From functionality, to ease of use, to practical features, this VTech baby monitor is perfect for parents. VTech is a reputable brand in our household and these monitors are no exception. One of my biggest worries was setting up both cameras, the monitor, and linking everything up to our WiFi. Some electronics are difficult and annoying to set up, but not this VTech system. The monitor actually came pre charged and I was able to power it right up out of the box. I plugged in both cameras as well and miraculously everything started working. I was able to immediately see video from both cameras and operate them both. As long as all three pieces are with the same WiFi in your house, there is virtually zero set up. I was really surprised by this and I was able to start using them immediately. The first thing I noticed was how clear the video was. The image is very crisp and sharp, even when you move/tilt the camera or use it in night mode. You can also zoom in quite a bit without the picture getting fuzzy. This is helpful when you really need to zoom in to make sure everything is ok with your little one. The sound is also very high quality and not distorted at all, even when the sound is loud. The functionality of the monitor is very easy and intuitive to use. You don&rsquo;t need to be an expert with electronics to switch cameras, adjust features and switch settings. The menu screen is neatly laid out and things are easy to find and navigate. Another nice touch is that the monitor has a stand on the back to prop it up. One aspect that really makes this system stand out are the little additional features. You are able to use each individual camera as a nightlight. The base lights up with many color options and you can control them by touching the top of the camera or through the monitor. You are also able to play music, sounds, and white noise through the cameras which comes in handy during the night. There are also sound, temperature and motion alerts can set. As a parent, you always worry about these things but this monitor gives you some peace of mind as you can set alerts for any of these. I&rsquo;m very impressed with this VTech baby monitor. As a parent, you can tell it was designed with both the baby and parents in mind. Every design was carefully thought out. Everything you want to monitor, you can. Our favorite features are the on the go remote access. We are able to see or little one even when we are outside of the generous 1,000 ft. range. The two way radio is another one of our favorite features. We are able to soothe our little one back to sleep without going into the room. The video quality is excellent and we are able to monitor the baby anytime of the day. The network with Vtech is very secure and encrypted. It wasn't very clear in the instructions I received that you have to hold the button on the bottom of the camera for quite a bit before it will pick up and pair the devices. I had tried for about 30 minutes before I became frustrated and gave up. Decided to give it another go and just kept holding the pairing button down and FINALLY it paired. Wifi took a bit to pick up as well even though I was right next to the router. After it's initial setup though the camera and display is amazing! I love the app that you download as well. It comes with milestones for different ages and activities you can do with your child. I got it for my 3 year old daughter&rsquo;s room because she likes to get up and play very early in the morning in her room. So far I&rsquo;ve been very impressed with the camera. I love how it comes with and monitor AND it also has an app I can view too. This is amazing because my nanny can use the monitor at home and I can check in on her from work. My favorite feature that I love is you don&rsquo;t have to pay extra to take photos or videos and they save directly to your phone. I also love that you can move the camera to pan the room with the app or with the monitor. It is also a wide angle camera, so I can see if my daughter is still sleeping or playing quietly in her room in the morning with her stuffed animals. The camera is set at 720p to preserve battery life (can also use 1080p) and is absolutely the most crystal clear image I&rsquo;ve had on any baby monitor I&rsquo;ve own. It also has a nightlight, can play sounds and has a two way walkee-talkee feature. I also like that I can mute the monitor and can still be notified if there is sound in my daughter&rsquo;s room with the sound activated light alarm. Has all the bells and whistles I was looking for. The clarity and vivid colors of the video images are much better compares with the previous one we were using. That pan and tilt upgrade is super cool ! It comes with 2 amazing cameras which also have a night light function on each. My baby loves the ever changing colors it lets off. I love its resolution from app to the clear screen monitor it comes with. It having the pan &amp; tilt 360 degree motion is just icing on an already stacked cake. Every parent should have this camera monitor for not only their baby safety, but the parents piece of mind. The Vtech baby monitor comes with two Full HD cameras and one 5-inch 720p display monitor that are capable of running on WIFI. The setup was a breeze. The camera was picked up by the monitor although it does take the monitor a little bit to connect to the cameras, after that I was able to connect to the WIFI and ready to go on the &ldquo;Baby Pro&rdquo; mobile app. This camera is loaded with great options and features. Over the years, as a parent, I have used quite a few baby monitors and this is my second Vtech baby monitor. The Vtech baby monitor stands apart from my previous monitor in its video, image, sound, and user interface and probably the most important of all, security and there were some places where I had had some issues. So, let&rsquo;s go over some of the features, Pros and Cons of the Vtech 2 Camera, 5 Inch Smart WIFI 1080p Pan and Tilt baby monitor. -Unboxing and Setup In the box you get 2 Pan, Tilt and Zoom capable camera with a built-in microphone and speakers, along with a monitor with a 5inch and 720p display, three power adapters, and two mounting brackets. The setup is simple, the camera comes already paired to the monitor, so you would need to do is plug in the camera and monitor and power them on. So, this is where I ran into my first issue. The camera and monitor take a few minutes to pair and link up. The display shows a message of &ldquo;Establishing a secure connection&rdquo; but in my opinion it takes almost about minute to link up and it does that every time you power off the monitor and power it back on. This baby monitor also has WIFI built-in so that you can remotely look after your kids via your phone or tablet. This is where I ran into my second issue. It took me multiple tries and restarting the unit before my unit was finally able to connect and once it did, it worked just fine. This monitor is packed with really cool functions and features which I will discuss below. -Features - Signal Range-The Vtech baby monitor has pretty good range with the monitor and amazing range and signal with WIFI. So, with just the monitor alone, I was able to walk around my entire house about 2400sq ft without loosing signal and with the WIFI connected I was able to check up on my kids from work about 25 miles away and talk to them without any problems. -Camera- The camera on this unit records at 720p and pans 360 degrees, tilts 110 degrees and has an available zoom up to 24x with a 2K CMOS video sensor. The camera has a built-in microphones and speakers so you are able to clearly hear and communicate with your child. Also, the cameras have a pretty good night vision mode. The cameras also have the ability to play white noise and other lullabies. The cameras also have built-in night lights with adjustable modes and brightness levels. So, one important note, even though the cameras are FULL HD you can only view 720p on the monitor and are able to get the FULL HD on your phone or tablet when connected to WIFI and the monitor needs to be powered off for you to be able to get the FULL HD display on your phone. -Monitor- The monitor boasts a large 5-inch 720p display with a very clear and sharp display. My usage with the display being on constantly, I was able to get close about 10 to 12 hours of usage. The monitor has a built-in non-removal battery, so I am unsure of how many milliamps hours the battery has. - 5 Lullabies and 5 white noise and sound options - Night light Options &ndash; Rainbow, Campfire and Wave options along with 7 color options with adjustable brightness and timer. -High and Low Temperature Alerts -Auto wake and Sound Detection &ndash; The Vtech baby monitor has auto wake and sound detection option. The auto wake option will put your monitor into sleep mode, meaning the display will turn off and once it detects sound the monitor will turn back on. -Multiple Display Options &ndash; One really cool feature or a feature that I like the most was the ability to view both cameras on the monitor at the same time or have the cameras on a timed display. All in all, this is a great baby monitor. It has a nice large and clear display with excellent camera quality and a user-friendly interface. I got this for my new baby granddaughter so far so good very easy to set up. Now for the features, it offers free live remote access via smartphone or tablet and also you get a free subscription and with no monthly fees to my VTech baby pro app. Has a really nice 5-in color LCD screen with a light that can be controlled as a night light. Nice range at a thousand feet and up to 12 hours of video streaming. The viewing is 135&deg; , 360&deg; cameras (2) featuring pan, tilt and zoom. You can use it at home or on the go and also features local or remote two-way talk. Monitors room temperature also, as I mentioned above so so many features. Requires a/c outlet and Wi-Fi. VTech in my opinion has always been a high quality product. No I&rsquo;ve gone from the cheaper options of using a security cam to even more expensive ones like the Nanit. However if anything else they don&rsquo;t work as well because of one flaw witches have been consistent good video feed over in more than one device. The best feature of this camera baby monitor is that unlike all the other ones you don&rsquo;t gotta worry about an app. No matter what phone you have what operating system I hate to break it to you but that up at one point won&rsquo;t work and that one time is one too many. This is about our child and the thing needs to work all the time and that&rsquo;s what I love about having a monitor that&rsquo;s independent what your phone is using and everything else. The screen on the monitor is a legitimate good quality screen you can zoom in you can see what&rsquo;s going on and not have to worry about anything. I also love that this came with two cameras so I can have one in the living room and one in the bedroom and I just use the monitor and I&rsquo;m set to go. This is also prayed when you have someone who&rsquo;s taking care of the kid who may not be technically savvy and you don&rsquo;t need to give them access or have them login with an app. You give them the monitor you say here it is and it&rsquo;s all set and you don&rsquo;t have to worry about every other little problem that may come up. I bet use this for the past month and it has never froze crash or not worked. I&rsquo;m surprised how great this is for the cost compared to others on the market.
