging this train all over the house. The toy requires 2 AAA batteries, although demo ones are included. The three pop ups along the train can be opened to reveal animals by either pushing, flipping and twisting them open. The train also lights up and plays music or tells you fun facts. My only qualm is that I wish the pull string attached to the train was a little longer.
