I get to place the camera in the living room and take the monitor with me throughout the house while I'm cleaning up and still get to keep an eye on my children. I ca. See my children very clearly in daytime or nighttime. The camera can be turned from the monitor. I can speak to my children through the monitor. I can play lullabies for my little ones through the monitor. This camera can run on or off wifi. It has a very clear view which I love. It is very easy to install and link to together. I love that I can hear my children through the monitor. Overall this camera and monitor has helped me so much by allowing me to move around my home to clean without having to run in the living room every 2 minutes to check on my children.... with the monitor I can pull it out and check on my children while cleaning my home. My older kids have been waking up and going downstairs, but they&rsquo;re still not at an age that I fully trust them yet. I have it set up so I can see the entire downstairs, and I love that I can stay upstairs with the baby and give the older kids some more independence. The camera itself is decent quality. It&rsquo;s not HD or anything, but I can see exactly what I need to. The screen is huge, so it&rsquo;s very easy to see what&rsquo;s going on. The pan option on the camera is great, and it doesn&rsquo;t lag on the screen. The only complaint that I have about this camera, is that it takes a little longer than I thought it would to actually connect to the monitor. The features on this camera are very nice. I love that it shows the temperature, plays music/white noise, has a talk feature, sensitivity setting and a WiFi option. Not only do I use this for my kids, but I also use it as a &ldquo;doggy camera&rdquo; for when we go out. I had a camera that only hooked up to my phone, and I found that it drained my battery way too quickly. I like how I have the option for both with this monitor. Overall, I am very happy with this baby monitor. Setup was easy, with the detailed instructions. The size of the monitor is quite large and the picture quality is outstanding. The wide angle of the camera gives you a clear view of the entire nursery/room. You can pan up to 360 degrees and zoom up to 10 times the with the mobile app. The automatic infrared night vision picture quality is just as good at daytime. I love the WIFI option, so I can connect using my phone anywhere. Signal strength is great, no issues with connectivity. The built-in temperature sensor is a great added feature. So out of the box they are working on a closed loop at 2.4HGz Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) with the parent unit LCD. You can leave them as is, or you can choose to go to the App store, download the free MyVtech APP, set up an account password, and then go into the Parent Unit and enable WiFi on the camera. If you do this, then the video stream is visible on up to 8 WiFi smart devices (smartphone, laptop, tablet, etc) as well as the Parent Unit which is always active on 2.4GHz(you must have WiFi in your home to enable WiFI).
