I understand you get what you pay for, but this didn't even meet minimum standards. A) the camera angle wasn't as adjustable, it would only stay in place if it was fully upright and clipped into the base, or if I angled it down to be able to see the bassinet, throughout the day the lens would drop further and further down until it was at 90 degrees to the ground. B) the battery life is super garbage. And the annoying perpetual beeping to notify of a dying battery is so obnoxious, it has woken up my son on so many occasions, can't be turned off. C) there is no functionality to keep the LCD screen on without it turning off. When I'm working, I like to keep the monitor next to me to be able to glance over and check on my son. I didn't want to spend too much, since this is our second baby and he's almost at the age where we could use just audio. I decided on this monitor because all I really wanted was eyes on him and I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of this monitor especially for the price! It exceeds the quality of our old Motorola, and the range is much better. I like that you can easily find the volume buttons, that you can easily turn the screen off, and that you can change the sensitivity of the parent unit. The parent unit also feels very durable - which was a downfall of our last one. The only thing that I miss is being able to move the camera from the parent unit, but that's reflected in the price. For example when we first got it the camera was on a stand right next to the bassinet, and the image was clear. The first unit was great! It had a long battery life and was a great price after a lot of reviews. However, we lost the parent unit which led us to order a second unit. The second one (like a few reviews mentioned) has a low battery life. It doesn&rsquo;t last a single day. We even use it with no camera mode and just use the sound and it dies so easily. The parent unit also has some sort of issue with the screen that keeps turning white on and off which is why I gave this unit 2/5 starts. The first unit is a 5/5. Overall I paid $150 for two units in total (which is still a great price compared to other models).
