There is wifi available, but you don't have to use it. The image is clear, with a nice wide angle view. Zooming in is still fairly clear, and the stand on the monitor is sturdy. The downside to this baby monitor is that it is very quiet. I have to have a fairly quiet room to hear my baby move around. Realistically, she has to cry for me to hear her if I'm doing anything. So for babies that wake up and don't cry right away, this may not work out for them. The sound is a large part of a baby monitor, so I'm not sure why it's made like this. Setting up the monitor and camera was easy. We followed the directions and had no issues pairing the camera and monitor. The video quality on this monitor is amazing, both the night &amp; daytime are high enough quality that if I focus in on my son&rsquo;s stomach I can see him breathing while he sleeps. The signal range is great too. We have a two-story house and all our bedrooms are upstairs. We never lose signal when we are in our living/family room downstairs and can peacefully watch our baby sleep with a very clear vision on the screen. The controls on the monitor are easy to use and the buttons are large enough to see and use in the middle of the night. One of the amazing features is its ability to rotate it to see the whole room and zoom on to get a better view of the sleeping baby. Overall, it is a great device and does what it promises and more. It's really polished all around. The camera is awesome and lets you see all over the room with the &quot;pan and tilt&quot;. The display / controller thing is great quality too. Video looks good, the interface is really good. Super easy to set up. The only thing that isn't absolutely amazing is the 'soothing sounds' - the speaker in the video camera just isn't powerful, but we wouldn't use that feature either way, so it works for us. The temperature sensor is a great touch. This thing is just awesome. OH, and my wife set up the remote access and loves it! It&rsquo;s super easy to set up as its pretty much just a plug and play as long as you&rsquo;re using the parent device. If you want it on your phone, connecting to WiFi was also a breeze. The picture quality both during day and night were great. The nightlight feature is actually a usable. The light was bright enough and worked perfectly for a nightlight. The camera is small and lightweight. Since you don&rsquo;t have to mount it, it can easily be moved around as your needs change. My favorite part is the tilt. The screen is large, the color is great and it has a longer range. But it takes a long time to start up and connect to the camera, sometimes up to a minute. My biggest frustration is that you can't add additional cameras. My wife downloaded the app on her phone which serves as our second monitor while my oldest daughter has the baby monitor. Once you download the app, there is the same functionality with the monitor. You can see the baby wherever you go; plus, you can also talk or communicate because of the talk button. It is amazing that there's also different lullabies that you can play with plus the night light feature. This video monitor is really functional because it will alert you when it detects sound and movement in the room.
